I STARTED WALKING IN THE WAY...

This comment can be found here.

I started walking the Way some years ago. I was not in a rocky marriage or dealing with alcohol or drug addiction. I just wanted to do something more in my faith journey. I really did like the message and I did grow spiritually. One of the first things I started to be uncomfortable with was the negative and condescending remarks by some in the Way about those not in the Way especially the priests. As I saw and heard more I started to hear our Archbishop say negative things, something in a vague way but then sometimes clearly, about the priests and even his own brother Capuchins. Something inside me said this is not the spirit of Jesus. Little by little I startted having reservations. They gave me a hard time. Thankfully two and a half years away from Guam when I had to go to the mainland was my way out. I am back home now and saddened by what's going on. Please do not think all who are walking the Way are like this. I have dear dear friends and spiritual brothers and sisters in the Way still. Many are sincere. But there is something very dark in the hearts of our leaders (not all). But the higher up they go it seems the darker it is. I do know the Archbishop will never turn against the leaders in the Way. Rome has to step in. God bless us all.

    1. Let me guess...invitation to joy? For those who find joy in the Way I say God bless you. Just understand there are other ways to find joy; in the Holy Rosary, in Eucharistic Adoration, in other movements also approved by Rome, in many other ways.

I normally attend a "Neo" parish and have been offended by their message of joy, especially when they proudly boast " I come to tell you that Christ is coming!"

I say, HEY - HE IS ALREADY HERE. Look in the Tabernacle, look in Mass, look in the faces of all your neighbors. The Neo didn't bring Christ, God gave Him to all of us as a free gift.

So, to those Catechists who are looking for new communities to form, please do not insult me as in the past. Jesus is already here and I found Him elsewhere. Thanks!

  2. Just saw PNC News. A written apology to Father Paul and the Lastimoza Family is good. Since the incident appeared via media, it would be nice for the Archbishop to publicly announce his apologies so we can also witness it.

    1. What written apology? The archbishop has not and will never issue a written apology. He is just that kind of person.

    1. Hmmm... Maybe we should start calling the parishes and asking the priest when they plan on having the neos talk so that we could find another parish to attend.

I don't want to miss Sunday mass but I don't want my Sunday mass to be ruined by hearing a neo who should NOT be on the altar preaching that I did not find Jesus unless I join their way. I think I will start calling around to see which parishes are not going to have neo preachers.

If you plan on calling...you should ask to speak to the priest and ask him personally if and when he will be having the neo talk. Better to hear it from the "horses" mouth.

Shame on the priest if you attend his mass after he told you there will be no neo talk. Let's all start getting up and walking out the door when the talk begins!!!

  4. I myself have been involved with the neos and it is true, the bishop makes ugly remarks about non neo clergy including his brother capuchins.

  5. I think I will stand up and ask if the mass is over, if not, the let the continue and have the commercial come after the end of the mass so people won't have to sit and fidgit in the pews listening to the catechist tell a story of how he found the lost Jesus.
