JUDAS, LIARS, SLAVES TO SATAN...WELCOME TO THE CLUB

Apparently, according to Kiko, those of us who oppose "the Way" are liars and slaves to Satan. In fact, we are "Judas" - on a mission to kill Neos:
"Finally, there is a third circle, a third group of brothers and sisters, those who live a lie, who have always lied to themselves. They are those in whom Satan acts, enslaving them.  Not necessarily because they are wicked, or due to any fault of their own, but perhaps for some reason or other that we will not investigate...This mission is very important because, without Judas, there is no Paschal Mystery of Jesus Christ. If you are called to be Jesus Christ, you must have your Judas. Each of you here will have your hour. Your life is in function of assuming an hour...All Christians are called by God to take on this hour.  When that day arrives, these people will have the mission of killing you, of destroying you." - Catechetical Directory for Teams of Catechists Vol. 1.
Hey, but at least he says it's not our fault. Apparently we're just unenlightened, unsalted, stupid and used.

Kiko, even draws us a picture:

  1. The picture is absolutely frightening.

  2. This thinking from Kiko is entrenched in the minds of the catechists of the Way and in turn to their followers. They tell their "catechumens" that outside the way there is nothing good. Even you're friends who are Catholic are bad. They aren't "salted" they say. You must salt them and bring them to the Way is what's often told to us. And if we refuse then they are "Judas". How very, very sad.

  3. The picture makes no sense at all to the catholic faith. It shows someone who is sadly very much off center. People need to think twice. The only way to follow is the person of Jesus Christ in the sacramental life of the church , scripture, tradition, and our catholic spirituality.

  4. When I first tried to “read” the drawing, I thought it looked as though:
    • Christ and fully fledged NCW members are “Salt,” in the inner circle — I originally thought it was Christ and the 12 Apostles, but realized there weren’t enough smaller circles emanating from the innermost one;
    • Those who are new to receiving Kiko’s “catechesis” — using that term very loosely! — are in the next circle and are the “Enlightened”;
    • Non-NCW members totally outside the circles — which would be the majority of us on Guam — are “JUDAS”

    But then I found the following explanation from a transcription of a 1997 seminar in a section titled “Divergence from Catholic Doctrine in the Neocatechumenal Catechesis.” Per Kiko Argüello:

    PREDESTINATION: If I am not responsible for my sins and if I don't have the possibility to change my life this means that my final end has already been determined: it's all up to predestination. As a matter of fact, in their catechesis and in Kiko's Orientations on p. 89, they have presented a drawing of three concentric circles. In the middle circle they have written "salt" ["wisdom"] which would indicate the people who belong to the Neocatechumenal Way. In the second circle they have written "the salted" ["the wise/knowing"] - those would be whom God has called to know the Good News. Finally, written in the third circle is "Judas" who would be those who don't uphold the Neocatechumenate community. They explain, "it is the role that has been assigned to them for a reason which we will not investigate: it is destiny and that's all."

    God didn't make the "Judases" to be "wise and knowing" and nothing can be done about it; it's neither good nor bad - that's just the way it is...period. Besides, Judas was assigned to kill Jesus (see p.361). If you are called to be Jesus Christ, you must have your Judas. So having people who oppose the Neocatechumenal Way actually gives validity to how the Way is set up. It says on p. 338 that "whoever is predestined for the Word will descend like a dove. You all have been elected by God to be the vault of the Word."

  5. Understood the drawing by kiko but it is certainly not in Comformity with catholic doctrine.

  6. Sure looks like a cult to me! The drawing surely depicts the mindset of the those in the Way. Why can't we just be united as One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic? Like Father Paul mentioned in one of his homilies, "there is a reason for everything that happens to us, We just need to hold on to our FAITH and TRUST in GOD!" This is what keeps me in the church, MY Faith that all this will lead to something GOOD! We are CATHOLICS and it is time for ALL CATHOLICS to stand up and fight for our FAITH! KEEP the Faith and Pray that GOD will soon end all this MESS on our island!

  7. Much of what is in Kiko's "catechesis" is not in conformity with Catholic Doctrine. Here are a few sites for those who care to learn more about what the Archbishop of Guam is trying to force on us:

    http://www.cathud.com/RESOURCES_CATHOLIC/pages_MR/PDFs/CULT_FICTION_eBook.pdf — This is the e-book "Cult Fiction: The Protestant Cuckoo in the Catholic Nest,” about 21 pages long, based on interviews with former NCW members and includes excerpts from the “Neocatechumenate Orientation Guide,” written by Kiko Argüello and Carmen Hernandez.

    http://www.christianorder.com/features/features_1995/features_apr95.html — The English translation of Fr. Enrico Zoffoli’s “The Neocatechumenal Way: A Fearful Danger to the Faith”

    http://www.internetica.it/neocatecumenali/english/excerpt-debate.htm — This consists of seven Testimonies. Although I have not read all of them thoroughly, the general tone is on the negative effects of the NCW on communities and in families. I did read “Divergence from Catholic Doctrine in the Neocatechumenal Catechesis” and the “Psychological Underpinnings in the Neocatechumenate Community”

  8. Salted and enlightened! It's okay, salt is bad for my cholesterol. I prefer to stay healthy spiritually, physically and mentally.

  9. I thought I saw a comment about a seminarian who ran away and now..disappeared. The comment, and the seminarian! I believe his name was Danny or Daniel. The Neos are in my parish (guess which) and some of those members do NOT (I repeat do NOT) keep stuff to themself. Some even whisper thier complaints. So anyway I heard from some of them that this Daniel was the favorite of the man on the hill way back maybe ten years ago. Ask for just him to pick him up at the airport and ask him to play the guitar when he sings. The guy was from LA I think. So he wants out and doesn't know how and the Neos never let thier seminarians alone. So the guy has to wait until they all go to my parish for a Neo event and somehow he arranges someone to secrelty drive him to the airport. I guess his family had a ticket waiting for him at the counter. And off he goes! I think he broke somebody's heart. But then came more replacements.

  11. I've always heard that the NCW thought those who did not "walk" were "devils" but I believed it to be hearsay. Seeing it referenced here I am speechless.

    I am concerned about our Catholic house on Guam being so divided that we fall. I thought of personally addressing the Archbishop but would he even care? What can we do?
