THE SMOKE OF SATAN

As mentioned, I don't bother going to Diana's blog. I simply cannot take the assault on intelligence let alone on our Holy Catholic Faith. However, the snippets forwarded me by others do prove useful from time to time. Here's one:

So, who is really causing division in the Catholic Church? Well, in the first place, it was not the archbishop who wrote or even spoke of any "presbyter conspiracy." This so-called "presbyter conspiracy" did not come from the NCW. Who was the one who wrote about the "presbyter conspiracy" and used an actual document misleading others into thinking that the NCW should never used the term "presbyter".....when in reality that document was addressed to the NCCB who wanted to change a term in the ordination rite.
Diana is referring to my blog post of 2/14/14 entitled THE PRESBYTER CONSPIRACY wherein I provide a quote from a letter from the Congregation of Divine Worship and the Sacraments (CDW) to what was then called the National Council of Catholic Bishops (NCCB), which is today called the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).

In the letter, the then-Prefect for the CDW (Cardinal Estevez) admonished the NCCB for using the word "presbyters" instead of "priests" in the revised rite of ordination which had to be submitted to the CDW for approval. The Prefect wrote:
Prominent among the problems is the decision of the translators to break with common Catholic usage and translate the Latin "presbyteri" into English not with "priests" but with "presbyters". This cannot meet with the Holy See's consent since it risks being misunderstood by the people and represents an unacceptable theological tendency. In particular it constitutes a retreat from a term that carries a sense of sacrality, that carries with it the history of the development of the faith in favor of a term which does not.
Since the NCW systematically replaces "priest" with "presbyter", this matter deserves more discussion. But for now, we simply note that Diana once again reaffirms that our bishops have no place in the NCW hierarchy, which, as she has already told us goes: Pope-Kiko-Catechists...no bishop, no priest, no pastor.

Diana reaffirms this bishop-less hierarchy by noting that the instruction from Rome was to the NCCB (the bishops) and NOT to the Neocatechumenal Way:
(I) "used an actual document misleading others into thinking that the NCW should never used (sic) the term "presbyter".....when in reality that document was addressed to the NCCB..."
So, according to the NCW (aka Diana),  because the document from the CDW was addressed to the bishops and not Kiko, the instruction has nothing to do with them.

We agree with you Diana. You are correct. The instruction from Rome had nothing to do with you! The instruction had nothing to do with you because the instruction was to the bishops of the Roman Catholic Church, the Church united to the Chair of Peter and obedient to our Church's legitimate magisterial authority.

Because you are NOT united to that same Church, Diana, you are correct in pointing out that any instruction from Rome that does not have Kiko's name on it - and even those that do (See December 1, 2005) - have nothing to do with you.

Thank you again for reconfirming what this blog is all about:
EXPOSING THE NEOCATECHUMENAL WAY AS A PARALLEL CHURCH.

By the way, Diana, you know that 2010 Archdiocesan study on unity I posted a bit ago. There were some questionnaires that were part of that study. One of the questions was about the OBSTACLES TO UNITY in this Archdiocese, i.e., the SOURCE OF DIVISION. Here is the outcome of that questionnaire, Diana:

  1. The Neo Catechumenate 35
  2. Lack of  Personal Communication 20
  3. Favoritism 18
  4. Reality vs Perception 16
  5. Resistance  to Change 16
  6. Prejudice 15
  7. Understanding Cultural Differences  9
  8. Making Time  8
  9. Lack of Affirmation  5
  10. Lack of understanding core communities  4
  11. Disobedience  4
  12. Work  3
  13. Gossip  3
  14. Lack of Clear Vision  3
  15. Self-indulgence  2
  16. Superiority  0

Do you see what is in first place, Diana? By a wide margin, Diana? And so far, the only answer to that division is to get rid of people like Fr. Paul and crank out presbyter yes-men to the Archbishop so that you can change that ratio. "The smoke of Satan..."

The quote from Diana is here in this screenshot in case some question its source.

  1. I don't think Diana has any sense of the ammunition she is gifting to those who are concerned about the NCW's theology and practices. Every word she writes is being collated. Thankyou Diana.

    1. That would be true. And that is what makes her observations useful. She is only repeating what she gets from the top. So we know where the sickness lies.

  2. Page 51 of this survey struck me the most....Archibishop: I don't want anyone to be threatened.......the root of the problem......yet, priests were threatened by letters to find a diocese to incardinated them if they do not join, or even open the NCW in their parishes. Finding the root of the problem? The problem as stated in the survey is the bond the Archbishop has with the RMS.

To have KIKO introduce the Archbishop as Cappuchino RMS, took me by surprise. This says it all!

RMS priests, mostly foreigners are given Pastoral positions in churches, yet the homegrown one Father Richard Kidd is only made and administrator to the church in Maina.

Sorry Father Richard, you are not made of RMS material so please take the back seat. You do not know the ropes of catechizing, giving homilies or even being a spiritual minister to the flock! These special qualities are only afforded and experienced through the rigorous teachings at the RMS.

Archbishop, Hafa na un akukudi mas a mamale' sanhiyong ki u no I propio pale' ni' didok irensia-na guine gi isla-ya? (Archbishop, why is it that you take better care of foreign priest rather than those who have deep roots/ heritage on our island?)

    1. But you have threatened the clergy your Excellency . This is the problem. The priests of Guam can no longer even communicate with you. Your Excellency you have created so much fear in the archdiocese many are afraid to even be in your presence. Our home, our church is now a divided community and your priests, we priests, are suffering in silence.

  4. The NCW has been established here on the island for over 25+ years. This report was taken 4 years ago. According to this report, the Archbishop knew that a problem existed with the presence of the NCW.

If he saw/ knew a problem existed why didn't he confront the situation head on? Did he think that by whaling in the way, the problems will disappear?

The problems didn't go away. In fact more issues have risen. More questions are being raised.

He even questions why so many priest opposed it. He states that those who joined benefitted from him. Did they actually joined or were they forced to join? How many clergies are now not as active as they used to be? Maybe the clergy members who joined are now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

As the saying goes, " when you know there is a problem, then nip the problem in the butt before it's too late." 20+ years of not facing the realities of what goes on in the church is too long.

Archbishop Apuron, you can't keep you cake and eat it at the same time. There has to be a give and a take.

  5. As a seminarian I was abused on Guam by a priest. Today I am a priest. Think about this and understand what's going on.

    1. Then you owe it to the Church and all of us to come forward and name names...which is the only reason I am letting this comment through. No future comments on this will be allowed through unless you or others similarly violated are willing to do what is right.

    2. Is this a game question? Because this is NOT a game. I have thought about it and I am getting sick.

  6. Glad to be back in Holy Mother ChurchMay 18, 2014 at 10:09 PM

I was in community back in the early 2000s and remember a responsible gladly proclaiming that there would be a whole new batch of presbyters for our communities. He later clarified that these presbyters were a batch of deacons who would enter communities.
While I don't think these deacons could have been "presbyters", it is revealing on how the NCW views priests and deacons to be equally necessary to the current plan, but not for their long term vision.
