DEAR MRS. BERNIE LASTIMOZA SANTO TOMAS

Tim:

Perhaps you could make my anonymous comment below a separate post.

Dear Mrs. Bernie Lastimoza Santo Tomas,

I share your indignation that someone would speculate that you are tied to the Mills letter by supplying information of your Uncle Joe, although I am disappointed that you would lash out at Mr. Rohr as being evil when it was not his comment. But you set the record straight by stating emphatically that you gave no such information about your Uncle Joe Lastimoza. I am glad that you responded to set the record straight and to express your indignation, but I was hoping for something a little more, from a relative and a neocat.

I was hoping that you would speak up on behalf of your Uncle Joe and his family. I was hoping that you say something positive about what he has done to rehabilitate himself after that awful crime he committed some 33 years ago. I was hoping that you would speak out and state emphatically that your Uncle Joe is not a threat to you, your husband, your kids, and the rest of your family, and as far as you know, to anyone else.

I was hoping that you would speak up and be indignant on how the Mills letter, while true about the crime that your Uncle Joe committed, would be crushing and debilitating on the lives of your Uncle Joe's wife and their two teenage daughters. As a mother, with a daughter and grandchildren, I was hoping that you would speak up on how the Mills letter is particularly devastating on those two girls, your cousins.

You, your husband, and your son, a Neo seminarian, are heavily involved in the Neo as well as the archbishop, Fr. Pius, vicar general, chancellor, and others, and I was hoping that despite your intimate involvement in the Neo, I was hoping that you would question why the archbishop had to use your Uncle Joe as an excuse or a pawn to fire Fr. Paul, when all the archbishop had to do was to transfer him, which would have been pastoral and humane, and certainly not destructive.

I was hoping that you would question and condemn how the archbishop maligned and defamed your Uncle Joe and Fr. Paul by intimating that they were engaged in some kind of inappropriate sexual behavior, and how such words coming from our Shepherd of the Church in Guam would be crushing on your Uncle Joe's family.

I was hoping that you would come out and say that your Uncle Joe has rehabilitated and repented, and that his family's embrace in coming back to Jesus and his beloved Church was a manifestation of that rehabilitation.

I was hoping that you would say that the crime your Uncle Joe committed was an adult crime, not involving minors or children, and that the hyperbolic and inflammatory statement by the archbishop that your Uncle Joe was a danger to kids (or to anyone else for that matter) was unfounded and merely a way to inflame readers and listeners against Fr. Paul.

I was hoping that you would be indignant at the callous and abusive use of your Uncle Joe and his family in this evil scheme that the archbishop has perpetrated. I was hoping that you would come out publicly and say to your Uncle Joe, his wife, and two girls: Courage! Do not let the abusive, defamatory, crushing, and pernicious words and actions of others such as the archbishop, vicar general, chancellor, Fr. Pius, and others destroy your faith and hope in our Lord Jesus Christ and his beloved Catholic Church.

I was hoping that as a family member, a niece, and one who was taught by the Neo to embrace the outcasts, you would defend your Uncle Joe and his family.

And I was hoping that instead of calling Mr. Rohr evil and that you would pray for him (not sure how you can condemn and pray for someone at the same time, unless it was designed to justify in your own mind the condemnation, no matter how unjust), I was hoping you would have said that you would pray for your Uncle Joe, his wife, and two girls. If anyone that has been truly destroyed and devastated from the illegal, unscrupulous, and brutal actions of the archbishop and his cohorts, it is your Uncle Joe and his family. Let us all pray for them.

Courage! God loves you.

  1. Yes, the "glee" by the Kikos over the re-condemnation of Mr. Lastimoza is in stark contrast to the words of Kiko Arguello to Pope Francis in a letter dated January 17, 2006:

"...we have always shown to the many brothers who have emerged from hell, full of wounds and of self-loathing, that in the Holy Eucharist the Lord makes present his love, dying and rising for them; and not only that, but prepares a table, an eschatological banquet, which makes Heaven present and where He himself, full of love, has them sit down and comes to serve them: “He will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them” (Lk 12:37). In this way, every time we celebrate the Eucharist we experience the power this sacrament has to draw them into the Passover of Christ, bringing them from sadness to joy, from darkness to light, from death to life… "

Obviously, the welcoming of the "many brothers who have emerged from hell" to the eucharistic table only applies to those who join the kikos. As we have so oft noted, if Mr. Lastimoza had come back to his church through the Neocatechumenal Way, Archbishop Apuron would have had him speaking in every church inviting the regular Catholics to the next catechesis. But because he is not a Kiko, he, his wife, his children, are slimed, slandered, and publicly spat upon by Archbishop Apuron and his kikos.

    1. I agree with your comment Tim. As a former neo, I have seen where a person who has had a criminal past or checkered past gets immediately embraced by the neo people to the point of being elevated as a model of what happens if you join the neo. These people become heroes and are paraded around as proof of the "fruits" of the neo.

    3. The hypocrisy is unbelievable. Just like the Pharisees that Jesus often condemned because of their short sighted ways and the hardness of their hearts, our Tony shows his absolute lack of Christ in his shepherding ways.
How did Jesus treat the woman caught in adultery? How did he treat the tax collectors and other sinful people? He treated them just like all those who thought they were paragons of faith - with love, mercy, and compassion.
Tim hits it right on the head. If this man had been in the NCW he would have been paraded from parish to parish as an example of the "fruits" of the NCW. But when someone like Fr Paul treats this man like Jesus would want us to, our Tony roasts him.
The example of Fr John Wadeson is another example of the hypocrisy of our Church leaders. Accused and banished from Los Angeles, Fr John is quickly welcomed with open arms, them sent him unsupervised to catechize in San Francisco and also on Guam.
Tony, your evil is a frightening reminder that the devil can lure even those most trusted by the Church to bring us to salvation. Step down so we may live, and then go seek repentance so that your future eternity is not so dark!

    4. The NeoCats revel in Pharisaic breast beating about how "sinful" they are. Arguello used to say at NeoCat fund raising events, organized for Jewish rabbis: "pray for me for I am a sinner". Wow, could you truly believe he means it...?

I don't think for any shred of a second that NeoCats mean it, when they say they are "sinners". They are not humble, but actually bragging about their privilege. What they yell to the face of the world is: We might be sinners and we may announce it open and loud! But you cannot do anything about us, because we are protected form any judgment!

Now this is shameful that they feel protected by an invisible power structure, a "shadow church" inside the Catholic Church. They think their fellow NeoCats in powerful positions will protect them no matter what. That is why they brag so loud. If they would be humble and truly feel sinful, then they would not oppress others, especially not the weak and powerless who cannot challenge the abuses of their subtle and diabolical power.
