CRISTOBAL: WE'LL CALL YOU. QUITUGUA: WE'LL CALL THE POLICE

If the Archbishop was innocent he would - as other bishops have done when accused -  have reached out to his accuser and simply said so. Whether or not Archbishop Apuron is innocent or guilty of molesting Mr. Toves' cousin, he has shown us in this episode that he is no longer fit for his office. Archbishop Krebs? Your turn.

PNC News
John Toves is denied a second time a meeting with Archbishop Anthony Apuron.

  1. And the Charade continues. So now we understand that the "open door" policy of the Archbishop is a sham.
We also can see that instead of love the archbishop will resort to facist tactics more in line with the habits a someone used to the heavy handed politics of Malta.
The emperor has no clothes, but he is the only one that does not know it.
    Oh! BTW Pius!!! still silent?
No explanation on the reasons you left Malta?
Guamanians would love to hear your side of the story......
May be like the Archbishop you forgot that an ounce of prevention if worth more than a pound of medecine.

    2. Actually, Frenchie, I believe AAA's "open door" policy primarily applies to his NCW brethren. The rest of us Non-NCWs really don't matter to him.

A friend and I tried to see AAA last year after Fr. Paul was removed from SBCC. We were initially told that he was on the telephone and that would see us in a few minutes, so we waited. However his secretary eventually came out to inform us that AAA was "unavailable" and she handled our visit. Mrs. Weisenberger was very warm and cordial but it was clear that AAA's "availability" was not consistent from one person to the next.

I can't help wondering if AAA will get a TRO against John Toves if, according to Quitugua's letter any attempt by Toves to "…'confront' the Archbishop on Chancery grounds or elsewhere, will be responded to appropriately and in accordance with the law." Unless there is a TRO prohibiting him from doing so, John C. Toves should be able to approach AAA in public, just like any other person should be able to.

  2. Met a Dominican priest from Malta who knows Pius and the present aux bishop who is the apostolic. Administrator of goza. He was working in the Vatican before returning to malta. They all seem to know Pius and his gimmicks of the past. Should this ever be revealed in Guam heads will turn....... Think you know Frenchie what I mean. According to sources he will do anything to protect his past and his cult.

    1. This is right Anon at 9.10 and 9.31, this would be as big or even bigger that Anthony's "pecadillos".....
The man in the shadows, the Eminence Grise of the Chancery, the man living at Apuron's palace, Kiko's rabid attack dog, and ultimately the true leader of the Archdiocese of Agana, will keep silent on his past.
He will keep silent and start attacking me (through his network of fantasy characters) and whomever pushes that issue, because his past is very ugly indeed.
This is probably the main reason his order does not want him back. He is a hot "tator" if there ever was one.
This is how Kiko makes sure of the allegiance to his dogma and his shenanigans, by taking under his wing people with questionable pasts.
Probably one of the reason they chose Tony to be the only Bishop in the NCW is that they knew of his past.
Who better to handle an evil man with little or no conscience that another evil man with even less conscience, a huge appetite for control and a need for revenge for what he perceives are the people that pushed him out of Malta.
Thanks fully, we now can communicate with people all over the world in seconds.
Secrets can no longer be kept buried for long.
This is a huge problem for those who pretend to lead us and who have huge closets full of skeletons.
When you live in a glass house, you don't throw stones.

    1. Bishop Apuron what have you done to the church of Guam? Every day one more nail nailed into the Body of Christ, the church, the people of God. Resign.

      Delete
    2. Guilty or not no longer important. Bishop Apuron shows he is no longer fit to govern the Archdiocese of Agana . Disunity of the local church grows daily.

      Delete
  8. If this apuron was pastoral, transparent and had the intention of building bridges and mending the hurt in our Church, he would not hide from a fellow Catholic. Even if he came with a boatload of media people, he would have nothing to hide. .. His act of embracing Toves would have done his reputation some good.

But no, Apuron not only hides from Toves, he gives him the run around. Then he sicks his perpetually sick, took-so-long-to-get-his-degree canon "lawyer" quitugua to try to shake him off his back!

Your threats of sending the authorities on Toves is a threat to all Catholics that would want to avail of your fake "open door" policy. Which actually mirrors your policy on clergy sex offenders, a fake And self-serving policy for apuron that can be molded to whatever crockpot rules and changes apuron wishes to make in order to lie and cover up his devil ways.

The media also represent the people. We know about the news in our island and the media can absolutely be the voice of the people. What you say to Toves in secret should be also for the public!

Shame on you apuron, cristobal, quitugua and now claros too!!!

Get out of our Catholic Church! You make a mockery of the real Catholics, the NonNeos! You faux examples of Jesus Christ!

  10. Typical knee-jerk reaction when an organization or someone does not have the coping mechanisms in place. Hiding behind civil law and hiding behind the Church. Use them as your shield (what happened to using God as your shield?). Yes, very typical knee-jerk reaction response.

  12. Monsignor David C. Quitugua,

Thank you for your letter confirming more and more that there is something amiss going on at the Chancery.

In your email letter posted here in the JW, you stated that Mr. John Toves was being "disruptive to our daily operations...". Please, clarify what the Chancery's daily operation is? Is the Chancery there to help and promote spiritual growth? Spiritual Healing? Or is it just a place of business (doesn't sound like Church business, more so, Monkey business!).

Those who are innocent should not be afraid to dialogue with their accuser. Is AAA innocent or not? If he is, as stated MANY times before, why doesn't AAA just say it? ANYONE can deny that allegations are not true. Denying it and saying it never happened are two different stances.

Why doesn't AAA just tell the media and our ENTIRE Catholic Faithfuls that it never happened? is it because it DID HAPPEN and if AAA were to say it never happened would be an outright lie?

Well, we can at least we can give credit to AAA for one thing he does consistently, he is consistent about not telling the truth! How sad of a leader/shepard is that?

("s" in shepard is purposely lower cased just as AAA has sunk to). That is sadness in its true form.

  13. Bishop Apuron simply needs to appear on local news informing the Archdiocese that the allergations are not true. Matter closed. Bishop Apuron responding as he has makes it worse.

  14. Jesus S.N. Cepeda: I read in Friday's (Dec 5) headline " Deacon says Apuron Innocent" "Church won't investigate molestation allegation". This sub-headline shopuld have read "Kiko's church won't investigate moslestation allegation". but we Catholics on Guam will push to the limit this allegations.

  15. Well, this is more evidence that they are damn good at pushing people out or pushing people away! Look at Fr. Simeon. Fr. Manny, Fr. Jun, Fr. Paul, Joe L., previous AFC Board, and Monsignor James.

  16. I do not understand why AAA will not meet with John Toves? Isn't he supposed to be readily available for all he leads on this island? Will he deny if a group of us requested audience with him and accompanied with John Toves? What open-door policy? AAA choses who he wants to entertain and I guess the poor, the weary hearted, and those who need spiritual guidance is not invited. I am really trying to be open to this reaction from AAA and his advisors. I do recall that AAA needs to have an open communication and to build the bridge towards the healing process. How is this possible if AAA does not want to talk and LISTEN to the people of Guam. It saddens me that we have to go through this...I am really hurting and dissappointed with the way all this is handled. AAA -- YOU have to step up and speak to the people. Take the lead and if you are at fault, it will not hurt to admit them and work towards healing. I struggle everyday with this and hold on to my faith and love for our GOD. JUST TALK TO US and make every effort to show that you genuinely care for us!

Why add more wood to the fire? If you cannot lead us any longer...step down. It is the humble thing to do for the people of Guam. The people are hurting and we just want to heal and move forward. What you did to Father Paul and Msgr. James was not what Jesus would do. Jesus went to the poor, the lonely, and reaching out for those who want to come back to the Church. Why did you do that? These two individuals are local priests who care about the people of Guam (Neo or not) and especially the YOUTH. We need to have that compassion back and accept all, no matter what they did in the past. Jesus forgave, why can't YOU? Please let us start the healing process.

AAA you need to show that you care. When you talk or give your homily...look at us and not your sheet of paper. We are deeply asking you to please think about all this and just TALK!

    So tired.....

  18. It is very apparent the agenda of those providing counsel to the archbishop that they are not at all concerned about the entire Church or the faithful on the island of Guam. The continue to hide his presence and or keep him silent, or perhaps the Archbishop apparently has decided to tune everyone out and entertain only members of the NCW and their families, and those he employs. All the suspecions that the Faithful are having based on what we have read and been seeing in the media continue to be fueled by his silence, perhaps he is thinking that it will all go away like a bad dream.

Archbishop, by your silence, the divide in the church continue to grow, the faithful are loosing confidence in your ability as a shepherd, the agenda of your counselors appeared to be geared to self serving interests and determentrial to any bridge building efforts with the rest of the non NCW members of the Church.

Archbishop, you are tasked by God to take care and feed all his sheep, and lambs. If you have forgotten this, it means all members of the Church, NCW & Non NCW. For many years now we have observed that you have been partial to the NCW. What about the rest of the flock??? All this disunity in the church is due primarily because someone decided to align with a group and force others to follow. For those who elect not to join, you are outside the fold. How can we say that the NCW is a gift of grace if the apparent fruits of this movement is division in the body of Christ? or are we misguided because we chose not to be forced to join?

  19. By the refusal of Archbishop to meet with John Toves is a sure sign Archbishop Apuron may well be concealing the truth.

    1. The Body Guard is Mark Mesgon who was fired from the Pigo Cemetary when he threaten to harm the Director because his check was an hour late! His mother & father are like Axsst Rector Coreen Leon Guerrero, they are the kissing butts to AA! Wow, why a body guard? I was watching the procession Msgr David is like the FBI, he wasn't looking forward he's looks like he is also one of the body guard! Why be afraid if it's not true!

    2. All very suspicious . Strange Bishop Apuron would associate with a former staff member of a cometary inviting him to be a body guard. Something is really screwed up here. Bishop Apuron could be paying them through the NCW.

If he would be a man and face his people he wouldn't have to have a body guard. Let's not have any tragic violence. God help us all. Archbishop, take full responsibility, now.

He's also the brother of yet another accused molester at Dept. Of Youth Affair; who was also fired for embezzlement from a bank and was chased away from a couple of churches for stealing money!

Dude, or SON, as you like to call your boboys, guard your family first; before you go off protecting the Predator, apuron! What in the world! !!!!!!!! What a joke!

  22. 11:30 mass goers of the CB were treated to the presence of Chancellor Adrian today. Adrian and Jucutan could be seen chatting and snickering throughout the mass like little girls girls sharing gossip!!! Was such a disgusting sight. Instead of Jucutan walking around like the boss nowadays, he should be practicing his homilies...
