A BISHOP WHO CONSTANTLY LIES TO US

My response to today's story in the Pacific Daily News:

Archdiocese: Apuron in full control of Accion property

If Apuron is "in full control of Accion property" then why would the archdiocesan legal counsel, Atty. Ed Terlaje opine as follows:
As you well know, “alienation” and “assignment” are words of distinction without a difference. Any documents containing these words would place a huge cloud on title to real property which would result in a protracted litigation and prohibitive cost to remove such cloud. Do you really want to risk title to the property conservatively valued at 75 million dollars? - email from Atty. Edward Terlaje to Richard Untalan and the finance councill, 11/27/2011 https://www.scribd.com/doc/252072351/Terlaje-Email

Notice the date, 11/27/2011. Notice the date the Deed Restriction was recorded: 11/22/11. Atty. Terlaje and the finance council are not only unaware that Apuron has already recorded the Deed Restriction, he obviously proceeded against the advice of his legal counsel and without the approval of the finance council which is required by church law, and when involving transactions of property valued over one million dollars, also require approval from the Vatican.

Now let's move on to:
PDN: And while the "deed of restriction" document Apuron signed in 2011 allows the Redemptoris Mater Seminary "perpetual use of the property," the archdiocese stated, in part, that "the archbishop can designate it for other use in the future."
If this was the case, then Atty. Terlaje would have no cause to opine as he did. The reason is because of the powers given to the Board of Guarantors in Article IX of the RMS Articles of Incorporation:
The Board of Guarantors has a veto or approval power for the most important affairs of the Corporation.
Apuron is only one of the 4 members of the Board of Guarantors.

...which brings us to this:

PDN: The archdiocese's statement to the media contends that the seminary's directors and guarantors "are appointed exclusively by ... the archbishop, and he can change them whenever there is need."

This conflicts with Article VII.2. of the By Laws of the Redemptoris Mater Seminary:
2. The members will be the same as the Pastoral Council as foreseen in the canonical statutes of the Seminary, presided furthermore by the Archbishop. In particular, the Neocatechumenal responsible Team for the United States is part of this Board.
Apuron CANNOT appoint whoever he wishes and whenever there is a "need" (which is not defined). The members of the Board of Guarantors (who have complete approval and veto power and thus full control) MUST ALWAYS include "the Neocatechumenal responsible Team for the United States."

That "Neocatechumenal responsible Team" is composed of Giuseppe and Claudia Gennarini, a married couple residing in New Jersey, and Fr. Angelo Poschetti of New York. In addition to Apuron, who is also in the Neocatechumenal Way, these three make up the balance of the Board of Guarantors.

The most number of members which can be appointed to the Board is seven. Thus, all Apuron can do is add three more members who could tip the balance in a vote, but we all know that Apuron is completely controlled by the Gennarini's. This is because, Apuron is IN the Neocatechumenal Way and must be subservient to his Catechist. Giuseppe Gennarini is the "Catechist" for the United States.  In fact even appointing additional members could be seen as "an important affair of the Corporation" and thus vetoed by the current members.

Next:
PDN: A donation to the archdiocese allowed it to snap up the former hotel more than a decade ago for $2 million. The property cost $57 million to develop, but a business sold it after it failed as a hotel operation.
Not true. The property had ALREADY been purchased with a loan from the Bank of Guam, a loan which the the members of the finance council who were fired by Apuron, helped to procure. The donation came later and the loan was paid off. But the archdiocese wants to perpetuate this myth of money falling from the sky so that the Neocatechumenal Way can appear to be miraculous.

And lastly:
PDN: According to the archdiocese's statement yesterday, the donation to purchase the former hotel was through the efforts of the Neocatechumenal Way -- "not the other way around."
The Archbishop is counting on the "silence" of Mother Dawn, the Mother Superior of our local Carmelite order. The Carmelites are a contemplative order and speech is restricted. Too bad. Because if the PDN interviewed Mother Dawn they would be able to reveal Apuron's lie.

Mother Dawn is the one who procured the donation through a sister Carmelite monastery in St. Louis, MO. She would tell you, if she could, that the donation was procured from a lay person who was a benefactor to the Carmelites and a person who had never heard of the Neocatechumenal Way. At the time, Mother Dawn was under the impression (like we all were) that this was to be a seminary for the Archdiocese of Agana, not a seminary for the Neocatechumenal Way.

The actual note attached to the donation reads: "for the purchase of a defunct hotel for the purpose of a seminary." * It does not say Redemptoris Mater Seminary or anything about the Neocatechumenal Way. And it does not bind the archdiocese to use it as a seminary in perpetuity. (Note: the name Redemptoris Mater Seminary is not just a name. It is the name used for all NCW seminaries around the world. It is synonymous with the NCW.)

(* I was only permitted - and not by Mother Dawn - to view this note, not to procure a copy of it. However, it could be verified if Mother Dawn was permitted to speak about it.)

Sadly, the seminary is NOT a seminary for the Archdiocese of Agana because it is NOT a diocesan seminary. It is only located in this diocese. It is a seminary solely for forming priests in the Neocatechumenal Way and for the Neocatechumenal Way. This is explicitly stated in Article III of the Articles of Incorporation and Article III of its By Laws:
“The purpose of the Corporation shall be limited to the following: to establish and conduct a Seminary to prepare men for the priesthood for the evangelization, following the life and itinerary of the Neocatechumenal Way…”
The graduates (?) of the RMS might be placed into local parishes, but that does not mean that they are "parish" priests. The term "parish priest" implies a specifically diocesan formation. The NCW is not only NOT diocesan, it actually holds and teaches that the diocese-parish model of Catholicism is dead. The only reason why they are placed in parishes is because Apuron needs to continue the ruse that this seminary is "for the Archdiocese of Agana" in order to keep up the money flow which is nearly one million dollars per year.

(Recently Apuron at a parish function stated that there are currently 44 seminarians at RMS and it costs an average of $17,000 per year per seminarian. Only a few of these are for other dioceses which might be helping with their tuition.)

Ultimately, most of us don't care about who owns or controls this property no matter what it is valued at. In fact, most of us don't care about the Neocatechumenal Way or its agenda. What we do care about is a bishop who constantly lies to us.

  1. Good morning Guam!
What à better way to start this week end that with another magistral demonstration through the PDN of our Archbishop's application of Pius the Samnut's own PlayBook of: deny, deny and deflect, deflect which we have unfortunately become so familiar with.
The least we can say is that they are consistent and predictable.
Let's pray this morning that the Holy Spirit will continue to bless our apostolic visitators with the gift of discernment and grant them the courage and patience necessary to fulfill their mission unhindered by the wickedness of the devil.

    1. Buenas Di as Frenchie! Yes, they are consistent and predictable. They consistently lie and we can expect more lies from them. Lies, betrayal, and deceit are their trademarks in their quest for power, status, and wealth. There is a saying in Chamorro, "Ta titik I lepblon niha". Translated, "We tore their book (playbook)".
Joining you, and the rest of our brothers and sisters in Christ, in prayers.

      Good Morning, Frenchie!

Thank you for your words of encouragement. By the Grace of God, there are three (3) prayer events scheduled for today, 9 January, as the Apostolic Visitators conclude their series of private meetings. I trust that the Holy Spirit has been with the Visitators and pray that they respond to His guidance.

"The Dianas" and other Kikos/Kikobots are in a frenzy to bolster the Lies that continue to spew forth from AAA's Main Minion since AAA has maintained his silence. In the meantime, we patiently wait for either AAA's Defamation Lawsuit — 41 days and counting — or the proof of the permission to consume their "Eucharist" while seated as promised to Tommy Tanaka 24 days ago. I'm not holding my breath waiting on either one especially since "The Dianas" claim that the latter was given verbally in a private audience between their "prophet" Kiko and Pope Benedict XVI in July 2008 (or May 2007, depending on which version is used). According to "The Dianas": "Since when did Catholics become like Protestants who only trust the written letter and not the verbal instructions of their Church leaders." LOL!

Thank you again for our continued support and words of inspiration! God bless you.

  3. Although the most important concern may be having a bishop who constantly lies, the Catholics of Guam should not be responsible for supporting so many seminarians. I do not know the financials of the Archdiocese, but the maintenance of the seminary and its seminarians cannot be cheap. If the Archdiocese can afford this, they should not be receiving money from the Catholic Extension Society. Also paying for items such as roofs and air conditioning should not be a problem.

Also Guam deserves to have more than just NCW priests and that will be the outcome with time. What if one does not want to belong to the NCW? Are they going to have to leave the Island?

Not that it is going to happen, but I wonder what would happen if the Vatican requested the NCW Responsible Team (Board of Guarantors) to resign, would they? Would they allow it to become a regular diocesan seminary with a small RM seminary component?

One also has to wonder what a person who is considered to be a benefactor of the Carmelites, feels about now instead being a benefactor of the NCW. Also can an Archbishop just terminate his financial council without just cause? Priests receive little to no training in business and running an archdiocese is a business. You would think you would want experienced lay people running the business manners of the church.

Just so many problems and issues.

  4. You are right...7:27 AM, Diana can never be wrong. She is imperial highness and endowed with infallibility in matters not just on faith and morals. Of course, that presumes she is in a parallel universe where the basic everyday staple is kool aid and pizza, where Kiko is emperor and apuron the grand vizier. Oooohhhh...this will make such an awesome game on video! I would have such fun killing off kikobots and disputing their lies and betrayals. There will be bonus points for piusbots, adrinbots and davidbots. Ooooohhhhhh, fun, fun!

  8. With the visit of the Delegation we do not know what lies before us. There may be unity or not. There may be forgiveness or not. There may be a change or not.

The most important word here is TRUST. The Archbishop held the mirror and it shattered. We may be able to glue the mirror back together, but the cracks will always be there. We are the mirror that has been shattered. The cracks represent the word TRUST. For many. Archbishop APURON will no longer be trusted.

    1. Dear anon @ 10.17.
This is the likely scenario after the visitators go back to Rome.
They apparently have worked very hard and diligently.
They have not kept to the scenario scripted by Pius and consort.
They talked to the people and priests they wanted to talk to.
They have been very precise and thorough in their questions.
They have been given a lot of pertinent information.
Once in Rome they will file their report to the three congregations involved. The secretary of state will advise the Pope of their findings and analysis.
Time line? Coinciding with the return of the Pope from his trip.
After that depending on the Pope assessment a course will be chosen.
A big stone in the puddle will be the property at Yona. That can be dealt separately or simultaneously.
Overall Tony is in a very hot seat.
He is going to get so much pressure from Genarini and Pius to push their agenda that it could be a few very ugly weeks before lent.
Rome could decide to name a coadjucatur rapidly or remove Tony quite fast and name a temporary administrator like in Tahiti.
      Several options.
In the meantime, better batter down the hatches, it's gonna be a stormy crossing.

  9. At 4.30pm today in a spirt of prayer for peace and unity, truth and justice, I will join in spirit, the people of Guam for a period of prayer as we all seek the much needed gift of peace in our church. I would liked to have been present at the prayer gathering today but as you know this is not possible. Let us now give all our pain and suffering to the Lord offering it for Our beloved Church, Our beloved Pope, for the Apostolic Visitors. Above all let us pray for all priests who have suffered as a result of the events on Guam .

  10. If our Bishop is dishonest with the material things of this world, lies to accomplish his goals. How can he be honest with those things of heaven which are the most importan things to most of us. Land, Money, Power are finite things and temporary states in this life that we cannot take with us when we pass on, however matters of the spirit are for all eternity, and our Shepherd who was charged by our lord to take care of the sheep and feed them has failed to set the example, his actions can be seen as abandoning the sheep, leading them astray, selfserving and selfish. It is very difficult to understand also how many other leaders who know of his actions and allowed them to continue, or perhaps counseled him on. Are they just as guilty of the same deceit, and misdeeds. The cry from the Church is indicative of something severely wrong, the leadership continue to deny and tell us that our concerns are misdirected and motivated by certain reasons. It seems that those hiding the truth have more to gain from keeping the truth from being exposed for all to see.. We call it silence...

It was a little the joke many GIs in the 60s and 70s played on their buddies while on R&R in Thailand and or the Philippines.....
Not that I would condone any such things, but the level of naivete shown by the Kikos is such, that it is very similar, and the waking up might be nightmarish.....as well.

Interesting cast of character: the Arch as Faust (who sold his soul), Pinocchio his side kick, Shaggy (the tall unkept eternal teenager), The Samnut (behind the scene enforcer a la Luca Brasi) and of course the lil woman with big hands . Lets not forget of course the Juicer and his harem, and the ever elusive stalker from the yucatan peninsula.....ahah!!

I smell a great mini series. May be we should ask John Toves to write a script.

  12. After Adrian and all his blatant lies about this seminary, let the Neos take care of that seminary! Stop asking the Catholic faithful of this island to foot your bill! If the Neos can donate it and run it the way they want, they should be able to pay for it too. Good luck on the Annual Appeal! Are you going to try and force the people to give again?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Appeal time again and yes the parishes have "goals" to meet. In addition, we have to sign up for a weekend for the seminarians to "witness" at our masses. I guess this talk is in lieu of a video. Oy vey!

I agree with Anon Jan 9th at 4:16, if the seminary didn't come from the people of Guam and was brought about through the neo, then we don't need to support it. Besides they tell us our pennies just supplies 1% of its operational cost.

Stop giving in collections and divert your funds directly to cover church bills. I myself buy host for my church. Find out how you can help your pastor with the bills.
