  1. I am aware of several of the lay persons who are Neo who are not labeled as such. I labeled only the ones who are well known due to their positions within the NCW or because of they are outspoken.

  2. There are people on this list who are not Neo but were asked to speak positively about the AAA and the Neo movement. I heard they were given appointments before it was even published in the Umatuna.

  4. This is so sad. Mainly because the chancery thinks we are fools, and perhaps hold the same sentiment for our distinguished visitors.

    Just this list alone raises huge red flags.

    1. Neo or not Neo, I know Mariles Benavente to be a person of integrity.

      I suppose it is important to know who have been confirmed (and thus the "labeling") to meet with Archbishop Martin Krebs; to take heed if there was a fair process for ensuring equal time and representation from among the members of the Catholic churches on Guam who wish an audience with him.

      We are ONE community and the current turmoil and heartache and feelings of betrayal we are experiencing is because of Archbishop Anthony Apuron. I believe he is a failure as a spiritual leader and has brought disgrace to the Archdiocese. I pray that he be removed/replaced.

      But then again, what do I know . . . I'm neither a Neo nor a consistent parishioner with any one Catholic church/community. Nevertheless, I do believe that the harm that Archbishop Apuron has inflicted on persons of integrity and true spiritual, Catholic leadership like Monsignor James Benavente, is SINFUL.

      God Bless Our People and Our Church Leaders and Parishioners,

      Bobbie SN Benavente

    Not only do I think this is so sad, but it's quite apparent that this schedule is an attempt to keep the "regular Catholics" away from the delegation.

    Can we request the delegates to have one evening to provide an open forum so that those of us who are non-Neo can speak to them? There are so many issues regarding the NCW and the Archbishop that need to be brought forth. Although my brother and his wife are part of the NCW, I have been vocal about my reservations about the WAY and the MANY injustices of the archbishop. I, too, would like the opportunity to speak with members of the delegation.

    Delegates, this is a plea to you to provide some time for the rest of us who have been crying out for YEARS for some kind of help.

    With hope in my heart,

    Becky Terlaje Toves

  14. This is obviously a NEO represented meeting. This schedule is outright orchestrated and biased to NEOs. If the NCW has been identified as the catalyst for the Takeover of the chancery and division in our Church, why is it that NCW presbyters who do not even care for the Parish, do not represent the majority of the faithful in the parishes, Neo individuals who are not even from Guam who represent a small precentage of the faithful, appear to have slots and are well represented, while guam faithful who are greatly affected by the effects of this NCW movement, and are the majority of the populace are alloted few slots? How is there a balanced representation of views? God Help Us all!

    A few observations regarding The Schedule:

    • These "15 minute" appointments should have had "transition time" built in — Appointment #1, 0900-0915; Appointment #2, 0916-0931, etc. — to ensure that each individual would have his/her 15 Minutes with the Visitors and not be shortchanged;
    • One would think that, out of consideration for his position as President of the Association of Diocesan Clergy of the Archdiocese of Agana, Fr. Mike Crisostomo should have been able to meet with the Apostolic Visitors, out of "Professional Courtesy," if for no other reason;
    • If the Apostolic Visitors requested an appointment with Msgr. James Benavente who has was unjustly removed from his position, one would think that Fr. Paul Gofigan would also deserve an appointment;
    • It appears that members of the NCW were given preferential treatment, with a few Non-NCW appointments included to avoid criticism; and finally
    • Diocesan and Religious Priests — you should CARPOOL if you plan to attend the Monday, 5 January meeting at St. Anthony Spiritual Center (see my question below).

    Now a few questions:
    • Were the Private Meetings really scheduled on a ”First Come, First Served” basis?
    • Why is the meeting with the Diocesan and Religious Priests scheduled at the St. Anthony Spiritual Center at a time (2:30-3:30) when hundreds of parents and school children will be clogging the parking lot at the end of the school day?
    • Will this meeting also include the NCW “presbyters” who will surely do their best to monopolize the conversation as they did in July with Archbishop Krebs?
    • Why is only ONE HOUR being given to meet with all the Diocesan and Religious Priests when both Deacon Kim and AAA (naturally) are being allotted one hour for their private meetings?
    • According to The Schedule, on Thursday, 8 January 4-5PM, the Former Archdiocesan Finance Council has an appointment — is that the group that was fired en masse (with the notable exception of the Vicar General) after the members opposed AAA's plan to give away RMS?
    • Why are the NCW Non-residents of Guam — Sammut and Cottman — given preference over the Non-NCW LOCAL clergy in the scheduling of these meetings?
    • There are a number of individuals who attend the 11:30 Convent Masses with the Carmelites on a fairly regular basis; will people still be able to attend the Masses while the Visitors are also in attendance? Or will admittance to Mass be restricted to NCWs?

    I continue to hope and pray that this Apostolic Visitation is being made with the sincere intention of beginning the healing process for the Archdiocese of Agana. However, after seeing this Schedule, my hope has dimmed.

    Mary, Queen of the Clergy, pray for our priests — especially for our Beleaguered Non-NCW Priests!

    1. Regulars who attend Carmelite and anyone can go there. Small, but no one is turned away. The visitors will all be there. That's a temptation. Feel sorry for the sisters, though. Regulars and Neos come to Mass there I don't think they are partial.

  20. Positive energy up friends! God wants us to trust that he sees all. Let's continue to pray.

    Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

    Psalm 33:13 The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.

    Perhaps the neo members are being psychologically tested in their meetings. Jokes aside, to me the schedule has investigation all over it. We have to believe that our papal visitors can see right through people trying to hoodwink them. God sent them to us from Rome and we have to believe they only want what is best, just, and holy for our church. God always makes good from bad. There may be few that have miniscule minutes with our visitors, but there ARE heavy hitters on the list, too. Monsignor James Benavente and Greg Perez will be given an opportunity to speak for our church. I'm praying they'll knock this out of the park. Reminds me of the story of David and Goliath in the bible.

    My prayerful mama likes to say, "God is good all the time, all the time God is good".

    1. AMEN! This is how I look at it as well. With all those Neo's on schedule, the visitors from the Vatican should be able to see some of those trademark NCW behavioral patterns. Let us all pray through Jesus and the intercession of the Holy Mother and all the holy saints that the visitors will see with clarity.

      Anonymous (January 5, 2015 at 1:59 PM), your "concern" that "timmy followers will stalk the visitors" only demonstrates YOUR tendency to stalk others. And, as it turns out, AAA has his people keeping the Apostolic Visitors under very close scrutiny.

He told the cogregation that king Herod ordered his soldiers to go house to house and kill all male children three years of age and younger. He then said that as part of the new evangelization we can expect people going door to door. What the....?? I don't see the connection other than the door to door part. Later on he said Jesus will become our bread. Whoa, I have always believed that at mass the bread becomes the body of Christ during consecration and we are receiving Christ when we go to communion.   28. To our brothers and sisters who have scheduled meetings, I send you this message;

    Ephesians 6:10-18 "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For OUR struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

    And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."

    We should all remember this in the days to come, becasue He has not forsaken us!

    Luke 8:17 "For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open."

    Let's pray for those who have scheduled meetings that the Holy Spirit will give them the Wisdom needed to encourage those who are listening to hear and heal our church.

    Lord, have mercy on us!
