ZOLTAN IS RIGHT...AND SO ARE WE

This was copied and sent to me. It appears to be Zoltan's comment on Sue's blog (aka Diana).
Zoltan December 29, 2014 at 2:18 PM
Let's have a look at the objectives of Concerned Catholics about the Neocatechumenal Way:
"Review the practices of the NeoCatechumenal Way to determine if they are in compliance with their statutes and the precepts of the Roman Catholic Church."
This single objective reveals ill will rather than good will at the bottom of the intention of Concerned Catholics. This group has never been assigned or trusted with the task of determination that solely belongs to official Church bodies. Therefore this objective of Concerned Catholics is an obvious attempt to usurp the authority of the Catholic Church.
Also, this objective is an interference with the faith life of members of the Neocatechumenal Way and thus is considered unfriendly. If Concerned Catholics truly want to have a dialogue with the Way, then they'd do better to distance themselves from the savage attitude of the JungleWatch blog and refrain from interfering with the Way's faith life.
Zoltan is right. Neither the CCOG or any other organization or person is officially authorized by the Church to police the Neocatechumenal Way. And had the neocats stayed in their communities and out of our Masses and our children's catechetical instruction, they might still be very well left alone.

But this is not the case. By inserting themselves into the parish Mass, as they did this last Sunday in several parishes, they have:
  • publicly violated the liturgical norms that were put in place to protect worshipping congregations from the whims of pastors;
  • violated our rights to worship as required and prescribed by the Church;
  • violated our sensibilities and our consciences with personal histories most of which should be confined to the confessional;
  • violated our families by exposing our children to their personal PG-13, if not R-rated garbage; and most egregiously,
  • violated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass - the source and summit of our faith.
Also, in many parishes, they have inserted their skewed theology and liturgical practices into our children's catechetical instruction, violating our rights as parents and the trust we normally accord our parishes in providing for their instruction.

In doing the above and in the absence of a bishop who is the normal guardian of the liturgy and the catechetical instruction in a diocese, both the bishop and the neocats (which are one and the same in this case) have LICENSED the rest of us, in the name of our rights as Catholics and especially our rights as parents, to scrutinize the Neocatehumenal Way at will, and so we are.

Whereas once we looked the other way when they routinely violated their own Statute relative to liturgical norms, we now must publicly condemn and criticize their beliefs and practices because they consistently desecrate our sacred celebrations and bastardize the instruction of our children in their efforts to recruit and instruct us in their errant ways.

AND they do this with the approval of a bishop who personally violates and bastardizes us in all the same ways.

Thus the CCOG and the rest of us stand publicly against this bishop and the leadership of Neocatechumenal Way since they shows no respect for our sacred rites, our families, or the legitimate authority of the Church.

I made all of the above DOCUMENTABLE and PERFECTLY CLEAR to the Roman delegation when they questioned the reason for my criticism of this bishop and the Neocatechumenal Way. I will repeat my answer to them here:
"I am the father of eleven children and I am trying to get their souls into heaven. And I am having to fight against my own bishop to do it."
They understood.

    I am sure your arms are tired of pounding this same topic over and over and over, but...

    Vatican City, Jan 21, 2012 / 05:15 pm (CNA).- The Vatican’s approval of the Neocatechumenal Way’s forms of “celebration” only applies to non-liturgical prayers within their catechesis and not to the Mass or other liturgies of the Church.

    “With respect to the celebrations of the Holy Mass and the other liturgies of the Church,” communities of the Neocatechumenal Way must “follow the norms of the Church as indicated in the liturgical books – to do otherwise must be understood to be a liturgical abuse,” a Vatican official who requested anonymity told CNA on Jan. 21.

    “Essentially, the Pontifical Council is only approving these things that are found in the Catechetical Directory of the Neocatechumenal Way, and in no way touches those things contained in the liturgical books.”

    Since its foundation, however, the group has been cautioned by the Vatican for inserting various novel practices into Masses organized by the movement. These include lay preaching, standing during Eucharistic Prayer, the reception of Holy Communion while sitting down, as well as the passing of the Most Precious Blood from person to person.

    “The Neocatechumenal Way has no such permission for any of these kinds of things,” said the Vatican official. He claimed that the Vatican still receives complaints about the group’s “non-compliance with the universal norms of liturgy.”

    this is only part of the whole story

    1. If what continues to occur and what has occurred on Guam with the NCW infiltration into our Church and lives are not a clarion call for the Vatican to take action, what will it take? You are correct Tim, if they stayed playing in their own sand box and did not try to usurp our sacred rituals and abuse the liturgies as contained in the liturgical books, we could have had peaceful coexistence. (please note: sadly the time for that peaceful coexistence has passed with our Bishop's joining their cult)

  2. After close to 17 years (since 1997) of teaching the Confirmation Classes in my old parish, I was informed that I can not be trusted to teach the youngsters due to what transpired in 1986, but i have a feeling that the real reason is so that the persbyter will get closer to the youngsters and talk to them about sensuality and sexuality, (like oranges)
    and to force them to be members of the neos or no confirmation. jesofchalanpago

  3. Just so you know, some of your children are straying away from their beliefs. At least from what the present.

    1. LOL. My adult children are my adult children and they are free to make their own choices. My job was to educate them about the consequences of those choices. As a P.S. I am not unaware of those choices. And as an additional P.S., it's so typical of you small minded groveling little fools, since you cannot engage my points nor intimidate me with your personal attacks, to now aim at my children. Yet you don't see why an increasing number of people are growing to HATE the neocatechumenal way - because it produces fools like you.

    3. Dear Anonymous January 23, 2015 at 10:13 AM: You are being spiteful, petty, and lacking Christian compassion and, what's more, proving to all what the NCW produces in its members of "Way". Shame on you.

  6. ill will? Consider this Mr. I have a degree zoltan, the bishop is to be the chief catechist of this Diocese. The purpose of the ncw is to catechize the unchurched and bring back nonpracticing catholics, at least that is what your charter says. Now if the bishop feels the need to be catechized, then he has no business being bishop, because, you can't give what you don't have. Additionally, no bishop should be under the purview of any lay or religious organization, which is why when he was ordained bishop he was released from the Capuchin order.
    The "ill will" rather comes from the likes of you, who come into our island and seek to steal from the people.
    I will not, as you and your brethren do, wish you peace because it would not be truth. I will however, bid you good day.

  7. For the record....Zoltan! Every Catholic is called to defend the FAITH! Keep your righteous garbage for your flock.If a man came into your home selling insurance and began to change your furniture around you would ask him to leave and keep his insurance. The NCW has come into our churches disguised as CATHOLICS selling "spiritual poison" and replacing everything Catholic with Kikorelics and you speak of ill will? Stop twisting facts! Dialogue the FACTS! Your putrid smoke filled rhetoric has awakened faithful Catholics everywhere...crawl back whence you came.

  10. The "ill will" that is being imposed here is the NCW infiltration into the Catholic Church in Guam under the guise of free choice presented to the faithful, However it is quite obvious from what has been exposed of the NCW that AAA is clearly forcing this sect upon the faithful by his unwavering effort to propogate its existence despite the many concerns and negative responses from catholic faithful in Guam. The fruits of division that the NCW has caused within the church, the heretical doctrines that it teaches and the disobedience to Church authority by the leaders of this cult is reason the catholic faithful in Guam and other countries continue to oppose this movement.

    CCOG is not usurping the authority of the Church, It is quite the opposite, The NCW by its actions is counter to church authority, and in its disobedience and hidden agenda is clearly not gathering or building up, but rather tearing down and destroying the Catholic church from within. The Catholic faithful in Guam do not desire any dialogs with "The Way", we want it out of Guam..

    If anyone is interfering with our faith life, It is the NCW which persistently interjects itself into our parishes masses and abuses the liturgical rites approved by the church. Rites, that even the Archbishop does not have the authority to change or alter.
