WHAT'S UP, BARRIGADA?

What's up, Barrigada? Fr. "meeeellions and meeellions of dollars" on vacation? What about Harold? Maybe he could give up a little pool time?

LOL!!!
"...there will be no 8:30 am masses the chapel."
"We appreciate you patience..."

BTW. I was always taught to capitalize Mass - as in "Holy Sacrifice of the Mass." But then they don't believe in "sacrifice" either.

  1. I posted a comment on this back in June when the announcement was made a week before his vacation to Italy. Why just now?

    1. Because someone sent me a picture just now.

    2. Kinda sad that they were not able to get one of their own to say the masses. Other diocesan priests take the time to cover for each other ,no matter how tight their schedules are. Some of them cover masses for two other parishes aside from their own pariah masses.

Goes to show that the Sunday masses are not as important as their own Saturday celebration. It puts Diana's foot in her mouth, when she criticizes the local priests of not doing their fair share of their work.

      Truly Sad!

    3. A couple of notes, the picture on the sign looks like Kiko. Something else to think about on what the Neo's believe. Question, do the Neo's believe in purgatory? No. Is AAA a Neo? Yes. Does AAA believe in purgatory? No. So why was it so important for AAA to change the way we have prayed for the dead in our Rosary's? In the Neo mind praying for the dead is a waste of time, since you either go to heaven or you go to hell, no in-between. (A very protestant way of thinking by the way!) Therefore AAA directs us to "pray for us" as opposed to "pray for him / her". He disregards the Catholic teachings of Purgatory and our culture by imposing his will upon us by virtue of his position. Fellow Catholics, I encourage you to begin praying for your dead in the way we have always prayed in the past. Were we doing it wrong for the last sixty years? I don't think so, but a false teaching entered our Church and we need to take it back. Pray for her, pray for him. Tayuyute gue.

Joseph A. Santos at 7:11 AM, it's no surprise that the presbyter on the sign has somewhat of a resemblance to Kiko since he imposes his face just about anywhere he can manage.

Be that as it may, I do like your encouragement for us to revert to praying for our dearly departed as we did in the past with the response "Pray for him/her/them" instead of AAA's preferred "Pray for us". We can still pray for ourselves but the Holy Souls in Purgatory need our prayers because they are unable to pray for themselves.

This may be just one "small" way of regaining what is an AUTHENTICALLY Catholic practice of praying for the Holy Souls as well as putting an end to AAA's imposing his NCW/KAKA infused will on the Faithful. If enough people pick up on your idea, it will create many small holes in AAA's NCW Stonewall which, in turn, can result in a flood of people praying for the Holy Souls in Purgatory instead of themselves.

I was also taught that the word Mass was a proper noun when referring to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The use of the lower case masses by the NCW may be a subconscious admission that their pseudo-liturgical service is NOT a Mass. "The Diana" will certainly defend that as a "human error" but still it's out there for all to see — the NCW services are nothing more than aberrations of the Mass.

  5. When we had one priest, Msgr. Zoilo, we had the 6:00am Masses Monday through Friday, 5:45am Masses on Sunday and the 8:30am Mass at Cañada. And I believe Msgr. Zoilo was a big shot as well at the Chancery. To me, the one we have now as pastor of Barrigada sees his vocation like a job instead of ministry. As a Diocesan priest, your main role is the Parish, but the one we got is power hungry and loves a career in the Catholic Church. If you can't be a Diocesan priest and can't do your ministry effectively, you surely are lazy and you think you know it all...just because your Dad was a Senator...keeping up appearances can really weigh you down. But so the saying goes: I'm not Msgr. Zoilo, I am Adrian the altar boy that is a spoiled brat who doesn't like sweeping the Church on a Saturday morning. Do you see what the NeoCatechumenal Way has done...missionaries my buttocks. More like missionary impossible with Adrian as Pastor!

    1. The late +Monsignor Zoilo Camacho was an inspirational spiritual leader who stood by his convictions. Where many pastors have failed, he brought the people together in building both San Vicente and Santa Barbara Church's you see today. His devotion to both God and his flock was ever reflected in his word and actions. I remember one evening (Spring 1983) while serving as the assistant director / catechist for the confirmation program in Dededo, he reminded Sister Bernadette (Principle of Santa Barbara School) that the school belongs to the parishioners of Dededo and that she could not place restrictions on its use for the Continuing Catholic Development (CCD) program. A true spiritual leader who truly cared for his flock.

  6. with all the vocations they've been bragging about, they can't even find someone to fill in? the "we appreciate you patience" line implies that there's a demand for that Mass. otherwise, it would've been okay to just say there'll be no Mass for a month.

  7. Sign was probably written by an ESL presbyter and proofread by Adrian. Sad, very sad.

  8. With all these odd bod presbyters floating around island with nothing to do and you can't supply a priest for a single Mass Major problem.

  9. No substitute for weekday Holy Sacrifices of the Mass yet, his vacation is over a month (30 days plus an additional 4 days) long?!!

Yes it's telling isn't it, that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is not a major focus of the ncw; heck, it's not even a focus let alone a major importance! I'm curious, is that Barrigada neo community's "community meal" on hold for the same duration, as well???

    1. The Neos want the faithful Catholics to think they are all about saving souls, BUT their actions reveal that they are really all about following what Kiko wants them to do instead of obeying the Pope.

  10. What happened to all the "fruit" that the RMS produces? NCWers claim that the RMS seminary needed to be built b/c of the dire need for priests on Guam.

  12. Does the San Ramon Chapel belong to the Archdiocese? I remember the tiny structure when it was first built for the people of Canada Barrigada, a tight-knit group of families. How did they turn it into a NEO place of worship? What about the faithful community that used to call it home? Were they just pushed out by Adrian and his cult? Why didn't they protest or revolt? Maybe I didn't catch it but I don't remember how this happened. I know a family from there who said they had to move to Mangilao parish because their beloved Chapel was taken over. Is that the same way they took over the Santa Bernadita Chapel? I don't see much protest there, either. We make it so easy for them. SMH!!

  13. No respect for private chapels. Best way is to build private chapels and privately bring in priests to celebrate the Holy Mass. One chapel now brings in priests for two weeks vacation they say daily mass given car stipend enjoy. And chapel functions . Practice faith without neo without Apuron very easy.

    1. Not possible. Priest cannot say Mass publicly without permission if bishop.
