I only now came across the letter to the editor at the Marianas Variety. I left the following comment:
A few facts. First Mr. Toves has alleged that Apuron molested his "relative" when he was a minor back in the 80's, when both Mr. Toves and his "relative" were seminarians at the minor seminary at FD. The alleged victim was not "his nephew".
The issue is not whether Apuron should trust God, but whether Apuron is innocent of the allegations. If he is, then that is all he needs to say. There would be no need to hire a lawyer to threaten Toves with defamation. But Apuron has not claimed innocence.
The lost WWJD moment - if Apuron is in fact innocent - would have been for Apuron to reach out and reconcile with his accuser. If John Paul II could forgive and personally reconcile with the man who tried to murder him, why couldn't Apuron have shown us all how to be a true priest of God and reach out to his accuser in like manner?
But then that's why John Paul II is now a saint, and Apuron....well we don't even know if he's innocent...because he won't tell us.
That Toves is a bit of a nutcase. $0.50 short of a dollar.

ReplyDeleteJohn Toves is probably less of a nutcase, than you or any of your fake catholic, turned idol worshiper of that heretical and evil sect.
I have heard about this molestation since way back in the 80s. I have seen his cousin Peter change from a happy, generous person, to an introvert who shies away from anybody he thinks knows about his abuse.
Peter chose not to come forward. It has been an open wound in the Toves family for decades.
The fact that John saw his friends from the seminary being savaged by the Archbishop who molested his cousin, was probably the proverbial drop that made the glass overflow.
Apuron has been hiding behind the silence of the victims. He has allowed himself to become the hostage of Pius and Gennarini, because they have leverage over him.
Who is the nutcase? I think John Toves has shown control and reserve, but he is no longer willing to keep quiet, keep silent. He has understood that silence only facilitated the evil to grow and run amok on this island.
If somebody needs to come to his/her senses, it should be you for supporting and abeting such evil amongst us.
By shoring up Pius, Apuron, Gennarini, Cristobal and the people that manipulate this, you are insulting the victims. You are facilitating evil to grow. One day you shall answer for this.
If you think that insulting the messenger is going to earn you a place in heaven, I have news for you!!!
By the way: Happy Birthday John Toves. Sorry I missed it.
