Catholics hold another protest against Apuron
On Sunday, more than 70 members of the Catholic Church gathered outside the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica in a “silent protest” against Archbishop Anthony Apuron.
According to organizer Lourdes Klitzkie, the group is called the Laity Forward Movement Group.
“The Laity Forward Movement group, all Catholic laity, protested because they are disappointed with the lack of leadership of Archbishop Anthony Apuron,” Klitzkie said. “The Catholic laity are also upset with the firing of (Rev.) Paul Gofigan and Monsignor James Benavente, the giving away of church property, Redemptoris Mater Seminary, and the invasion of Neocatechumenal presbyters in our parishes.”
