I'm making it a point to attend the public hearing and give supporting testimony. It's been over a month since Hon arrived and I still have yet to see the Church reaching out to the victims. Gerry makes my job easy! Thank you, Gerry, for your post at 9:59AM. You indeed hit the nail right on the head. We can all help Gerry, ourselves and our Church by showing up at the hearing.

We can all do a lot of good on Thursday at 10 AM just by being there. Per Gerry:

ReplyDeleteI suggest that the Blog Administrator change the date of this MORE ON THE PUBLIC HEARING ON BILL 326-33 post from the actual July 21 date and post-date it to July 28, 2016 to keep it at the top of the list and in the viewers' eyes. That might generate questions about Bill 326-33 that Bob Klitzkie can address.
ReplyDeleteFor example: If a person already provided written and/or oral testimony at the first public hearing for the original Bill 326-33, how can one prepare a "new and improved" testimony for the 28 July public hearing of the substitute bill?
Mary Lou, the only rule for submitting testimony is that there are no rules. To be effective your testimony should be probative, accurate, relevant and sincere. Repetition is OK as it tends to drive home the points you make.
DeleteFor this hearing a couple things come to mind. on July 22 Webster posted article about St. Paul MN. that can be used as resource. Also, one could draw attention to the lack of action on AB Hon's part since the first hearing.
Having observed your clear and convincing comments on the blog over the years I look forward to your testimony on Thursday.
