WHY IS HON SO SCARED?

Posted by Tim
There is a huge chance that the history of the Catholic Church on Guam will be rewritten … by Catholics. And it’s pretty awesome.

  3. Definitely. I will admit that I was long and opponent of SNAP. I always felt like this was some sort of attack against the Church and as a Catholic I defend the church. But it's only when it happens in your backyard that you see this has nothing to do with the church; it has everything to do with men who hide behind their collar and use it as a shield to not only protect them but to enable them to molest and rape This is what put Benedict called "the filth of the church." Anyone who harbors them is even worse than them. A bad man commits bad deeds. An evil man encourages others to do so, either by commission or omission. It's a simple as that

    4. I don't usually run into this problem that often. With a little egg wash, it's a cinch. I have a lot of problems keeping my noodles from drying out. I have tried spreading the sauce over the top before baking, but it hasn't worked out the way I wanted it to.

    5. Love. Love will keep them together.

  5. Apply a tablespoon of Kiko. Its properties of intimidation, bribery, and groupthink should keep the noodles to bind together even when nature and grace both command otherwise.

    1. I am thinking more of just a "Pinch of Kiko"! You know it does not take much for Kiko Noodles to stick together!

    2. A bit of humor is a welcome relief.

On a side note, the Food Network recommends adding a bit of pasta water to thicken any sauce. Happy eating!

  6. Message to our Governor:
    Peace be with you.
Today as you consider Bill 326-33 pray for guidance and let your mind and heart be still and at peace.
Consider this: After the Japanese war, 1944, every edifice including churches were destroyed with no place for the Church (the People) to have a decent Mass, but out of the ashes “WE” the People who make up the CHURCH, rose up and rebuilt what we have today. So as you consider this Bill, rest assured that even WAR will not destroy the CHURCH of GOD. Yes there may be “unintended” consequences of material wealth as some would endorse, but more importantly, what about the ETERNAL CONSEQUENCE! What of the VICTIMS-SURVIVORS? WHO WILL HELP THEM REBUILD THE CHURCH?
Jesus: Destroy this temple and in 3 days I will rebuild it….
We the PEOPLE are the CHURCH, not the man-made structures as even some misguided Priests would have us believe.

    Martin

  10. the local clergy are afraid of being exposed.

the roman powers are afraid that the earthquake will reach far beyond the shores of guam, all the way to the banks of the tiber and the vatican hill itself.

thank you, joelle, for your support.

    1. Joelle, people noting errors snap made in accusing upright priests. What's up with that. However, were grateful for Guam help.

    2. SNAP doesn't accuse priests. It makes public those who are credibly accused as part of its mission to assist survivors.

  11. Why is Hon so scared? Because Hon knows the Church is GUILTY! Guilty of transferring sexually abusive priests, once known, out of one diocese to another, etc. This practice is not just an isolated one, but rather widespread throughout the Church worldwide. In fact, it could be said such has been the policy of the Church for decades past.

DOE Jon Fernandez is the subject of a Sex Abuse Investigation. If Mr. Fernandez is found guilty, is GovGuam liable for his actions?
I don't think so, unless it can be proven that GovGuam knew about it, tolerated it and maybe even tried to cover it up as the Church has been doing for years and years. That's why Hon is scared. The money angle is minuscule compared to the damage that exposing of the Church's practice on sexually abusive priests can do.

  14. SNAP will see that the PEOPLE OF GUAM will stand for anything to protect our Kids going forward. We (GUAM) will set example to the whole USA that we mean what we say to protect our KIDS not only within the CHURCH or any Religion. This LAW once pass is not only for Catholic but for every Religion in GUAM. SIGN this BILL into LAW Governor Calvo or you will be listed as protecting the Abusers.
