  1. Sad. And the church will use the people's donations to fund its lawyers. Just plain ol sad.

  2. why would you want to change this law when the Archdiocese did nothing to protect children. Its really ridiculous for Archbishop Byrnes to want change this law.

  3. It's obvious. The bishops are a pack of perverts whose interests are protecting each other and their playgrounds. They have no sympathy for their tortured abuse victims.

    1. Time to drain the pool of bishops. Only the ones who truly have Jesus Christ in their hearts will remain. Sad to think that the main draw for many members of the clergy is their aspiration to be part of the "bishops gone wild" fraternity. Thank God that people are no longer keeping their observations of the clergy to themselves. Gone are the days of blind obedience and being silent.

  4. Probably Byrnes was told to challenge the law by Filoni and the Vatican. If Byrnes doesn't care about the victims then why did he walk in the picket line?

    1. Byrnes did not walk the picket line. He was just in politically correct proximity to it. He did not carry a picket sign and plainly said he was only there to greet the protestors. He did not recognize or endorse their demonstration. He dismissed it as a "rosary".

    2. In his interview with KUAM he said that his decision to walk with the picketers for a few moments was "deliberate." However, I don't take that to mean he is on our side.

  5. The law may be challenged and overturned. Time will tell. But does that change the fact that these sex abuse victims of apuron, et al did not suffer at the hands (pun intended) of apuron, et al?

  6. In general, child protection laws are criminally weak. Most efforts to strengthen them are unsuccessful because powerful closet pedophiles control governments, judiciaries and the Catholic Church.
