Even if Byrnes sold the RMS property for $75 million, it wouldn't cover half of the AD's settlements and legal fees. You can be sure their insurance carriers will refuse to pay for a lot of this catastrophe.
If the Church is found liable for damages, shouldn't the Vatican also help pay? After all, it seems to have been church policy do nothing and/or to transfer guilty priests to cover up these sex abuse crimes.
