It appears sexual abuse of minors is not just a thing that occurs in Catholic institutions.

But then it never was. The question is will parents of those children file lawsuits against the perpetrators and the institutions for whom they worked. It appears from the date of these allegations, both criminal and civil complaints can and should be filed.
