Yep. This looks just like the den of poverty Pope Francis calls us to help in! I'm sure the Archbishop and the Neo-kooks will find lots of poor lost souls here. Of course, they will say the rich need help too. Which is true. We all need the mercy of God. But our Holy Father is pretty clear that we should focus on the poor.

Maybe the NCW group can get one of these rich folks at the Shangri La to pay the Cathedral the $3,000,000 the NCW forgot to pay to the Church themselves, and who knows how much for the other churches on Guam?

It is good to see that Kiko Arguello knows how to buy the love he so desperately seeks from his cultist followers. I guess the same can be said about the Archbishop. He obviously never listened to the lyrics of the Beatle's song "Can't Buy Me Love!"

One word of advice for you kooks in Manila, hotels like the Shangri La probably prefer a quiet string quartet to a band of gypsies banging tambourines and strumming mandolins. Just food for thought as you enjoy your $25 tea and scones this afternoon.

  2. Clearly the Archdiocese still needs our money. Clearly.

  3. If this is really where the kikos are staying, does it not raise a red flag for the rest of you NCW members who are not in Manila, but do give and give and give at your NCW sessions, events and gatherings?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've always heard that as a way of demonstrating, practicing and living humility the neos regard money as evil? The fact that the kikos would even think of choosing this level of hotel says a million things about their disingenuous ways, their hypocrisy, deceptive appearances and phony teachings!

Please open your eyes and come back to authentic Catholicism, ncw members. We have a Merciful and Loving God just waiting for your return with wide open arms!

Perhaps we need to begin a "welcome back" support group/program open to all ncw members who want to come back but are not sure how, or fear taking the first step?

Sounds like a great idea. Do ya think we could get the Archbishop to appoint anyone? Besides his sidekick Fr Adrian that is.

  4. I have stayed in the Shangri La many times and let me tell you, it is not a place of humility and modesty! Gosh, the neocats sure know how to travel.

    1. Only 287.00 usd per night. Maybe they got a group rate.

      Delete
    2. This rate of 287 does not include the hotel tax, country tax etc. so actually the pay close to 325.00 a night!

    3. Distribution of wealth! At a dollar an hour look how many look how many people are employed.

  6. Very nice hotel but in this age of pope Francis renewing the church we need to focus on the poor outside of makati there are shanty towns many poor people eating rice and sardine sauce.

    1. That is sharing the wealth. If no one stayed there folks wouldn't have a job. As Tim says: "DUH".

    2. So 3:58, you are telling us that our Archbishop has "wealth" to share. So who's wealth is he sharing?

  7. Disturbing to say the least.

  8. Famous people stay in this hotel in the Philippines. Location is like the Beverly hills of California. Rich people live around the area .

  11. Towards the end of the passage in the "About the Hotel" tab it states, "You are in a luxurious sanctuary." Maybe that's what they were going for. Perhaps our sanctuaries aren't luxurious enough for their taste.

  12. Maybe they have a big square table with flowers that they can dance around?

  13. Cannot continue to give money to the archdiocese after now seeing facts that support what Tim Rohr has been posting past year.

  14. Share your wealth? Who said we need your wealth for our workers at Shangrila? Your wealth? Or the wealth from the people? Why don't you share your wealth to your Archdiocese to pay their loans? Wake up Catholics in the Archdiocese of Agatna!

    1. True. The Archdiocese of Agana is in debt to the tune of about 20 Million dollars, and most of it owed to the Abortion Queen. Shame on us!

    2. Amount has been increasing for years it was made so easy for him to get the cash it was obvious to us. There was never a need to build debt just bad management.

The Neocatechumenal Way is not a movement but is counted among spiritually dynamic group that is renewing the Catholic Church. Sorry, no time to manage. Busy being spiritually dynamic. REPEAT: The Neocatechumenal Way is not a movement but is counted among spiritually dynamic group that is renewing the Catholic Church. $20,000,000.00 debt? who would ever want to be Bishop after this!

  15. Honestly, how can anyone support arch after all this. Amounts to financial abuse of good people to place their 20usd bill in the collection each week. Many of us cannot travel and live the life archbishop Apuron lives.

  16. Makati is a wealthy city with billionaires in the villages. Makati does not need the money of Guam be assured of that. May be arch looks for money from makati. A thought to reflect upon..

  17. Sounds like time to sell Yona property. Should clear a lot of debt off the books. Going, going, gone!

I've heard realtors conservatively estimate that Yona property at $65-70 million. If we could sell Yona property we would still have $45 million or so after all the debt was paid off. Take the $45 million and earn $3 million a year and then the Archdiocese could actually implement programs to help the people!
We need to do more for the homeless, more for the poor, more for those who want to learn more about our church. Cardinal Tagle had a New Envangelization gathering and it was free. We have a catechectical conference and we have to pay $20-30.
Seems like we should be spending money on the people here on Guam, rather than $1,000,000 per year training 40 men to be priests for some other location. We give to Peter Pence and others to help with the global needs of the Church. Basta!
Let's look at what we can do here for our people.
      Sell the seminary!

    2. How is it we dropped the "topic" of who owns the Yona property? Simple enough question; or is it? Thank you for bringing it up, Janet B.

    3. It's still a question and still a story on this blog. It is also on the list of stories under Permanent Post that I will get to in great detail. However, I have a few more episodes of the Fr. Paul story to finish first. And was "sidetracked" by the Cardinal Tagle thing...but THAT WAS IMPORTANT!

    4. Thank you for reply/comment, Tim. Yes, the other Tagle Topic VERY important. Just shows how some of us roll around here. UNFORTUNATELY.

  18. For the kiko's who think they "got" me on this one because the "group didn't stay there." I purposely did not say they did...and you fell for it...again. Hate makes you easy.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You did fall for it. You said that I said that "the group stayed there". I didn't. In fact I said nothing about the group. I knew they weren't staying there. But this is where Apuron was. Of course, there is the fact that Apuron is just a brother in the Way and not the leader so in that case you would be right, it wouldn't be the "headquarters". It's my fault I still think of him as an Archbishop and not a brother.

I am not posting your comment because you are trying to bring another priest down and allege sexual improprieties. I have tons of those kinds of comments against your own that I have not allowed to be posted.

The fact is that I have revealed your BIG LIE and now you're desperate to discredit me. And "rad trads"? Oh how desperate you are. But it's fun keeping you coming back, making you scratch where it doesn't even itch.

    3. Stay under your rock. I WIN.

  20. In not specifying by replying to some of the commentsthat state that this is where the group stayed, you are in turn implying that they did. And... you DID say in your own comment that "This is where Apuron was." I think you need to get your facts straight before you go about publishing false information. That is all.

    1. How many times do I have to yell you? No one at the Chancery reads or plays in the Jungle. They said so. What, you don't believe them?

    2. Anonymous (June 10, 2014 at 10:40 PM), are you representing "The Chancery"? In case you are, here are my responses to your comment.

      • “How many times do I have to yell (sic) you?”
RESPONSE: I’m guessing you meant to write, “How many times do I have to tell you?” It really doesn’t matter how many times you tell — or even yell — your assertion. You can tell (or yell) until you are blue in the face, it won’t make any difference to me. It is my opinion that the personnel at “The Chancery” do read the contents of this blog — and maybe even post comments anonymously (like you).

      • “No one at the Chancery reads or plays in the Jungle. They said so.”
RESPONSE: And I’m supposed to believe what “The Chancery” says just because “They said so”? That may have worked in the past, but no more — at least not for me.

      • “What, you don’t believe them?”
RESPONSE: You’ve got that right — I don’t believe them! I don’t know if you’re familiar with the saying, “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me,” but that’s why I take everything that comes out of the Chancery with the proverbial “grain of salt.”
First the Archdiocese Statement Regarding Fr. Paul Gofigan stated on 22 July 2013 that “Fr. Dan Bien replaces Fr. Paul Gofigan as the Parochial Administrator” — it would be reasonable to infer that Fr. Paul was removed as Pastor since the Statement indicated that Fr. Dan had replaced Fr. Paul. But wait — the following month, The Chancery informs Fr. Paul that he cannot challenge the removal because “no decree has in fact yet been issued removing you from the office as pastor of Santa Barbara …” Was Fr. Paul removed? In July the appointment of Fr. Dan infers “YES” but in August the Archbishop says “NO.” (Fool me once, shame on them!)
And then there’s the matter of Aaron Quitugua, who requested to attend an off-island seminary. First he’s told that the Archdiocese lacks funds to send him to an off-island seminary. Then when he informs the Chancery that he is willing to undertake the expense without burdening the Archdiocese and all he needs is for the Archdiocese to sponsor his studies, he’s told “NO.” (They tried to fool me twice, but I didn’t buy it!)
Of course, there are many other instances — including the recently revealed attempt to cover up the “missing” January 2006 episode of “Why Do Catholics Do That?” with a LIE — but these examples are just 2 reasons why I DON’T believe them.

I believe the Chancery is keeping close tabs on what is being discussed here on JungleWatch, not because they’re learning from their mistakes — after all, they continue to spin their Web of Deceit (aka LIES) — but because they are know Tim Rohr has proof for what he posts. Tim provides us with knowledge and, as the saying goes, “Knowledge is power.” The Chancery is worried that more people are learning about the misdeeds and the untruths that emanate from there and they are afraid that Thinking Catholics — unlike the Kikos and Kiko-bots — will no longer blindly and silently accept whatever “The Chancery says.”

    3. I think 10:40pm was being facetious.

      Delete
    4. Even if 10:40 PM was being facetious, that seems to be the mindset of quite a number of our almost-separated brethren in the NCW who hang on — and believe! — every word that wannabe pope Kiko utters.

    5. Does the jungle ever sleep Tim. Last week read someone enters the jungle at 3am why so many people entering the jungle there must be reasons.

    6. Hmm..let's see. Could it. E that the Archbishop is up and probably relxi g before his early morning walk? Could it be that some of us work the graveyard shift and read or post during our break? Could it be that some of us are up because we need to get ready for work? Could it be that some of us are just early risers?

      Delete
    7. Or could it be that we are so upset with and hurt by all the wrong doings of our church leaders and the Kikos. These people manipulate the faithful through Lies and deception; the evidence supports this. Then to make matters worse they rub it in our face with their self-righteousness and arrogance.

  24. Honey, insiders play in the jungle because for them also it is the only way to deal with the problem. Those employed by arch have to be silent. Even when they know arch is wrong silence prevails. Entrance to the jungle is in hope someday someone will help us.
