WHICH IS IT, ARCHBISHOP?

Archbishop Apuron is refusing to include the financials of Redemptoris Mater Seminary in a proposed archdiocesan report on the grounds that the Seminary is a corporation separate from the Archdiocese of Agana.

This is curious because in order to justify his demand for the transfer of Title to the multi-million dollar former Accion Hotel property from the Archdiocese of Agana to Redemptoris Mater Seminary, Archbishop Apuron wrote the then-members of the Archdiocesan Finance Council on 16 November 2011:
...the Seminary is canonically a public juridic person (canon 238) subject in toto to the jurisdiction of the Ordinary. Also, from a civil point of view, the Seminary is a Corporation-Sole in which the Sole-member is the Ordinary with absolute powers who remains, in any case, the exclusive holder of the Title to Property.

If this is true, and the Seminary is "subject in toto to the jurisdiction of the Ordinary" (Archbishop Apuron), then by not including the financials of the Seminary in any archdiocesan financial report, the Archbishop is PURPOSELY WITHHOLDING financial information that he has the "absolute powers" to include.

Thus we must ask:

WHY is Archbishop Apuron purposely withholding the Seminary's financial information?

ESPECIALLY, when - as per his own report - 65% of our money, collected through the Annual Appeal, goes to its support.

Which is it, Archbishop? When you wanted the finance council to approve the transfer of Title, the Archdiocese and the Seminary were one and the same. But now that you are asked to make visible the financials, the two are suddenly separate.

Which is it, Archbishop? Which is it? What's with all the funny business? Why the hiding? The bait and switch? The three-card monte? If you are so against gambling then show your hand. Until you do, we'll hold ours.

  4. Possible reply to the Archbishop's flip-flop on the seminary land issue, and the withholding of the seminary's financial status: "Please, guys - stop asking questions; just obey! That's what I'm told to do as a faithful Neo!"
On the more positive note, I prayed ardently at Mass (the Catholic Mass, that is) this morning, that Archbishop Krebs' (the Nuncio's) visit to Guam will bring healing to our island. While we continue to do what we have to do, let's take time out to pray.

  5. Archbishop Apuron is refusing to provide full financial accountability and full disclosure? Really? Are we reliving the days of the Gestapo right here in our own Archdiocese?

This is beyond arrogance on the Archbishop’s part; it is way beyond his inconsiderateness and disregard for the Catholic Faithful of this Archdiocese! As a matter of fact, his blatant abuse of power; his dishonest moves and foolish attempts to continue pulling the wool over us confirms what we’ve all been observing; what Tim has been pointing out and documenting, and what we’ve suspected all along: we have a morally bereft hierarchy in this Archdiocese under Archbishop Apuron, manipulated by the kikos!!

Once again, this is not about the Archbishop's need to comply with civil regulations nor about the Archbishop's need to heed our Pope's advice that Bishops be models of financial responsibility and transparency; but it is about the Archbishop's personal honesty and integrity; it is about Catholic decency and regard for his congregation, who have contributed toward and sustained this Archdiocese..

I don’t know about you all, but I believe there is truth to this old proverb or adage: “What goes around comes around.” Archbishop, do what is right otherwise …

    May God have mercy!

    1. Think about it. ...why should our Archbishop reveal everything financial under these hostile conditions in the Mighty Jungle? I think he's smart enough to realize the maggots, hyenas, alligators, vultures, and lions will tear his carcus to pieces till nothing is left. Tear and pick at every detail of the report. He should assure the jungle dwellers that he didnt give Yona away and calm everbody down.

    2. What hostile conditions? I don't understand. A blog creates hostile conditions? Come on guys. It is only hostile if what the blog is saying is the truth! Calling out someone to be honest, transparent, fair, compassionate, and equitable can only be hostile if the person being called out is dishonest, secretive, unfair, cold, and abusive. Okay. I take it back. These are hostile conditions for the archbishop!!!!

    3. This parlaying by the Archbishop tells us very simply and very loudly that the heart of the Archdioceses' financial ruination is the Redemtoris Mater Seminary. Simple.

  6. A possible answer to Archbishop Apuron’s flip-flop (he refuses to include the financial status of the seminary because he says it is another juridic person (corporation sole), distinct from the archdiocese; but earlier he said the seminary is the same juridic person as the Archdiocese of Agana, and therefore he is not giving away the seminary when he assigned it to the NCW, since both are the same juridic person!) – could be this: “Come on guys! Stop asking questions; just obey!” as I am told to do as a faithful Neo member!

  7. What's new? It is so Ironic how the Catholics - Neo... are now devoted to changing the way of lives of all other catholics. We don't accept couples who are living in "sin", innocent children aren't or cannot be baptized in the catholic church, certain people cannot receive the bread of christ. so on ..... God forgives everyone, so lets bring any and everyone back to the church!!! Let's not judge our people!
Secondly, The catholic church has received so many donations over the years to assist the church, and provide some donations to the priest for services. Well, a certain percentage from each village parish must be given to the Agana Cathedral. WTH? We are also struggling at our parish to make payments for our utilities and mortgage.
Finally, The superintendent of the Catholic Schools - Cynthia Agbulos is such a dishonest, non-leader of the catholic church. She abuses her own authority by judging others, not accepting others who she feels are below her wings. Yet, her daughter who is a teacher at St. Anthony has a history of shop lifting at SM. Great leader for the catholics. Forgive her daughter, but not others.

  9. Diana's latest post titled "It's Funny" states that because we no longer want to support the AAA it's funny that we want to see the financial report. We no longer give so I suppose we have no rights.

It's funny how the Archbishop, if he has nothing to hide has no trust and faith that The Lord will see him through all this. It's funny that the RMS is not to be disclosed, why? Is it because the foreigners listed on the corporation say no! It's funny that all we want is accountability and transparency. It's funny that Pope Frances urges the church to be financially transparent. It's funny that parishes in the mainland are being transparent with their finances.

It's funny that Diana is so obsessed with the RMS, Kiko, The NCW, and protecting the Archbishop. It's funny to think the Diana doesn't think we just want the truth.

It isn't funny anymore, and none of us are laughing. It isn't funny anymore that there is so much secrecy. It isn't funny anymore that ALL WE WANT IS THE TRUTH!

    1. The fact of the matter, Anonymous (July 13, 2014 at 10:43 PM), is that "Diana's "sense of humor" is humorless, sick and warped thanks to the influence of the NCW's "Do not question, just obey" mantra. Also, thanks to the KAKA of which they have drunk deeply, "Diana" and fellow Kikos/Kikobots are incapable of comprehending and analyzing facts that have been presented and/or synthesizing all the information to formulate an original point of view. Instead, they simply regurgitate what they have been programmed to respond.

Thank you for pointing out that, despite the ridiculing from "Diana," the bottom line is: All we want is the TRUTH, a concept totally foreign to the Archbishop, the Chancellor, the Vicar General, "Diana," and all the other Kikos/Kikobots!

Per one of the Anonymous contributors, “Let the TRUTH prevail!”

    2. @9:39 as for the followers, with few exceptions, we don't know Tim, or each other. So I don't think we are 'followers' . The Kiko bots , now there you have true followers !

    3. There are many excuses for abandoning the Church that was created by Jesus Christ himself. Not one impresses the Lord.

    4. Anonymous (July 25, 2014 at 9:55 AM), you are right by stating that we are not "followers" of Tim Rohr the way the Archbishop, et al., "Diana" and the various Kikos/Kikobots are followers/disciples of Kiko Argüello and who drink from the Cup of KAKA. (BTW: I do realize that there are many sincere members of the NCW who joined in order to enrich their spiritual lives and are staying out of this War.)

Besides being a follower of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a member of the AUTHENTIC One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, I consider myself a seeker of the Truth that will — I hope and pray — eventually free our local Church from the death grip of the Kikos/Kikobots (including the Three on the Hill and "Diana", among others).
