Popes have promulgated the Way

Sorry, Ric. The "popes" have not "promulgated the way". Apparently you do not understand the use of the term. ONE pope, Pope Benedict, promulgated the Statute of the Neocatechumenal Way. The Statute is a rule imposed on your group outside of which you have no approval. You are outside of that Statute because you continue to sit to consume the consecrated bread which is NOWHERE permitted in the Statute. In matters of the liturgy, unless an exception is explicitly permitted, the neocatechumens are bound to follow the liturgical books. You do not. You have simply to show where this practice is permitted and there would be no basis to oppose you. Stop with the name dropping and the trumped up facts and simply answer the question. The only defense offered so far is that you are getting away with it. Our Church, at least the one I belong to, doesn't operate that way. Now for the folks who will read this, watch the personal attacks on me. Anything but answer the question.

Hello, Mr. Rohr. As stated in the article, you are invited to petition or make inquiry to Cardinal Cañizares, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship, as to whether we are going against Rome's instructions in the liturgy. He is the supreme authority of these matters as designated by the Pope. Thank you.

Maria Baza Hello Maria, the reason the Statute was promulgated was so that there would be no more need to ask such questions. With the promulgation of the NCW's Statute in 2008, the rules relative to the parameters of the NCW's celebration of the eucharist were imposed. The Church expects you to follow the Statute and not disobey it.

In a another comment of yours on a previous article, you clearly stated that you do in fact sit to consume. You then gave as your "permission" to do so: the Pontifical Council for the Laity knows about it. Sorry, but that's like a man saying "my wife know's I cheat on her but it's okay because she hasn't stopped me."

In February of 2014, in the letter from Cardinal Becciu, referenced by Dr. Eusebio in this article, Kiko Arguello was once again reminded that the Statute is his "regulatory charter of reference". The Pope did not refer Kiko to Cardinal Canizares, as you do here. There was no need. The Pope referred Kiko to his Statute outside of which there is no license for the NCW to operate.

From the beginning both Kiko Arguello and Archbishop Apuron rejected the direction to conform the distribution of Holy Communion to the liturgical books. The only exceptions permitted in the NCW Statute is to receive under both kinds and to remain in one's place STANDING to receive. As you have explained, while you stand to receive, you sit to consume, and consume only after all have received. There is no permission to do this as you have already stated, admitting only that Rome hasn't stopped you from doing so.

You may not think that this violation of the Statute matters, and you may not be blamed for thinking so. But your leaders know better.

    2. I'm glad he didn't start with the same lie...the kiko mass is listed as a regular mass and all the collections go to the parish.

Look at the web sites for parishes and there are no masses listed on Saturday at 7:30PM when the kikos hold their kiko worship. Just a plain old lie by the good doctor.

And a good friend of mine who was in the Neo for 4 years before he found the courage to escape its' clutches assures me they do not do regular offerings at their Saturday private masses, so no money goes to the parish.

What saddens me is that no good Neos stood up and said this was a lie. They know it is not true but they fail to correct the bie lie that is the NCW.

Unless you neos fix these lies they will be the down fall of your beloved movement!

  2. Ok, so the statutes are approved, now all you neos need to do is follow them. However I'm sure that the Popes do not approve of a hostile take over of an Archdiocese. This is the big problem here on Guam. Yes, we point out what we believe to be practices outside your statutes, but we wouldn't give a damn if you just practiced within your movement, and not try to force it into our parishes. We fight for our traditional Catholic Faith. You people believe that we need the NCW; truth is you need us.

  3. Eusebio boasts that the Neos have 1,000 followers on Guam. It is estimated that Guam is 85% Catholic. Guam's population is around 170,000. 85% of 170,000 is 144,500 (minus 1,000 Neos) which means there are approximately 143,500 traditional Catholics on Guam who are NOT Neos. Zoltan, you can jump in and re-calculate this if you disagree.

    2. 7:38,

I pray that everyone goes to heaven. Did You forget to include the other 143,500 brothers and sisters, or did you intentionally leave them out.

    3. 7:38 What? No purgatory for them? That sales pitch might just entice more people to join. Check back wth us and let us know how it's working out.

    4. A good example of the fruit of the NCW kiko way. Anonymous August 27, 2014 at 7:38 PM boastfully states, "That's 1,000 NCW walkers going straight to heaven".
Sorry Anon kiko fool, that golden road is leading you straight to the southern route. Bring lots of water because it's going to be extremely HOT!

    5. Here's how it's working out. 1,000 kikos on Guam, and kikos claim 2,000 of them achieve instant glory in heaven. Congrats, kikos. We hope Lucifer appreciates your efforts!

  5. For the person who left a comment here for Dr. Eusebio. Please be advised that Dr. Ric Eusebio is a medical doctor and his brother, Dr. Andrew Eusebio is the dentist. It appears you had the two confused.

  6. I wish more people would be conscious of what they put on their fb profiles. Maria Baza listed her place of employment on it,which happens to be a Catholic school on island... lady, the kids and schools don't need to be associated with either side of this argument. You can do what you want with your name, but don't drag the kids into it.

I'm a teacher myself, albeit in the public school system. I still have to watch myself in the public sphere because what I do might reflect badly on my students. I hope other Catholic school teachers think before they post.

  7. NCW is really very small. Catholic community needs to stand united and stop this sect taking over the Island.

    1. All it takes is one cancer cell to divide. Don't forget their international organization. Too many of us understood those cells to be benign. Lots of catching up to do Catholics of Guam. The Cathedral invasion and takeover has happened already. Look at Iraq; At least they still have Bahgdad! @9:46 We better get moving! We"ll be refugees in our own home island. Cathedral parishioners already refugees! Sorry to make such comparison when those Catholics are suffering unto death for their faith...but I think it is apt.

  8. I am a former neocat and the claim of 1,000 is laughable. Whenever all of the neos get together, I estimate about 500-600, and many have dropped out, or walking off and on. Kids take up a significant portion. The fanatical core constitutes about 200, including archbishop Apuron , Monsignor David, and Fr. Adrian, and their catechist Fr. Pius. This is why a few disproportionally wields enormous and unholy influence over Guam. Fr. Pius wields enormous power and influence over the archbishop, who is just another member to the neocats. When there is a problem or an issue within the neo or outside the neo, Fr. Pius is asked first, not the archbishop. In fact, the archbishop, Monsignor David, and Fr. Adrian all defer to Fr. Pius. I know that Fr. Pius(and his boss Giuseppe) were instrumental in getting Fr. Paul fired, Monsignor James fired, the assignment of which pastors, and other decisions regarding the governance of the archdiocese. They certainly got the archbishop to incardinate Fr. John Wadeson here quickly and without notice, knowing of his alleged sexual abuse past, but he was a neo priest and he had important assignments to attend so they overlook it. How do I know? I know, and when Fr. Pius reads this, he knows who I am. :)
