THE ABOMINATION IN THE TEMPLE: COMING TO A MASS NEAR YOU

The word "affair" is radioactive. The mere mention of it can open old wounds or start a mortally sinful chain reaction of imaginings. The use of it in the context of an unsolicited testimony in front of families as it happened at Mass this morning is not just an abhorrent abuse of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, it is  also a brutal rape of the fragile sensibilities of the unsuspecting hearers.

A family in attendance may well have spent many years healing from the wounds of an infidelity, crawling out of the pit of despair, still bleeding, still trying to heal, seeking to restore their lives in Christ in their commitment to the Eucharist...and then there's THIS guy, throwing around the word like its a badge, stabbing people at random with its mere mention.

Another couple, having marital problems, hears the word "affair" and a temptation that one or both of them have been fighting off through frequent confession, reception of the eucharist, and the avoidance of dangerous thoughts and the "near occasion of sin" is suddenly jolted into an imaginative reaction that rips the soul, sucks the heart dry of moral courage faster than the juice can be sucked out of Fr. Edivaldo's orange girls, and sends the psyche into a fit that quickly spirals into hell.

And all the while, standing, waiting for the priest's final blessing, with the Eucharistic Lord still present within them.

Talk about the abomination in the temple. And all at the direction of Archbishop Anthony Sablan Apuron, Ofm. Cap. D.D.

    1. OH!! Gosh Thank You for The Nice Invitation. But like you No One here is interested. We are not interested in anything but the RCC Roman Catholic Church.

We just wish the Guam Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church was actually interested in the Roman Catholic Church.

    2. 12:33 a.m. Are you for real to welcome us to the New Catholic NCW church? Is there new Jesus or peter? 3rd Commandment is to keep Holy the Lord's Day. the Lord's day is SUNDAY not Saturday. I like the Old Catholic Church better. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.

Please take your New Catholic NCW Church elsewhere and leave us one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church alone. I know it's the devil telling us to leave our Church and join the New Catholic NCW Church of Guam. The devil doesn't like it when we worship God and God alone. It makes God sad and the devil happy.

Jesus said in Sunday's gospel, "GET BEHIND ME, SATAN! YOU ARE AN OBSTACLE TO ME. YOU ARE THINKING NOT AS GOD DOES, BUT AS A HUMAN BEING.

    3. NCW listen carefully to next week's gospel reading. It also pertains to you and the neo archbishop. Oh, when Jesus said the church, He doesn't mean the neo archbishop or the New Catholic NCW church. He means His one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church, my church.

  2. Every week these idiots do another stupid thing to hurt our Church and bring her to her knees. They do not need any help, they can do STUPID all by themselves. What a sad day to be a Catholic on Guam. Please leave our island now. We are sick the leaders of the NCW. Yes I said it!!! This is a Priest from the infamous RMS in Yona? Lucky Father Kidd went to St. Patricks he is the only "new" priest who makes any sense.

  3. Tim: Where is the 22nd Sunday MASS online????????????? Did they fire more people again????

    1. It was not broadcast on KOLG (our Catholic radio station) as well. Although still owned and licensed by the Archdiocese and broadcasts from the Cathedral using the same microphones in the church, the radio station is a separate operation not administrated by the Cathedral, but by Kamalen Karidat.

At first I wondered if there was no 9:30 mass. The more plausible explanation is that since Mass was not offered live online, the microphone connections were not activated and thus did not go out over the airwaves as well.

    2. Thank you, Jose M., for sharing your insight. Even if the 9:30 Mass is not televised by KUAM, I'm sure there are those unable to attend Mass who look forward to viewing the live stream, even if the congregation continues to shrink, in an effort to "connect" with the Liturgy.

  4. I hear that KUAM will no longer televise the 9:30 a.m. Sunday mass. It's still live streamed, though, but last Sunday only a handful of people signed on to watch. The flock is scattered waiting for a good shepherd's voice.

    2. The mass yesterday on line was a previous mass during Easter session. I understand the people doing the broadcast quit. That was another service under the development group that was under Monsignor James.

Can't understand why this new administration can't get their act together, it has been a month.

    3. It is now September first, where is this administration with the financial report? You were so quick to pull the trigger on Monsignor Benavente but you don't have a back up plan on the deadline you placed on the parish. If you can't meet this deadline you should also be fired. Let us not have double standards. You are now 16 days delinquent and counting. There is no excuse.

  5. Archbishop has abused the Holy Mass so much that his intention is confused. in this case his mass is not a valid mass. Unless a catholic priest has full intention to consecrate the bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ, by the words and actions, of mother church, it is not the Holy Eucharist. One must have intention to confer the Eucharist. This is the confusion and division created by our Archbishop. Dangerous to the salvation of our Island community.

  6. Who in their right mind would want to work under these conditions! Even the choir members at Cathedral were seen at Tamuning at 11am. I am glad they are still trying to serve God the best they can for our church. God Bless

  7. The operators for the radio station & for the live streaming can not get in, access code to enter was changed to only 3 people, the rector, vice rector & assistant rector Coreen. The altar servers have to wait outside until one of the 3 opens the door. The cathedral office doors lock has been changed already 4 times since July 25.

    1. That's a better explanation than mine. The security lock at the back door can only be access with a fingerprint or code.

    2. Anonymous (September 1, 2014 at 12:41 PM), "assistant rector Coreen"?!?

      Delete
    3. She IS the asst rector, who is more like the rector. At least she understands work ethics and being an administrator. David the JCD just collects the pay but doesn't want to do the work.
He gets paid by the Cathedral, by the Chancery, by St Joseph, and by the RMS seminary.
Correen abandoned her school so she could cover for David's short comings, otherwise things would be far far worse!

      God bless you.

  8. It's only the beginning of September, but I'm thinking ahead for December 8. In light of these recent events and Way testimonials, I have 3 questions pertaining to December 8 events: 1) Are we still having a procession; 2) How many are going? 3) Do you think the rosary and prayer service be replaced by testimonials like these blaring through the Basilica's speakers?
It's a scary thought, but what do you guys think?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Procession? Who at this time would be in their right minds to even want to attend the event with the hostile takeover of the Basilica?

Please, don't get me wrong, you have good questions but the way things are going now, my reality is kicking in that this.year. may be the lowest turnout ever. How sad for a good number of us that would usually be looking forward to it annually have the mindset of not attending.

  10. Gossip: When people air our other people's dirty laundry, [casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people (Google.com)]

Invitation to Joy: When NEOs air our their personal dirty laundry, not too unlike the word "gossip" DURING Mass

Your invitation to joy, should not have a place in the Mass--- for "invitations, echoes and testimonies." We DO NOT WANT TO HEAR IT!!! We do not want to spend our lunches and dinners, after Mass, trying to explain to children, and bewildered adults, why that man/lady had to tell us that he/she was a druggie, or what an adulterer is, etc. etc. blah blah...Save your disgusting words for your own Eucharists. If you are titillated by these echoes, we ARE NOT!

It is like a bake sale for CCD students, selling cookies and juice right at the pulpit, with the complete endorsement of the crooked Apuron. At least those cookies and juice are edible and the fundraisers are openly asking for money in exchange for goodies, NOT stealing money from the parishioners' tithing and blatantly lying about it.

IF you Neos want to "invite" people at Church, set up a table OUTSIDE of the Church and sell your Kiko-aid (main ingredient: toilet bowl declogger) OUT THERE!!! Try and stop people, beg them for their time and plead for them to take those hard stock fliers (waste of trees and money) with that super ugly excuse for art printed on them.

You should not be fishing in the fishpond, you super lazy evangelists!

We are already in CHURCH! We are happy with our Mass!

We don't need the extra brainwashing of your weirdos to help us become "full Catholics." That is what the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Mass is for.

No wonder you didn't do your "invitation to H3LL, oh I mean JOY" at the 9:30 Cathedral Mass, you didn't want to turn off the last 20 some people left in your Mass, Apuron.

Be honest for once, the newNeo Admin had to stop broadcasting and live-streaming the Mass because of the OBVIOUS poor turnout, your sad homilies and the numerous mistakes committed by your neoAltarservers and neoPresbyters!

And tell the truth, not being broadcasted out there in T.V.-land and the internet truly saddens you, because you LOVE seeing your BIG head on screen.

Though you don't like that "double-chin shot" that you chewed out the previous technicians for! YOU were vigorously adamant, Apuron, that only half-body camera shots were taken of you, as you read your 'written-by-someone-else' homilies, so you won't look fat on T.V./computer screen! Wow...remember, Apuron, vanity is a sin!!!

In Conclusion, STOP INVITING US TO YOUR NEO "JOY" DURING MASS!
    Thank you very much!!!

    3. I've been to several celebrations and heard many testimonies, scrutinies, or whatever they choose to call a public gossip confessional. Each instance was absolutely dreadful!

I took no pleasure in hearing gossip about their father and mother, husband or wife, sibling or best friend. It's completely one-sided, sometimes grossly exaggerated or purely fictional.

Insert it into a pseudo mass and say that it's God's will, then you can convince even the most learned cynic that it's the way to salvation. The Way.

Do this public gossip confessional scrutiny enough times and eventually the individual NCW member disassociates himself from their loved ones - the same loved ones who would be the voice of reason. As this indoctrination and control grows, the test of faith to the NCW God is giving one's assets to the NCW corporation.

And there it is... salvation for a few gold coins.

The NCW closely mimics Scientology in that:
      - both have levels and rank that require a token
      - both have audits or scrutinies in which you reveal all to your eventual masters
      - both gradually increase their access to member wealth
      - both have the sinister goal of controlling its members

  12. We were once a sleeping giant, but GOD has stirred this giant awake!! More and more people are now seeing how good and innocent Catholics are being used by Kiko Arguello for his agenda to divide and destroy the Catholic Church. It's time for him and his NCW to be shut down!!

  13. When all peace is lost, when disunity is abound, God is no longer present in the Archdiocese.
Archbishop Apuron is no longer a sign of the unity of the church .

  14. From 'Interview with Kiko Arguello' on Diana's blog:

In this interview he says, "we are following an ecumenical itinerary open to those who have fallen away from the Church". -- Why their recruitment tactics to enlist those already IN the Catholic Church?

Secondly, he says, "also keep in mind that many people who enter the Way have fallen away from the faith; they are "prodigal children" returning to the house of the Father, and one must be very merciful with them until their faith matures and they can be fully integrated in the parish." -- Why then don't we see these prodigal children coming back to be fully integrated in the parish? With all the good testimonies about how 'the way' has strengthened and matured their faith, why is it that they still remain in the "temporary" small communities?

This tells me that they are only selling points in order to make his agenda sound like his NCW is doing a good thing. But the actions tell us otherwise...that it's a ploy to divide Mother Church in order to destroy her.

  15. I know a lot of Neos, the quiet, humble ones who almost never talk about themselves. They never talk about how filthy they were and how the Neos saved them. They were good Catholics before the Neos came and joined it thinking it was a way to become stronger Catholics. They are still Neo because they enjoy some or all of it. But they remain humble and friendly, active in their parishes. They don't shove it in our faces that they are Neo. They even hardly talk about it. Guess what. THOSE kind of Neos do not rise in the ranks of the Neos and take over pulpits or get to be VIPs in the Neos. Those that do rise up the ranks are the ones who can't move beyond themselves. They are stuck in their filthiness and now their redemption and they have to shove it in our faces. They talk a lot about God, but to me they seem to talk just as much or more about themselves and seem to really enjoy that. Like still working on their inner demons, even though they pretend to be saved. Take your example from those humble Neos. Get over yourselves. It's not all about you. Not even your redemption. That's turning your redemption into an idol, if I can borrow from a term the Neos shove in our faces a lot.

  16. Sad but true, 5:45, you have to be a crooked NEO to be seen as a fruitful Neo.

Please, we wish to know these good NEO examples, because so far, sadly enough, I have yet met a good Neo...so sad, indeed!

    1. If you've ever been in a red light long enough while those big "Come and Listen" signs were out, and you were able to take a moment to read the criteria, you would have seen that the NeoCatechumenal Way wasn't just targeting those in their moments of personal/financial weaknesses.
They targeted (and still target) people who have felt that they weren't getting enough in their spiritual lives: the kinds who figured that mass (even daily) was not fulfilling their spiritual fires enough. Sadly there are those, "humble, quiet," genuinely kind people out there who have fallen under that category.
There are also those who have been in it for so long that they know nothing else.
There are also those who disagree with what's been happening, but don't want to break up the family.
Those are the types for which I have compassion. Those, I believe are the reasons for why making a clean break is not that simple.
I don't agree with the NCW, but it is for those types that I have mentioned (and yes, I do know some as well), that I have tolerated it for so long.
It is true that our Shepherd has abandoned us, and yes, it is a sad fact, but that only means that it is up to US to keep our faith going.
As for those types I have mentioned, as well as the ones who mock us on and off this blog, if we can't coax them out of The Way with charity, love, and compassion, then the least we could do is PRAY for them, and hope they find their way back to Our Church.
