  1. this is guam. are these people serious first off that was a waste of money look at these security guards so obvious. also what are they going to protect him from kids? I can't believe all of this because you are paranoid bishop. you need to make peace with yourself and the lord. and get back on track. ridiculous. and shame on those who encourage this behavior.

  2. This is what it looks like when your faith disappears from your heart and your soul.
You have to rely on a bunch of mickey mouse kids trying to play cops and robbers.
    Pathetic!!! to say the least.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
The cowards are circling the wagons, and looking at their watch...... is this over soon???
    Get me outta here!!!

  3. Wow AAA, AGAIN?!!!...Wrong message, bad timing, and seriously, NO CLASS, NO GRACE in this perfect picture opportunity!

You may have money, but you really do not have any class befitting royalty, no composure, and clear lack of Chamorro Spirit. Reminds me of M&Ms (Money & Misery).

Why the men in Black and Khaki pants? The Catholic Church is not meant to intimidate, but to heal. Is this your way of showing how you want the Archdiocese to heal? To build bridges? A show of force?

Don't recall ever reading Jesus having to show force but he did get upset only once in Scripture where he overthrew the tables because HIS Father's house was being desecrated. OUR CHURCH IS BEING DESECRATED AAA!...Sad

  4. With all the impassioned attacks on the current church leadership - some deserved and some not - this seems like a completely reasonable precaution. Let's face it, there's always some knucklehead in the crowd who wants to fight at any place, any time, and for any reason.

Personally, I'm more interested in discussing the problems the church is facing. Solutions would be even better.

    1. What impassioned attacks? The only attacks have come from the archbishop. But even if there were any real threats, what a great statement AAA could have made by standing up and trusting God instead if hiding behind a wall. But then we're used to that, aren't we.

    2. He trusted God. And God sent him the security guards.

    3. "What impassioned attacks? The only attacks have come from the archbishop."

I'm sure you don't mean to imply that there hasn't been a single threat against AAA on your forum. I'm sure Diana has to throw out many of them on hers.

"But even if there were any real threats, what a great statement AAA could have made by standing up and trusting God instead if hiding behind a wall."

If the environment has some hostile elements, should we criticize someone for preparing for them? It seems like a smart move to me.

There are more worthy issues to address rather than this minor distraction.

The danger of interpreting every single move AAA makes in the worst possible way only lessens the effectiveness of every reasonable and actionable criticism. They all become noise.

    5. Show me anything on this blog that comes anywhere near Apuron's mafioso threat to Fr. Paul to resign or SUFFER A MORE ARDUOUS AND PAINFUL CLOSURE to his assignment.

In fact show me any threat at all. Apuron is a bully and a coward and is trying to make himself out to be the victim when it is he who has victimized so many.

The people of Guam have shown so much restraint, so much patience, so much love....
      Impassioned attacks!!!!
I guess you confuse, revealing the truth, unveiling the lies as being attacks.....No they are self-defense.
      What a joke.
We know the problem the Church is facing, it is called the NCW and its endless procession of lies and deceit. What is there to discuss?
More distractions from the real issue, the cancer that eat at our Church.

    7. Anon@12 noon....what is the Archbishop so afraid off? imagine to have the bodyguards on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception! The feast we hold dear to our hearts, because Santa Marian Kamalen is our island's Protector! To hide amongst the bodyguards while walking behind the Karosa shows his fear and his unending doubt that the Santa Marian Kamalen would not protect him.

The Archbishop has become paranoid. A person who is paranoid shows that he has lost faith in God and in himself. Didn't the Lord say, " Do not be afraid for I am with you always?"

    8. So are the body guards still with him now....were they with him in Yigo? Is the threat gone? Who will pick up the pizzas?

    9. If the AAAALOOOOHA is in Saipan, are his bodyguards with him? Will they be traveling to Manila also to see the Pope and camp at the Diamond hotel also?

    10. >"I guess you confuse, revealing the truth, unveiling the lies as being attacks"

That's hardly the case. The problem with interpreting absolutely everything AAA does in the worst way possible (ie. having protection when he feels that his person is being threatened) is that it dilutes the valid and reasonable criticisms people have of AAA.

Criticizing men dressed in black and khaki hardly seems important. What truth is revealed in doing so?

      >"We know the problem the Church is facing, it is called the NCW and its endless procession of lies and deceit. What is there to discuss?"

There are many wonderful people in the NCW, even Tim concedes this. Their goal is to move closer to God. Isn't the the stated goal of Christianity?

If you take the stance that there can be no more discussion and thus no room for reasoning - even with these people of good intention - then the harm to the Church may be far worse than you imagine.

The danger I see is that so many people are taking pleasure in the fight itself. There are many wonderful people who will be harmed, however this drama plays out.

"To hide amongst the bodyguards while walking behind the Karosa shows his fear and his unending doubt that the Santa Marian Kamalen would not protect him. "

Jump off a cliff and pray to Santa Marian Kamalen to protect. Having faith doesn't mean you should go out and do something stupid. It's this sort of petty criticism that distracts from the valid ones.

"Didn't the Lord say, " Do not be afraid for I am with you always?""

Jump off a plane without a parachute and report back to us about fear, faith, and leaving absolutely everything up to Santa Marian Kamalen. Faith is a wonderful thing, however it may not mean what you think it means.

You say: The problem with interpreting absolutely everything AAA does in the worst way possible (ie. having protection when he feels that his person is being threatened) is that it dilutes the valid and reasonable criticisms people have of AAA.

I say: Why does AAA feel “that his person is being threatened”? Threatened by whom? Why did he remain cowering in his office when John Toves went to see him? Why did he not just come out and calmly confront John Toves and say that John Toves was wrong, that he never touched his relative? Why has AAA never even proclaimed his innocence to the rest of us? AAA is being threatened by THE TRUTH and no amount of bodyguards will protect him from that.

You say: There are many wonderful people in the NCW, even Tim concedes this. Their goal is to move closer to God. Isn't the the stated goal of Christianity?

I say: I have always made a distinction between those who joined the NCW for the right reasons and the Kiko’s. Sadly the good people in the NCW are even greater victims than the rest of us. They are the ones that are most lied to and most abused by the NCW leadership. The biggest lie is that “the liturgy has been approved”, referring to the NCW liturgy. It’s a lie Apuron tells all the time and its a lie that he tells every time he celebrates his NCW “eucharist”.

You say: If you take the stance that there can be no more discussion and thus no room for reasoning - even with these people of good intention - then the harm to the Church may be far worse than you imagine. The danger I see is that so many people are taking pleasure in the fight itself. There are many wonderful people who will be harmed, however this drama plays out.

I say: And yes, and how sad it is that Apuron has not taken the leadership and publicly shown us that what we believe to be your insistent disobedience to Rome is only our imaginings. He could put this whole thing to rest with a public statement and posting the “approval” in the U Matuna. We would have nothing. This all would have been silenced long ago. But he won’t because he can’t. Because he’s lying. AGAIN. There is no pleasure in this fight. The “harm to the Church” is what you have brought to it and what Apuron has allowed to continue. How sick to believe that we who stand up against lies and error and Apuron’s bullying are the problem. Sick.

You say: Jump off a cliff and pray to Santa Marian Kamalen to protect. Having faith doesn't mean you should go out and do something stupid. It's this sort of petty criticism that distracts from the valid ones.

I say: Ah yes, now you reveal yourself. You have no argument for AAA. You make jumping off a cliff and praying for protection (the sin of presumption) to simply walking in a procession. If Apuron felt truly threatened then he should have had real guards, not pretend ones. But no, he did not want real guards, he wanted to make a show. He wanted to show how he is the persecuted one. Narcissist that he is, he wanted the procession to be all about him.

Apuron does not need bodyguards, he needs soul-guards.

    6. Most likely willing and able to be the Head of Pius' hammer, and thanks to his relationship in GPD a fixer of things, as well as a trouble shooter.
Fortunately for us by shining the light on their actions, we make it more difficult for them to keep their misdeeds away from the public eye.
The Sicilians used to refer to the mafia as the octopus, because its tentacles are reaching everywhere.
Pius who was raised in that mentality, has a record to use that kind of M O.
He would of course use someone like Santo Tomas and his background, because such a person can render many services.
In these lines of work, somebody always owes you something.
      Pius, and Genarini know that.
This is how the Neo's Octopus is spreading its cancer around. Most likely this is how an evil person like Pius can sneak in Guam and remain under cover most of the time.
      "Wink, wink....Nod, nod.....Know what I mean?"

    13. @11:49, Dennis Santo Tomas stepped in as soon as Lier AAA fired Msgr James! He was at the Cemetary taking over Joshua Perez job even at the Gift Shop. One of the Gift Shop staff submitted resignation letter to new rector David, it's was Santo Tomas who responded not Msgr David!

    14. That would make sense. The thug tactics with which the outgoing cathedral staff were treated and the full TSA "anals" everytime they walked out the door made me wonder who was calling the shots. The staff reported that Jucutan was on the phone with someone a lot and sweating. Apparently Jucutan was the guy on the ground who had to do the anals, but Mr. Big was the guy on the other end calling the shots. Seeing how Mr. Santo Tomas tried to bully the press when they didn't do things to his liking, I have no doubt that he's Mr. Big.

    15. to anon at 7.57, would love to tell you, but will not reveal my sources at this time.....
Just know the real face of the Samnut, and it is the face of pure evil.
As for Tim, the little I know about him, tells me he is a man of integrity, which seem to be lacking so much on the "other side". He is a true and fervent Catholic, which is more that I can say regarding the people on the hill and the Hotel.
While He and I might differ on some specific issue, we are of one mind on the subject of the Chancery and the people pulling the strings in the shadows.
So enjoy your Sunday and give a call to you friends at Dyncorp, may be they can come to help you.

  8. None of them are security guards, except for one who has a law enforcement background. The rest are just former altar servers who look buff with wire things. This is a typical scenario from Pius playbook.
Pius is so used to his mafia old habits that the cannot resist using them over and over again.
    The man is a psychopath.
May be we should do unto him, what he people of his island did before.
He is lucky that we are people of peace.

If people are just going to complain then they should volunteer their time for next year's proccession! Just my opinion! Like I read in a previous post they wore these clothes not to be in the same uniform as the volunteers in white. They chose to wear these clothes to stand up and support MSGR. Benavente! Most of these volunteers are close to the MSGR James and will remain loyal supporters of his.
