IN TODAY'S PDN: "CATHOLICS NEED TO SEE ACCOUNTABILITY"

Each Lent the Catholics of Guam are asked to contribute to a special "appeal." Traditionally, most of the funds collected during the appeal were used to help finance the formation of priests for this diocese who were normally sent to seminaries in the states.

  1. Over more than a decade I contributed more or less $10,000 to the "seminary" because I trusted the archbishop. Then when Tim exposed the truth on this blog a year or so ago I stopped contributing and realized in horror that I had unknowingly been contributing to a cult that hurt Fr. Paul Gofigan. I was made an unwitting accomplice to the destruction of Guam's Catholic Church, her priests, deacons, prospective seminarians and lay people. Now I am reluctant to contribute to other Catholic agencies here, i.e. Catholic Social Service, because I know they are required to send a percentage to the chancery and probably the "seminary." I hope Rome rectifies this situation.

  2. Nada! Zilch! Zero! Not a penny more from me. "Call Me Tony" has his sticky little fingers into everything run by the archdiocese. Don't you love it? Call me Tony.

  3. I don't think you can just totally stop and put an end to Sunday contributions because it will adversely affect the operation and upkeep of the parishes, i.e., the payment of utility bills, maintenance costs and etc. And if you stop contributing to the Annual Appeal, the ministries that depend on that money will be negatively affected. The appeal just doesn't go to financially supporting the RMS.

    1. The thought of RMS getting part of the money is what I'm against. Knowing how AAA operates, I'm sure that his priority is funding the RMS even if the other ministries suffer. Sorry it has come to this but AAA has brought this upon himself by betraying us, deceiving us, lying to us, and attacking priests, deacons, and alienating the majority of the island's Catholics. He should have thought about the consequences of his dubious actions over the many years he's been archbishop.

    2. In our church their is a whisper campaign going on with the goal of zero ($0,00) donation for the AAA.

    3. Please accept my donation in the amount of $000,000.00 for the AAA. Don't blow it all at once!

  4. You can go to another Catholic church with a Catholic priest and donate there..

    1. Another Catholic Church? Do we have a Catholic Church here not affiliated with Rome? The fact is, the archdiocese assesses a percentage of all contributions from ALL of the Catholic Churches in Guam.

    2. I believe anon @11.39 was asking about another Catholic parrish.
In this period of lent let's look inward and find the goodness in our hearts to help one another.
All this despite our heart felt anger for redress, even better, because of it.
We must not fall to the level of the lost souls that try to destroy our Church, we must be better than them and better that what we have been in the past.
Only then shall we be strong enough to face the devil.
Jesus open our hearts, St Michael defend us in battle.

    3. Anon 11:39, does that mean the church you go to is not Catholic, since the other church you refer to has a "...Catholic Priest".? Let me answer for you, yes it is not Catholic. How about you and your kind go to another land, like New Jersey. Then you can steal from them. Get brave, reveal your name.

    4. Joseph, as long as the picking/plundering is good here the NCW will not leave. AAA allowed them in and they are in cahoots, smiling their way to the bank as we speak.
False Catholicism is surely something we need to look out for, and we need call them out on their abuse of the liturgy and the heresy they promote, misleading Catholics who are weak and struggling with their faith. Yes, let's tell them to pack their bags and get the hell out, PRONTO!

    5. NCW stands for "Not Catholic Whatsoever". Need I say more? Okay, GET THE HELL OUT OF GUAM YOU NCW BUFFOONS!!

  5. CCOG sent a letter to the Archbishop requesting for an accounting of where the money was spent on the donations for the AAA appeal, this letter in addition to the other letters sent by CCOG has been ignored by the Archbishop. If he feels that his flock does not deserve an answer then it stands to reason that we should not also donate.

The other compelling reason why Catholics should not contribute to the Appeal is that we are in essence contributing in turning our parishes to be staffed by neo Presbyters in the near future. Their master plan is now obvious. Presently there are seven parishes staffed by neo priest, and there are 44 more seminarians undergoing training at RMS, couple this with the fact that the Archbishop refused to sponsor Arron Quitugua to an off island Diocesan Seminary means that in a few short years the only priest available fro Guam will be the ones from RMS. Our priests are getting old and Father Jose Villagomez our pastor at St. Francis is on medical leave because of ill health. We are fortunate that we are assigned another Capuchin pastor, but in the near future the priests being ordained from RMS will need to be assigned to Guam since they are all being ordained for this Archdiocese, so in the near future all of the Parishes on Guam will have to be staffed with Neo clergy.
It has been frustrating that the voices, wants and strong feelings of 100,000 Catholics are being ignored by an Archbishop who has a flock of only 600 neo's OOG.
Archbishop Apuron, do not forget your obligation to the needs and wants of the other Catholic Faithfuls who do not wish or want to be members of the NCW Movement. I was raised a Catholic and will die a Catholic as was taught and passed on by parents, grandparents and great grand parents. Holy Ghost guide your Church.

    Dear Anonymous at 11:52 pm,

It does not bother me that my name was reported to the Vatican. The mission was already accomplished in Manila. You can do whatever you want. In fact, go ahead and write a letter to Rome and tell them that the NCW stands to receive the Body of Christ but sits down to consume His Body. I am sure they hear that all the time. WHAT DOES DIANA MEAN BY THE MISSION WAS ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED IN MANILA??????????

I'm glad to know that you noticed that we're an ARMY and that were out to rid of this island of these false prophets and half-baked presbyters from contaminating the One True Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church! 3. Yes, we are indeed the Special Forces, church militants who dare hold unfaithful clergy and religious accountable as we follow the One True Church.

    1. Between the two there is only ONE True Church. The other is Kiko's brand of Catholicism that mimics the Catholic Church, diverting lost souls into the path of eternal damnation while making them believe they're going to heaven. There is no middle ground in authentic Catholic faith. Sorry all you church progessives who seek to change the Bride of Christ into something she's not. God will spit out those of lukewarm faith and punish the heretics. Word!
