HERE IS WALTER ASKING TO SPEAK WITH ARCHBISHOP HON

HE WAS IGNORED!

WALTER DENTON: Shirley and I went to protest with The laity group.  The Bishop stood outside and said a few a words to the protesters. I was standing to the right of him and I told his assistant the priest that I wanted to meet him but he made no effort. I told him I was one of the Victims. They turned around and went into the church. We decided to go into attend the mass with archbishop Han. He started out saying there are protesters outside. We pray and hopefully in two weeks this will die down. After he said that I told my wife lets get out of here. I don't want to be here.

Right near the end of the video, just as Walter extends his hand to Fr. Ted, you can hear him say "I'd like to speak to him." How horribly sad is this. How horribly sad. I'm shaking my head and fighting tears. I am sick to death of these people. SICK TO DEATH.

  1. "they turned around and went into the church."

    :(

unbelievable. and yet, i'm not surprised.

if it weren't for the fact that this is the Church established by Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, i would have left this institution long ago. but, as st peter asked, "to whom shall we go?" therefore, the Church--the true Church--is worth fighting for.

  2. Actions and Pictures are Worth More than a Gazillion and Bizillon Words! Turning one's back to someone who is suffering is lower than low. Now we know and I hope Rome is watching too! "Business As Usual" but Wait - I read something about "Two Weeks"! So in two weeks, both the NEOs and True Catholics are going to KUMBAYA the problems away! What a Concept!

  3. rey d, Here's what actually happened. More than 50 faithful Catolics picketed in front of the Cathedral from 9 to 9:45 yesterday. They stopped for seconds to listen to Archbishop Hon then resumed the picket line until the picket ended at 9:45. What Jojo Santo Tomas said was wrong:

"The protesters held signs and softly sang before they dispersed right after Hon acknowledged them at the front of the Cathedral steps."

Also, one wonders how long Santo Tomas had to "beat the bushes" to find
the quotes he found to exclusion of the multitude of picketers who were right in front of him.

    1. Jojo, go back to the kitchen and eat boy. Stay out of news reporting if you can't accurately report what the actual scene was. Yes, Tim, horribly sad that these crocks wearing the cloth are turning their backs on the flesh of Walter Denton. We are really fighting these modern demons. -Malesso-

  4. Hon's sincerity (or insincerity) will be shown in how he treats requests to talk with CCOG, LFM, apuron's sex abuse victims, or others with concerns. If he would be the one to reach out to these people/organizations regarding the issues already made public, it would be even better.

  5. Boy this makes me angry

  6. Walter, when Archbishop Hon turned his back to you, it was conciliatory indeed. As a representative of the Catholic Church he was inviting you to do to him what Mr Apuron did to you so brutally. Hon was "turning the other cheek" to make up for what you and your family suffered through all these 40 plus years. Of course you wouldn't do it "behind his back" because you are a far more decent human being than these church officials can i agine for themselves. The Catholic Church has "shafted" so many innocent lives but I have much admiraration that you have maintained your dignity and respect more than those we call our leaders in the faith. I am beyond angry, I am livid at the lack of positive action on the part of the Church who are entrusted the care of souls.

  7. Hope CCOG doesn't get the "sit down and listen , I'm talking" treatment Sr Cecilia got when she asked a question of Hon last year.

  8. It is totally sad, to see Father Nowak, whom many believe is being groomed to become the next Archbishop of Guam, totally ignoring a victim.

It is even more sad, when you know that Father Nowak's parents fled Poland's 5 years of suffering during WWII followed by years of Communist persecution.
It was that persecution that convinced Father Nowak's father and mother to flee to Winnipeg Manitoba to raise their children in peace, and in a place where you could worship freely.

Walter wanted also to worship freely, but Father Apuron made it impossible for him to fully embrace and trust the Church that should have protected him.

Now Fr. Nowak continues that lack of trust, here on Guam.
The man some in Rome think might be a good bishop for Guam, has had an Epic Failure...

Cardinal Filoni is at work, in Rome, trying to choreograph this sad play.
Cardinal Filoni, needs to stop playing politics.
Cardinal Filoni, needs to remember the vows he took when he entered the priesthood and later when he accepted larger responsibilities.
Cardinal Filoni, needs to stop worrying about how to protect Kiko and his sect, and take care of the Catholic Church. The true Catholic and Apostolic Church.
If Cardinal Filoni truly wishes to enforce the wishes of Pope Francis he needs to stop sending us people, who take us for some infantile servants, rather than the fully grown faithful that we are.
We are not dupe, and we shall make sure that Cardinal Filoni face responsibility for his actions and manipulations, should he insist on this path. This is not Italy 15th or 16th Century, this is US of A 21st century.

Archbishop Hon on this Monday morning, needs to figure out where is souls rest?
Is it with a career under the protection of a powerful Cardinal for whom he is just a convenient puppet?
Or is it with the Eternal, Apostolic Church, and its faithful?

I was expecting better from a Salesian.
But perhaps, as Tony forgot about the Franciscans he grew with, Archbishop Hon forgot the Salesian that educated and groomed him.

    1. Amen. Unfortunately clericalism is the word of the day, of the decade, of our times.

    2. Archbishop Hon, is badly misinformed if he feels that protecting Kiko's minions on Guam, will silence the great masses. All he need do is review all the places that the Neo's destroyed, these include Japan, Philippines. Archbishop Hon, please remember that our Battle here is for the PRESERVATION OF OUR FAITH AS IT WAS HANDED DOWN BY OUR ANCESTORS. THIS A FIGHT FOR THE VERY CORE OF OUR FAITH AND TO INSURE THAT OUR CHILDREN ARE NOT CONTAMINATED BY THE TEACHINGS AND PLUNDERING OF THE FALSE prophet.

  9. Archbishop Hon had failed the abused victims even before he ignores Walter on the steps of the Cathedral of Guam. The victims should have been his priority. The Pope had met with sex abuse victims, albeit after criticism, at the end of his U.S. tour. I guess this lesson was lost on Archbishop Hon.
The task of Administrating to a diocese that has endured many abuses has "failed" miserably to begin the healing process. While the faithful continue to "hope", the virtue of patience is being severely tested. St Jude pray for us! St. Joan of Arc pray for us!

  10. Like I said earlier, floggings will continue until morale improves - or until someone gets hurt. Archbishop Hon cannot afford to squander this opening to a genuine reconciliation. One ahould be honest and humble enough to acknowledge when one is unable to fulfill a role entrusted to them. This goes to any individual who is recommended to any office or role. One should not flatter oneself based on what people think they can do. Nemo dat quod non habet - one cannot give what one doesn't have. Through pure prayer and solid discernment I hope we are sent the right person to administer the archdiocese the right way.

  11. I have no words, but tears. Archbishop Hon represents the Pope as he himself said. Is this what the Pope would do? He not only turned his back on Walter, Roy, and +Sonny, he turned his back on the Catholic faithful of this island. Where is the example of the compassion of Christ to these men?

These men hurt so much and just a kind word or an invitation to pray with them would have been appropriate. I am embarrassed by the inaction of the hierarchy, but more so, I AM DISGUSTED! Archbishop Hon blew his moment to show what the Church is really about.

    1. I seriously doubt Pope Francis will condone the actions and inactions of archbishop Hon to date. Like I posted earlier, it is also a make or break situation for archbishop Hon. Pope Francis may be wiser than what some may think.
Holy Spirit, hear our prayers. Have mercy on your people Lord!

  12. I'm sorry to say this, but Archbishop Hon thinks because he is now the administrator for the archdiocese that the faithful will stop the protesting, he is dead wrong!

Archbishop Hon, we the faithful will not stop protesting until Tony and his cronies are removed from their current positions! As an administrator of this diocese, you should NEVER turn your back on the victims. By turning your back on Mr. Denton and his wife, you have continued the ignorance of the church towards the victims!

  13. I don't think it was intentional that Walter was ignored. Archbishop Hon was on his way to say Mass, and that he briefly spoke to the protestors shows that he acknowledged their presence.
Someone said that nothing is going to happen to Apuron cause of the statue of limitation has run out... but I retorted and told him... the question is... if Apuron is guilty he should be removed, statue of limitation or not. I hope and pray that the "2 weeks" window will determine Apuron's fate... cause it will be ours as well.

    1. Walter was not ignored on the steps of the Cathedral Sunday morning. Walter has been ignored by Hon since Hon set foot on this island.

And while it's nice that you think Apuron should be removed, how do you suppose that he will be removed? No one can touch him.

  14. This is so terrible that this man Apuron, accepted the Archbishop position knowing his past passion for young altar boys. I was sickened literraly by what the victims, and mother of a victim said and endured. Even when that Camacho priest was caught with his pants down. excuse the pun. The truth will eventually come out and I pray that we are united once again.

  15. My advice, for any who care to listen, is get the ball rolling. Let's move on the law opening up the way for Walter and other victims to sue not only Apuron but the whole church all the way up to Rome! Let's prosecute these offenders and be done with them. Get the upper hand now while you still can. By then it will be too late to care what this Archdiocese or Rome has to say or do. From here to Rome, our church is sick. It is making us sick and we are suffering. Forget about calling Archbishop Hon to act. He can do things however way he wants. We need to act now and do what is in our best interest physically and spiritually or the chance might pass us by.
