KIKO'S CONTROVERSIAL CATHEDRAL

Posted by Chuck White

Will Kiko Arguello's new Catholic cathedral in Northern Arabia, to be built amid growing sectarian violence in Bahrain, become a large target for violent groups in the region? Or more importantly, will the Catholic Church in Northern Arabia be known more for its cathedral than for its charity? Read more.

  1. No Tabernacle! Build it anyway, then the Neos can all move there. They will have their own Cathedral and they can return ours! While they are there they can convert the Sunni's and the Shiite's. Good luck on that one.

So Who Else Does the Cathedral Belong To? All I am seeing on the following article is that it was built by Guam's True Catholics:

This majestic structure is located on the site where the FIRST CATHOLIC CHURCH ON GUAM was constructed in 1669 under the guidance of Padre San Vitores. The present building looms above the palm trees and is a familiar landmark in downtown Agana. The original structure was demolished during WWII. Construction for the present cathedral began in 1955 and was finished in 1958. The cathedral, now a part of Guam's Register of Historic Places, was a project headed by Bishop Appolinaris Baumgartner, designed by Antonio S. Dimalanta and Built by Frank D. Perez and Perez Bros.

Do not see any other religions noted in the article helping with the building of the Guam's Mother Church. Bishop Appolinaris Baumgartner was One of the Best of All Guam Catholic Bishops!

    3. Joseph meant to say; the NEO Cult does not belong in the Cathedral Basilica...they are the reason for the very low attendance.

    7. Time to take down that NEO cult propaganda (invitation to Joy sign) at the Cathedral Basilica. It gives our church a really bad name...

  2. Typical of NCW mentality. No regard for the sensibilities of the geography they share. That constructing such monstrosity might flare up in an already turbulent and volatile network in the Middle East is not their concern. They are simply blind and deaf to the opposition around them, and the consequences that will jeopardize the Catholic Church's mission to minister to Catholic Faithful in the area.

  3. The marginalized Shia majority in Bahrain perceives that the Catholic Church is in collusion with a corrupt Sunni king and his privileged Sunni elite in the building of a new, colossal Cathedral. This is a recipe for disaster.

  4. Kiko always getting into all puddles! I have to recognize he has a special gift to gain stupid people for his causes. In Spanish we call "chulo" that kind of person who is essentially arrogant. God create them and they freely join. A "chulo" recruiting more "chulo" people. And building "chulo" projects.
In Spain some citizens stopped Kiko's project on neocatechumenal burial for neocatechumenal mummies. And he ate his arrogant attitude with potatoes, while those citizens just were common people, not extremist muslims. Kiko just had diarrhea when he noticed those citizens were able to go further than he thought. Kiko is used to be idolized from some catholic around him, so he belived he was going to throw one of his speeches and those citizens, mostly atheist, were going to converse inmediatly. And they weren't. And Kiko had to run and left his idiot mummy's neoburial. Imagine what could happen if he touches those extremist muslim's nose. He is an inconscious. And Ballin...he remains me my chatechist. Another "chulo".

  5. This should be another tool for our chelu's in Guam following the NCW. You people are not dumb, rather smart with the brains Jesus gave us all, us it and discern to follow Jesus along, rather than man. Read it here! It's the voices from the people of another country again suffering in chaos the same way we are in Guam. I don't see how the NCW could be guided by the true Holy Spirit when every footstep they take problems follow. This is not God's doing to steal.
