YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE PERFECT HON

Posted by Webster

In a recent PDN article, Hon is quoted as saying that his "actions and decisions may be far from perfect, but are motivated jointly by solidarity, goodwill, and a profound sense of the unity of the Church".

First, let's get one thing perfectly clear. It is not "may”. Hon’s actions and decisions to date ARE far from perfect.

In fact, for someone with such lofty credentials and sent personally by the Pope to clean up the mess in Guam, he has been a failure. For seven weeks now, he has dilly dallied around Guam with this Kumbaya aloof attitude expecting the people of Guam to just set aside their anger, frustrations and contempt for Apuron and his cohorts because he is now here, our savior. Without meaningful and significant changes and actions, taken immediately and decisively, something that Hon has had over a year and half to investigate, ponder, discuss, analyze, and decide in Rome, there can be no unity.

Now, let's look at the rest of what Hon said. He said that he has been motivated by "solidarity, goodwill, and a profound sense of the unity of the Church".

Solidarity with whom? Apuron and his cohorts? The Neo? The victims in Nice, France? Because it certainly has not been with the innocent and suffering victims of Apuron’s vindictiveness, crimes, fraud, malicious and defamatory attacks. Hon, you cannot have solidarity without first reaching out to those who have been unjustly maligned, displaced, destroyed, and debased.

As for Goodwill, Hon has lost whatever goodwill was generated in the beginning (by what was hoped to be his cleansing and unifying presence) by his misplaced and misguided priorities, aloofness, and lack of decisive action. When a person is badly cut and bleeding profusely, one best do something first to stop the bleeding before attending to the rest of the body.

And Unity? Without justice, repentance, and taking immediate and decisive action to correct a wrong, you cannot have reconciliation and unity, no matter how “profound” one feels.

Hon, we are not asking that you be perfect. Just do the right thing, and if you cannot figure that out, I strongly suggest you mosey on back to Rome and have the Pope send someone who can.

  1. What does this clown, Hon not understand, You cannot, cannot, cannot have unity as long as there are people who are currently hurting, being ignored, open wounds on the victims that require some attention and nursing, and binding, and stopping the bleeding.
Hon are you really that stupid, or ignorant to see what is really happening?

  3. Yes; welcome Webster. That's what a lot of us have been saying about the inactions of AB Hon. While we ARE looking for perfection in his mission to bring healing to a suffering Church, AB Hon's show of "solidarity, goodwill, and a profound sense of the unity of the Church" has been nothing more than a glorified "kumbaya" effort. (I wonder if he knows what we are trying to tell him by that description!!) I wonder if he knows what he's been missing all along, or is he just turning the other way, hoping it will all go away like a bad dream? Will he listen to our suggestion to "pack up your troubles in your old kit bag, and smile, smile, smile" your way out of this assignment? What part of the message doesn't he get? (jrsa: 7/25/16)

  4. Pretty clear message to AB Hon, Webster:

Either stop dilly dallying around Guam or mosey on back to Rome.

  5. ABH would need to make our Church whole again. We want our Church back! Rid all Churches of all prebysters. Gut the chancery of all Neo staff and sympathizers. Then the wind will be on your back on your journey to unity.

NCW should build their on places of worship and stop calling themselves Catholics!

  6. How childish. An archbishop snivels about not being perfect. Duh. The "nobody's perfect" cliche is a silly, immature hiding place when one has run out of intellect. How pathetic that this is the man the pope has sent to save us from on the true monsters of the episcopacy. Rise up laity.

    1. Yes, Hon is hiding behind the cliche "nobody's perfect", AND he is buying time hoping that the non-Neo clergy will quell the laity uprising. Sneaky guy that Hon. The Guam Katolikos are being played for fools once again. Pope Francis, please yank the Neo sympathizer Hon out of here and send us a real shepherd not beholding to the NCW.

    2. Basically an excuse of his ineptness to resolve our crisis, it is well over his head. I wish he would just be up front, admit that he doesn't know how to resolve it, and go back to Rome. Even the most simple of actions, to extend compassion to potential victims, he cannot do. I expect this from Church leaders following in the footsteps of Christ. The lack of compassion is very typical of NEO followers, Which I am inclined to believe, Hon is a walking member, right Brother Savio.

  7. Remember the United States coming to Guam and taking our properties, now we have the NEO'S invading our church and taking our properties. It includes Hon who is facilitating this process. We must stand up for our church. It is the faith we were raised with. Hon go home.

  8. Philippine President Duterte said a few months ago that the Catholic bishops/priests have become irrelevant. He probably said that after meeting the likes of Hon who has not done anything relevant to solving the major reasons for the division in the Archdiocese of Agana.
BTW, does Pope Francis know what his "representative" has done or failed to do and that Hon's ineptness reflects back on the Pope?
