WHATEVER HAPPENED TO HOWARD BAKER?

Posted by Bob, aka Robert Klitzkie

Sen. Howard Henry Baker Jr., the leading Republican on the committee investigating the Watergate scandal surrounding President Nixon, asked the seminal question at the hearings: "What did the president know and when did he know it?"

When the answers to those questions became apparent, it led to Nixon's resignation.  Had he not resigned, Nixon would undoubtedly been impeached.

Kinda sounds familiar, doesn't it?
We can go the late Senator Baker one better:
  • What did Apuron know?
  • When did he know it?
  • Who else knew?
How about this question: How long will it be before someone posts a comment as "Sherlock Holmes?"

    1. Anonymous at 8:38 PM, I'm no longer satisfied with the prospect of Anthony Sablan Apuron resigning. If Apuron resigns, he will be afforded the honor of being buried in the Sanctuary of the Cathedral-Basilica next to +Bishops Olano and Baumgartner+ and +Archbishop Flores+ when he dies. I would much prefer that he be LAICIZED so that there will be NO WAY for him to be in the Sanctuary of our Mother Church!

Even as new signs are added to our Sunday Morning picket line, I will continue to wheel my DEFROCK APURON sign around — I might be wheeling that sign around in vain, but I will do so as long as it takes!!

  5. Bibi knows all. And he knows who else knows. Now, we add Hon. What does he know and when did he know about it?

  6. When is Archbishop Hon going to recall all the incardinated presbyters supported by our archdiocese spread all over the world and make them serve Guam and follow all their statutes?

    1. Hon, the personal representative of the Pope, with "sede plana" authority cannot make all the priests of the Archdiocese of Agana inform him of their whereabouts? That's BS and we all know it. Anyway, to help Hon do his job, apuron was just recently seen at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles.

    2. How long have they not known of Apuron's whereabouts. In normal case, that would be abandonment and subject to dismissal/removal. Altho, you are right, that is a lot of BS. They should know. Hon, with a straight face, says he doesn't know. Does he want to know?

  7. And unlike Nixon, we want Apuron defrocked and jailed.

  8. I think it is safe to say that a lot of people have known about the sex abuses on Guam, particulary those done by the Clergy. Aside from all the usual questions, the final question should be: what are those who know going to do about it?

  9. I suppose the parties that knew and continued to rationalize it away from their moral responsibilities can prepare to answer to God why they allowed our children to be used so despicably. Or you can begin to assist in restoring truth, justice and respect to a catholic community in need of deep purging.
Also, I am not so confident that clergy buried at the Basillica is without blemish of celebacy. This sexual abuse scandal needed to be exposed, those unfaithful to their vows then and now deserve the expose'. God has the final judgement, but we as a catholic community have obligations to uphold and obey His Commandments; and none of it says pleasure yourself at the expense of innocent children under the guise of representing God.....
