IF YOU COME TO A FORK IN THE ROAD, TAKE IT.

Posted by Bob
Catholics (no initial adjective required) don't take liberties with the liturgy, do want priests not presbyters in their parishes, abhor the gratis alienation of the patrimony of the church, will strive to recover the property that was given away, have no tolerance for a bishop who was mean to his priests, abhor child molesters and will go to some lengths to help victims of child molesters seek justice. Catholics adhere to a church hierarchy that starts with a parish priest and ascends to the Pope in Rome.

Within the last 20 years that church of thousands has been hijacked by a couple dozen people, e.g. apuron, who put the church into the crisis we find ourselves in now. AB Byrnes is now in charge of the diocese and with it the crisis. So far AB Byrnes has not given much comfort to the Catholics with remarks like:

When asked about the Neocatechumenal Way and his familiarity with the issues here Bishop Byrnes responded “I have some familiarity, not close, I’ve never been part of the Neocatechumenal Way. The reputation is good, ...

...Bishop Byrnes said. He added that he is aware of some of the issues here on Guam, but the first thing he will do when he gets here is meet and listen and hear both sides, “I don’t want to come with any preconceived notions on how I will handle this, until I see the situation for myself and that’s the only way for me to get a grasp of it, “ he told KUAM News.

Another issue Byrnes will like have to address is the controversial ownership and leadership within the Neocatechumenal Way and the property in the middle of that controversy: the Redemptoris Mater Seminary.
At this point, Byrnes says it's too early to form an opinion or to "take sides.""To listen; that’s the first plan. My main expertise is the scripture and the constant direction of the scripture is to listen to both sides before you judge; the limited knowledge. I know right now is there seems to be a taking of sides....
There aren't two sides.  There's the Catholic Church and the hijackers.  The kind of equivocating "listen to both sides" approach won't work if AB Byrnes sees the hijackers as a side. AB Burns needs to take charge and take prompt action.

Let's urge AB Byrnes to go with the Catholics and not the hijackers. See you on the picket line tomorrow.

  2. Bob,
Your point well taken, Would one listen to a group, (NCW) whose action clearly resulted in division in the church? Covers up sexual abuse crimes and makes perpetrators disappear to avoid prosecution? A group who goes against the Magisterium in terms of defining their separate liturgy, introduces heretical doctrines, recognizes themselves as the elect, and chosen ones, where as everyone outside their sect is lost to perdition? A group who cunningly devices alienation of major church asset to itself and performs juggling acts of property title to hide their devious acts? AB Michael better get in gear to educate himself as to the nature of this NCW cult. I am sure his opinion will change as to the good reputation of this cult once he samples the fruit.

  3. Good to still picket until Apuron's title removed.
However, let's not attack Archbishop Michael Just yet. I am a bitter critique of Apuron but I also have confidence in Archbishop Michael. So Lets meet greet listen to him fairly Justly first.

    1. No. It's AB Michel who needs to listen to us. The only reason he is here is US.

    3. Let me explain.

But for this blog and eventually the public demonstrations, Apuron would still be here, Adrian would be in line to be the next bishop, no secretly recorded document giving the Yona property away would have been discovered, RMS priests would have been well on their way to taking over and destroying every parish, Roy, Walter, and Roland and who knows how many more sex abuse victims would still be suffering in silence with no hope of justice, and the Archdiocese of Agana would have collapsed into Neo rule with Pius triumphant.

There is a reason AB Byrnes is on his way to Guam, and it sure as hell isn't for a vacation. It is ABSOLUTELY because of what we exposed and hammered on over and over and over for three solid years.

We almost lost everything when Hon arrived, thinking that Rome really knew what it was doing. If nothing else, my expose of Bishop Arrieta should show that it sure as hell doesn't...or maybe it does. Maybe Kiko has made more inroads than we thought.

That said, I will "trust" AB Byrnes to do the right thing. I will "trust" but VERIFY. We can let AB Byrnes do his job without backing down. The picket MUST continue as will this blog....with all the world watching!

    4. Fr. Jeff is on retreat. Coincidence (?) Word was (before we heard about AB Byrnes) that Jeff had gone to Detroit. It turned out that he didn't. But the name "Detroit" was buzzing for a couple days. Then: the announcement.

    5. Tim, just stop being soooooooooo polite, but you're right...

THIS BISHOP CAN NOT WASTE TIME ON A FACT FINDING MISSION...
EVERY article written regarding the new assignment of Bishop Michael Jude Byrnes states...

HE WILL "immediately assume all responsibilities" or that Pope Francis gave Byrnes "special rights to carry out all the duties as archbishop effective immediately"... EVERY ARTICLE...

AS far as I'm concerned "effective immediately" left the station days ago, if he is still in Detroit, he better enroll in long distant learning, he'll be tested when he arrives as to WHO is "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly", ugly is free right adrian...

    6. Tim, thanks for explaining Fr. Jeff's sudden disappearance. I was worried he was ill or had a nervous breakdown.

  4. Just wondering, If the investigative committee found the RMS seminary to be deficient in most aspects of its formation program, and recommends it being shut down, Has Hon taken any action to the recommendations based on the committee findings? Can someone who is familiar with this provide inquiring minds some update?

    1. Why just suspend their activity, We have proven in this blog that this cult is Divisive, Heretical, Disobedient, Prideful, Covers up crime, extorts money, steals land, is not Catholic. Defrock Apuron, Adrian, Quitugua, Alberto, and rid the island of the NCW. Others in the world will follow suit.

  6. Hon is a lame duck, now he has reneged his duties in deference to the new coadjutor bishop. Easy excuse to avoid responsibility, if you ask me. Where was the "Rome sent me..." line?

  8. Dear Bob,

In your view, can a man be both priest for his assigned parish and presbyter for his assigned Neo-community?

    2. Dear Anonymous,

No. It is a real question, the answer to which may have implications for the future.

    3. It won't work!!! The priest in my parish is in the NCW, his actions show that he is not interested in the true Catholic faith. His main priority is the NCW, the parish is of secondary interest. He tries his best to push the NCW in the parish but only a small number have joined (and some have left the NCW after a few years). Meanwhile the NCW is being forced down our throats, he has even resorted to bending the truth (sometimes during mass) to convince parishioners to join. This type of parish leadership in not acceptable and should not be allowed.

    4. 2:14 PM, please identify your parish so we can rat this presbyter out. We need to shame him unfortunately so he can toe the line and get on with the archdiocesan program of rectifying the mistakes of the past.

    5. Can a man be both the archbishop of an archdiocese and a brother in a Neo-community in that archdiocese?

  9. In 2004, I had a very long conversation with one of the priest-professors at RMS. In the end, he admitted to be that the NCW believes that parish-based Catholicism is dead and that the future of the Church is Kiko's neocat community model. This belief lines up with everything we have been able to discover from Kiko's secret teachings - which are otherwise disguised as a Catechetical Directory.

Whether individual neocat presbyters initially take action to undo the parish and break it into communities doesn't matter. The fact is they are trained to believe that this is their mission in the end.

Also, a neocat presybter who consistently and persistently violates the norms for the celebration of the liturgy (i.e. the communion rite) in his celebration with the neocat communities, is a priest who obeys a different magisterium and thus subscribes to a different church. We cannot permit such a priest to pastor a parish.

    1. Yes and yes! This is the entire crux of the issue. The NCW intends and practices a "different communion". Think about it.

  10. In response to my question above, three responses go in the direction of "No, a man cannot be both presbyter and priest." If these responses are representative of most Catholics on Guam, in their eyes at the very least, there are two possibilities for the future: Either the Neo-Catechumemnal communities stay on Guam, forming their own churches with their own presbyters, or the Neo-Catechumemnal communities must emigrate elsewhere. Actually, there is a third possibility, though a rather unlikely one, that the Neo-Catechumemnal members disband from their communities and join a parish or another church.

    1. NO worries. We will all be joining up with ALPHA AB Byrnes FAV.

    2. The only possible solution for the Neo-Catechumemnal members world-wide is to form their own "church".

    4. bishops for kiko...

Over one hundred (100) rms seminaries have opened in the past 28 years, that's 3.5 seminaries a year. I'm sure more will open, just like I'm sure the diocesan bishops are so proud to provide the ncw all the ordained presbyters WHO preach and practice the "kiko" theology...

I am sure "kiko" is also very appreciative to all the bishops that contribute to the ncw and are permitting neo communities to celebrate in the fullness of the SACRAMENT OF THE EUCHARIST...

      Dear Eileen,

We do not hide how we celebrate the Mass in small communities. We have always be truthful about how we celebrate it. First of all, there is no such thing as a "Neo presbyter." I call them RMS priests only because they were formed in the Redemptoris Mater Seminary. They are diocesan priests.

In Holy Communion, we receive the Body of Christ standing up. We do not consume His Body immediately. We are to hold His Body in our hands close to our hearts with adoration. After everyone has received the Body of Christ, the priest proceeds with "Behold, the Body of Christ......" And we respond with "Lord, I am not worthy to receive you......" All the words are the same as it is in the regular Mass. But we consume the Body of Christ together with the priest. And yes, we consume His Body sitting down.
