APURON HAS COMPANY

31 comments:

  1. My prayers to Melvin Duenas and all the Duenas family for the years of suffering and mental anxiety they have endured.

In 1998 i reported this man to the then Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Patrick Covney. I am not at all surprized by the tragic news that we read in our papers this morning concerning Bishop Tomas Camacho.

Thankyou. I shared my insights into this tragic case with PDN this morning.
I hope that my comments will be helpful to the Media and to the entire region as we work together to bring healing to victims.
My special thanks to Kuam News for the coverage to the PDN to Tim Rohr to David Lujan and to all who are working for the healing of victims.
Bishop Ryan has asked us all to make a Holy Hour this Friday evening. In a spirit of prayer I join you all as we continue to reflect on the tragic news of Saipans First Bishop Tomas A.Camacho.

    2. I think we should add this reference to Bishop Tomas A. Camacho from now on: Bishop Tomas A. Camacho, uncle of Licking Luis Camacho.

  3. Either the Church doesn't give a damn about the islands, or this ugly problem just seems big in our small population. How can anyone feel confident in the ministry of priest. All are not trustworthy because of association. And remaining silent. What will society be like with deadened faith? "Fathers" , any answer? Hmmm, just what I thought. No answer. Lives ruined, lived in torture and passed on to kids . Jesus, we've messed up your Church.

    1. I don't know about you, but my faith and confidence in not in priests, bishops, or popes. Only in Jesus.

    2. Evil (in our Church) thrives when good men (priests/nuns) do nothing.
      (comments in parentheses are mine).

    4. Sad, but true. Nothing has changed. That's why Guam was stuck with an incompetent like Byrnes. Rome doesn't want anything cleaned up there.

  4. So, now we find out even the Papal Nuncio at the time (Patrick Covney) knew but did nothing! What about Krebs? What has he known, and what has he been doing if anything, all this time he has been the Papal Nuncio for this area?
Maybe $5 million per lawsuit is not enough to really clean house (the House of God)!

    1. Krebs was not assigned to Oceania until May 2013. And since then he has been VERY busy. However, nuncios do not have administrative authority. They are pretty much just messengers or delegates. Only the POPE has authority over a bishop and even that is limited. It's up to US, the laity.

  6. Father Thomas Camacho incardinated into Diocese of Agana. Between 1971 to 74 a priest of Agana. This incident took place in inarajan Guam. So archdiocese of Agana is responsible not Diocese of Chalan Kanoa. However, how unearth did he become bishop of Cnmi?

    1. Politics, its that simple. Everyone was agog about having "local" bishops which eventually resulted in everyone getting the ride of their lives. It is a profound lesson learned when we blunder by eschewing professional capability in favor of local pride. Sadly, there is none of yet among the local clergy who can fit the bill of "Archbishop" or any lofty leadership role to sufficient satisfaction.

    2. I believe Msgr. Benavente would make a good bishop for Guam.

    5. Trust but verify. Bewitching charm has its limitation, akin to the ending of magic at midnight leaving only a glass slipper as a smoking, well, foot accessory. Longevity, consistency and sincerity will serve this Archdiocese better than momentary infatuation or last resort. Yes, be careful what you ask for - you will get it exactly. If we should have learned something basic in this crisis, it is that appearances can be tricky dangerous.

    1. Remember the Divine Praises at Benediction: "Blessed be God in His angels and in His saints". Following Jesus only is Protestant heresy.

The angels and saints, notably SS. Mary and Joseph, are direct reflections of the Triune God. Jesus' human nature came from Mary.

    1. Abp. Covney is probably living like a prince in Cork.

The corrupt and extremely wealthy Catholic Church in Ireland was destroyed by pedophile priests and religious who were enabled by criminally negligent bishops. Unspeakable brutality, including child homicides, occurred there through the 1990's.

Satanic Irish Province religious sent to Australia starting in the 19th Century are also the cause of epic scandals and coverups in schools and orphanages there.

  10. Decade ago Bishop Camacho revealed he had stage four lung cancer. That was the same time Melvin visited Saipan to meet with him. Interesting.

  11. Stage 4, 10 years ago, and he's still alive?

  12. I would like to ask Monsignor BiBi Arroyo exactly what he knew regarding his friend Father Tomas A. Camacho. After all they were one big happy swinging family travelling the world having long vacations Heritage Hotel. They even visted me in London as they swang through Europe. So Dont tell me they knew nothing. What exacly did he know? And if he knew Bibi Arroyo in conscience to the Church should have opposed his ordination as bishop of the CNMI. we have to show who knew what where and when. Bibi Arroyo laughed in my face when his beloved Tommy Camacho sent me out the Diocese. So come on.Monsignor dont be two faced tell us what you know about Camacho.
