ARCHBISHOP JIMENEZ INCARDINATES MSGR. RUBEN ESPENO

The following was received from an anonymous contributor:

One might want to ask why the Archbishop selectively picks and chooses which incardinated priests are published by way of an Aviso.  There have been several priests incardinated that he did not publish. He had them incardinated without an Aviso. He did it quietly. Even the priests in Guam were not informed of the incardination.

What is he hiding? And why do it quietly? Just ask the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa, where he incardinated priests from the Philippines and no one knew till he left Saipan for Guam. The entire diocese was shocked by the revelation.

They only learned about it when he brought the priest to Saipan and introduced him to Bishop Convocar. And guess what? The priest had no intention of serving in Saipan. He departed Saipan with Archbishop Jimenez.

  1. Has not the Msgr. been here for years now and already given official positions. Is this in reverse?

    2. I think that you are thinking of somebody else. Msgr Ruben is not strange at all. He's not the one who was incardinated in Saipan. Msgr. Ruben was formerly in the military ordinariate of the Philippines and served in Dededo.

  2. Msgr Ruben was serving on Guam several years (at least 3) before Archbishop Ryan got here.
