THAT FULL TWO-PAGE CENTERFOLD SPREAD IN THE UMATUNA TODAY...

...explaining and justifying the "appeal" is a complete admission that not only is the chancery reading JungleWatch, they believe many others are too. Of course we knew that. We'll be commenting on it soon. Ya'l come back now, hear?

  1. I read that this morning and noticed the dwindling of funds each year. I will predict that it will dwindle more. It states that you are no obligated to give. There was also the mention of the assessments. I am still wondering though how the money collection if their goal is not met will still affect the parishes.

This morning's mass at the Cathedral during the announcement stated the a portion will be given to Kamelin karidat and Catholic Social Services. Did I miss reading this? I just love how he thanked the Capuchins and the Jesuits serving the diocese. Does this mean there will be a moving out of these orders from the island?

    1. I caught the ending part of the Archbishop's Mass on the tele. The announcement regarding the CSS and KCC was from a special collection done in the parish.

I didn't hear the thank you to the Capuchins and Jesuits priest, but I highly doubt he would be giving them discharge papers. As the Local Ordinary he is within his authority to dismiss them from the parishes, but he knows full well that the people will be outside San Ramon with pitchforks and torches interrupting his Sunday night pizza parties with his neo brothers. He knows better than to blatantly do this to the people. He knows the regular laity are more aware thanks to this blog, so he has to tread lightly.

  2. I was at the cathedral mass this morning. The announcement was that during Lent a collection will be taken up during all weekday masses. Normally they don't take up collections during the weekday masses. They did this last year during Lent. The announcement today said that they used the proceeds of the amount raised during the Lenten weekday masses last year to donate to Kamalin Karidat and Catholic Social Services. But last year they also said part of the collection amount was used to help a patient who needed kidney treatment. They didn't mention that today.

  3. Stop the money the archbishop has fooled all of you for twenty years. Wake up Guam.

  4. No one can believe what the Archbishop and his advisors have to say. Everyone knows Guam has one seminary and that's RMS. The so called "John Paul II seminary" is nothing but a sleeping area for that one seminarian. Junee is still attending classes at the Neo seminary, there fore he is being formed in the Neocatechumenal Way. They only came up with this facade of a new seminary to appease the people. And why did they have to tell us the Capuchins are another religious order? We know that. And we also know that when we donate to the Capuchins, we know where our money is going. If we donate to the Carmelite Sisters in Tamuning, we know they will use our money for their needs. We also know that if we give to the Archdiocesan Appeal, our money will go towards the Neos and their expenses, their airfare, the luxury of Pius Summit, Kiko Arguello and that couple in New Jersey. Stop lying to the people of Guam brother Tony. If the Archdiocese can afford to spend all this money on foreigners to come to Guam to be "priests", then the Archdiocese should be able to send our local men to accredited seminaries. Enough with the lying already!

    2. Old Man, why is 8:03 AM twisted? This Archbishop has lied and lied and the truth has finally shown itself. Now that people are calling him on it, they are twisted? You bring no evidence to the table but your malicious hate for what is true. We are not stupid heads. Just because the lie is printed doesn't wash it to become truth!

I think you need to read the fine line. By the way, it's Chinese and not "Chinesse". Use your spell check pot fabot, you are further embarrassing yourself and your neo brethren.

    3. I did not know this is a spelling be contest, it's printed and yet you still reject it. How dare you! Who are you to question it. Lied? Put it out, did you work in the Archdiocese to support your claim, evidently your nothing but a nut hugger. There is no hate on my statement above, it hit the nerve what I have mentioned so that means it's true that your nut hugging the bandwagon. This incomparisson to LUTHER.

    4. That's funny. OLD MAN tries to frighten us by waving around his stripes (all those letters after his name( but doesn't have the "nuts" *his word) to put his name on his comments. But then we are used to that. P.S. I keep thinking I should just delete these inane comments but they seem to be driving up my pageviews, so have at it. Thanks.

    5. A real "Man" does not wave his titles around demanding respect. His actions and deeds are enough. OLD MAN from Santa Rita, you should stop acting like a child.

    6. In fact, I think we can find out who this is pretty quickly. Who knows an "old man" from Santa Rita who was in: USMC/ LAPD/FBI and GPD

    7. Old man from Santa Rita, is a broken record....always using poor argumentation, upon his argument being refuted, he then uses insults and disparaging remarks.
Hardly the values instilled at the USMC.
While I respect the LAPD/FBI members dedication to fighting crimes; it is a well established fact the many black sheep in their ranks, have tarnish their luster.
May be Old Man like the transvestite's habit of his former director.
FBI and LAPD have for many years cover up for their black sheep, a little bit like our own church in the past.
This is why all these organizations have put in place safeguards to prevent such abuses.
Except for our Archbishop and his cohorts of neos.
Probably a clue as to why Old Man is so comfortable wading in that mud.
One thing about mud, it is very slippery....careful Old Man

    8. Someone else from another comment suggested that Ivan Babauta was jammin' in the jungle. I don't know him personally, but from his asinine comments I have had a few chuckles.

Old Man Ivan brings all his credentials to throw down anonymously and still cannot produce any document to substantiate his neo baloney. He is just another puppet with his strings being pulled left and right - with no logical thought or consequence. He is just another mouth piece blaring on and on without end.

Mr Old Man Ivan, if being a "nut-hugger" means I am a not a Neo like you, then thank you kindly for the compliment!

    9. Finally old man, I guess you should be glad it is not a spelling contest.
"Your" does not mean you are, or you're.
Let's not talk about your syntax. You start phrases without context and/or in the wrong tense. Punctuation is non existent or totally inappropriate.
      In comparison is not incomparisson.
It takes so much time to translate your babbling into English, and to see through the hate and lies (that you cannot even discern); so many of us cannot take you even half seriously.
Frankly should I have had to read your reports in the fine organizations you claimed to have belonged to, you would not have gone far, in your career.
So, again, and with respect, I would recommend a good psychologist. Once you have taken care of your own demons, you could go and see Sr Concepta, of the Sisters of Mercy (retired), she used to teach kindergarden, she might be able to teach you how to behave properly, as she has done for countless generations of Chamorros.( I hear she is quite active despite her advanced age, that should upset Diana)

    10. Dear R Camacho, thank you for input.
May I suggest without going out on a limb, that the fascination expressed by Old man from Santa Rita with nut hugging, might have its source in a very deep and troubled Freudian relation with his own sexual demons. Lets pray that time, age and kindness will free him from this obvious pain.

    2. Old man/Ivan Babauta? Is that the same man who is the actual siamese twin to Msgr David, joined at the hips? The two have never been separated. He is not a very good spokesperson for the Neo...has Msgr David authorized his jungle expeditions? I guess all his USMC/LAPD/FBI/GPD/RCMP/CIA/XYZ training makes Ivan think he can conquer the jungle. Good try Captain, but you best stay out before the fighting gets more than you can handle. This is an intellectual and ethical and financial battle, and you haven't got the right weapons. Sorry :-(
Now leave the jungle and go Semper fi to Kiko!

    3. You are not winning. While you are blogging, many NCW communities are being made. Rome knows what we are doing and.how we are doing it. We made the changes they requested. I am sure they have observers who watch. If it was such a problem we should be done and over with. Fron what it seems, you doubt Rome, you doubt the Pope. You doubt basically. See to believe? Reminds me of somebody.

  9. re: Anonymous 4:56AM: Not entirely sure, but isn't that post considered the sin of detraction? I'm all for getting to the truth at hand but I don't think the above revelation belongs here. That being said, I pray that the authorities in Rome will look into all these complaints and allegations. Something has to be done to end this scandal involving our Catholic Church on the island!

    1. In response to your concern I deleted the link and will repost the comment here. The concern is still a concern. Ms. Terlaje's name need not be redacted since she is in the business of representing clients and the case is a matter of public record.

I was doing a google of Jackie Terlaje and came upon an interesting item that may help Fr Paul’s case, and could make life uncomfortable for Msgr David and the Archbishop.
Jackie has represented her community member XXX on several matters re divorce. If you go to para 11 of the document link below, you will see that XXX, aka XXX, has had a few messy divorces.
      (link removed)
As para 11 shows XXX is apparently known for extreme fits of rage and anger. An Order for Protection was granted to his 2nd wife in 2006. XXX regrettably suffers from XXXX. What may be interesting is that XXX does everything for Msgr David, similar to the former Santa Barbara employee doing things for Fr Paul. XXX is an integral member of the Neo organization, thereby putting at great risk all those in his community, and those who attend Church/Neo sponsored functions in which XXX has an active participation in.
While he may not be on the Sex Offenders Registry, he presents a possible risk to the people in our Church. While we should never bar people from attending mass, who should be allowed to volunteer their services may be worth pursuing. Msgr David and Arch have said that any activity by the former employee at Santa Barbara is dangerous to the Church, yet they allow this other potentially explosive person to work among their own ranks. It might be interesting if we knew whether or not he has a family violence record/conviction, but at least the court was concerned enough to issue an Order for Protection.
Food for thought on how this might affect Fr Paul in his appeal to Rome.

  10. This archdiocese’s 2-page Q&A attempt to rationalize and validate this year’s appeal, as well as it’s attempt to explain where monies are also allocated are futile, feeble attempts. This congregation has observed neo activities and movement enough that an average-intelligence individual would know that such activities require having a hefty coffer to be able to support and afford it. There must be quite a bit of “creative/deceptive accounting” going on at the expense of non-neo parishioners

  11. UPDATE to the Anonymous comments of March 2, 2014 at 4:23 PM, 6:37 PM and 7:08 PM which indicated that there was an announcement made at the Cathedral regarding the collections that will be taken during the weekday Lenten Masses:

    • Per the Cathedral bulletin from the Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time, “During the season of Lent, the parish will be taking up a collection … Alms collected during the week will benefit the ARCHDIOCESE OF AGANA’S ANNUAL APPEAL, Kamalen Karidat, and the parish. …”

    • Per the announcement made at the 9:30 AM Mass of the Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time presided by the Archbishop: “During the season of Lent the parish will be taking up a collection during the weekday Masses as a gesture of almsgiving. The collection of alms is not obligatory; however everyone is encouraged to consider this important sacrificial offering during the season of Lent to the need of the Church and the parish community. Last year we collected $7,743.73. The benefactors of last year’s sacrificial offering were Kamalen Karidat and Catholic Social Services.”

    • It is interesting to note that (1) the written bulletin included the AAA as one of the benefactors of the daily collection and (2) the televised announcement made no mention of any benefactors.
