AAA REPORT CARD

Another way to look at it is as a report card.

  1. Tim are you basing these letter grades according to DOE standards or the Catholic School,Standards.

    DOE 90-100 A. 80-89 B. 70-79 C. 60-69 D. 59 and below F

    Catholic School Standards. 93-100 A. 85-92. B. 78- 84 C. 70- 77 D 69 and below is F

I think you need to change the letter grades and follow the grading system of the Catholic Schools as noted.

  2. Anonymous (June 22, 2014 at 2:26 PM), you raise an excellent point. Since the Archdiocesan Annual Appeal is a Catholic initiative, it makes sense to use the grading system used in the Catholic Schools!

I second your suggestion to change the letter grade to those consistent with those used by Guam's Catholic Schools.

On the listings of entries for donors, shouldn't there be a few more?
      The Neo-Parish of Trash Bags - $0
      The Neo-Parish of Yigo - $0
      The Neo-Parish of Asan - $0
      The Neo-Parish of Barrigada - $0
      The Neo-Parish of Tamuning - $0
      The Neo-Parish of Etc - $0

Seems like they are very good at holding the hands out, but not so good in pulling their wallets out. They must be saving up for their second scrutiny called the "Let's Make the Archbishop and Kiko Rich Fund".

Either way you look at it the AAA was a total FFF!

  4. If the archbishop submitted his report card to Rome, he would be expelled. Based on the above, his average grade is F.

  5. I agree with the above, but with due respect to the grading system at RMS we'll cut the parishes some slack too. :)

  6. oh...then all the parishes scored an A+, in the Summa Cum Laude range. lol.

    1. @8:34PM. Actually when a teacher looks at these grades then she/he knows that the lesson was not properly mastered. More than 1/2 of the parishes flunked. Then our so called teacher is,too busy with other lessons.....FLYING LESSONS!

    2. Very true. If the student has not learned, the teacher has not taught. A little different slant which makes the teacher the one at fault.

Interesting comment by Anon 9:56PM about flying lessons.

Reminds me of a saying of "fight or flight." When leaders are faced with challenges true leaders fight for what is right. We can look at Tim Rohr as a fighter, who sees injustice and fights to correct it. Many commentors to this blog also fight for what they believe is right.

Then we can look at our Archbishop and his general command. They act more like urban terrorists or guerrilla warriors. They attack when least expected. Fr Paul and Aaron, and countless others can attest to this reality. After the initial attack they quickly go underground. Rather than fight, they choose flight.

After their surprise edicts, they quickly and cowardly hide underground until all seems quiet. Then they pop back up from the underworld as if nothing had ever happened. We have seem this time and again in how they react to problems.

But this is not a war between two opposing sides, or at least it should not be. This is more like a civil war, a battle between Catholics who have very differing ideas on how things should be run. We have 400 years of history on Guam and we have a fairly good idea of how our faith is carried out. And on the other side, we have a foreign invasion, coming to our shores.

They say they want to bring back Catholics who have strayed from the Church. There is no problem with that, Catholics stray throughout the world. To truly be Catholic is no easy task. But then, instead of focusing on those who have strayed, they start a process of reorientation as to what they believe the Catholic faith should be. The fact that Spain has different practices than Guam is all well and good. But they then assume they can teach the people of Guam how to be just like them and that will magically make us better.

And if that wasn't bad enough, they begin to introduce some pretty crazy notions of Catholicism, many of which are really the notions of one person, and not the Church. Some of these teachings are not even in accord with Rome, but they continue to teach their heretical form of faith.

What is ultimately tragic is that they have converted the entire hierarchy of Guam. Our Archbishop is no longer the spiritual leader of Catholics on Guam, but only the foreign invaders titular head. He is just like General Benedict Arnold of the Revolutionary War, which is why I have referred to him as Benedict Apuron. He has stacked his general command to all who pledge allegiance to Kiko rather than Pope Francis.

And then, when the fighting erupts, rather than try and defend their position, they cower from this and let all their ill prepared minions do their fighting for them.

Archbishop, real leaders take a stand, they explain why they have taken their stand, and they defend themselves. You are no leader, but sadly just one of kiko's puppets.

When the choice came to fight or flight, you chose the cowards way out. And where are you now? Off-island once again. And where are your general commanders? Silent.

The true Catholics of Guam respect and beg for real leaders. Defend your position, or get the heck out permanently. Go on mission somewhere and allow Rome to replace our hierarchy with true leaders!

Didn't Saint Paul say somewhere (2 Cor 11:3-15) not to believe in some strange "new" teaching, apart from the Gospel that was handed to us?
And isn't what they are really meaning when wanting to go back to third century Christianity, is that Jesus is a liar? (" I will be with you until the end of the age")
I mean really, the church was apostate until kiko and his cronies came on the scene? cut the CRAP!!! they are angels? Lets get one thing straight, humans can never be angels or vice-versa.
What kikokuku is really saying is that he controls the holy spirit! get a grip pal! you need more than a psychiatrist. and so does anyone else drinking the kikokoolaid.

LOL. Anon 12:57PM is right. Very true about Fr Pius. But as long as we continue to pay him I guess he feels a need to do something!
Too bad it just isn't something productive to the active Catholics on Guam.

"You after Harold for a boyfriend." I'll have to admit that boy Harold does have good looks. But his machismo attitude and mean disposition make him a candidate for "Most likely to beat his wife". I'm going to have to pass on Harold. I wish the Archbishop would as well!

    10. 4:04 PM Father Pius doesn't need new under wears or even needs to wash! He can air and wear them! Donate your small penny pinching salary to the seminarians Father Pius!

    11. It is really a big fat shame that DEACON HAROLD has displayed some behaviors which have led some people to disrespect him so. Insults, criticisms, while not admirable, are most likely based on something. Archbishop, fr. Pablo, check it out. He is already a member of our clergy! This is a grave responsibility the Church has entrusted to you.

  7. Finally, there is some money! So I'm guessing now we can pay for the seminary education of our LOCAL seminarian, Aaron Quitugua, at a regular diocesan seminary (Maloloj Seminary does not count)!

    1. I was being facetious. It seems that everyone who comes of the RMS in Yona does so with highest honors, regardless of their grades. So, as Tim commented, let's cut the parishes some slack and give them all highest honors!

  10. It really is so unfair that Toto got an "F". I remember Deacon Claros announcing that he was looking for volunteers to help him go around the village to collect for the AAA. He announced it one Sunday morning during the Lenten season. Tsk, tsk, tsk! You didn't do your job Deacon Claros and to think you are heading the AAA.

A fitting double meaning, "AAA is a failure"
Archdiocesan Annual Appeal is a failure AND
Archbishop Anthony Apuron is a failure.

Rome - we may be small but you really need to do something about the problems on Guam. People are growing increasingly upset that such problems are not being addressed by any body.

Rome - if the behavior of the Archbishop is acceptable to you then speak up and tell us so. At least then we can shut up and anxiously await his retirement in 2019. If what we say is true, and this behavior from a successor of Peter is unacceptable, then the time is now to act and replace the problem.

If nothing else, at least get the Apostolic Nuncio to come and visit Guam to be able to see for himself. I guarantee that when he is here plenty of Anons will gladly meet him face to face, with real names and real problems. Then Archbishop Krebbs can determine for himself if action is required.

    Help us ROME!
