    1. Hi Tim, Good to hear you are taking preventative measures to secure your site.

Just a simple comment on the network web server. Sounds like your domain/blog is being flooded for what is called a DOS (denial of service) attack and I am sure there are other attacks probably being formulated to cripple or take down your site.

I am sure this is not the first time for these types of attempts.. Yes, a good alpha/numeric verification is good to prevent botnets and other flooding attacks. Not sure if your domain server/service ISP can help start to blacklist those IP addresses where these attacks are coming from. Verification is good but people will be suspicious because even with verification, people can be intimidated by this and at the same time, feel they are being "tracked". You've already shown how they can be pinned by public IP and machine type but not to the level of the actual device's MAC (kind of like a device's social security number).

If you feel you would like me to comment regarding security hardening, I can help (anonymously of course) with this psuedo name. Peace and keep up the great work.

    1. Anonymous (October 5, 2014 at 9:45 PM), you have the option of having the code numbers dictated to you. I submitted a comment and was pleased that the numerals were large enough to see. The numerals for that second comment were blurry and small, so I clicked on the sound icon and was able to enter the numerals as they were dictated.

      Good luck!
