JUST AS WE THOUGHT

A new deadline for the Deacon, and of course AFTER the visitors from Rome leave. But this is also because this blew up in Apuron's face over the weekend. He did not expect Deacon Martinez to accept his censure. He expected him to cower and to crawl. He didn't and he won't. You see, unlike Apuron, Deacon Martinez is not a coward nor a bully. By the way, expect Apuron to bring in reinforcements. The kiko's are not about to lose Guam without a fight. Well, they'll get one.

December 22, 2014

Subsequent to my defacto censure at close of business December 18 I received a second letter from Archbishop Anthony after close of business December 19 that I am no longer under censure, and my faculties have been restored. I gladly welcome the opportunity to continue serving the people of Guam. However, a second warning was given by the Archbishop demanding an end to my relationship with Concerned Catholics Of Guam. While still under the threat of censure, a new deadline was set for January 19, 2015.

There are many questions that still need to be answered regarding the correct application of Canon Law and due process. Unfortunately, the Archbishop has forbidden me from sharing his letters relative to the censure to any person, which impedes my canonical right to proper counsel and advice. I have relayed to the Archbishop my grave concerns of due process, and also my willingness to openly and frankly discuss his concerns.

Many of you have reached out to me with your thoughts and prayers, and I wish to thank you all. You have lifted my spirits more than words can express. Prayers are so powerful! Let us continue in this spirit of prayer for our Archdiocese.

May the joy of the Child Jesus remain with you throughout this holy season!

Deacon Steve Martínez

  2. Deacon Steve, I pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to inspire and guide you in doing what is right and just. I am hopeful that you can continue to function as a deacon, but I and others sense that you are being played again.

  4. I'm starting to compile a list of potential canon lawyers who might be willing to advocate for the rights of a lay person or cleric from Guam: How to Find a Canon Lawyer. It's a list in progress, so feel free to suggest additions!

  5. This is the Modus Operandi of the bully goats on the hill, jump the gun in making a rash decision and then rush into damage control to save face.. What a bunch of clowns..
It realy goes to show that the counselors (Pius, David and Adrian) and those being counseled are ill prepared and reactionary in their decision making. I hope that the investigators from Rome see through the actions and real motives of these incompetant people leading the Church. I'm betting that the reason AAA is is recalling his initial decision is he is unable to proof that Deacon Steve is causing hate and discontent against the Church. How is one disciplined for questioning improprieties that are happening in the church. These people abuse their authority and take advantage of people's obedience and generosity for their personal gain or self serving interests, and when they are questioned, become defensive and ask, how dare us question men of the "cloth". BTW this is exactly the MO of the NCW, "Do Not Question" - Just Obey!!! even when they are raping you of everything...

  6. Aside from the terrible emotional pain, very deep sadness, disappointment, disgust, distrust, shock, and total and utter unbelief about what is happening in the catholic church on Guam and the motivation to advocate for honesty, justice, and peace that people are local people are feeling.
It is really very embarrassing to know Guam is getting world wide attention and that the on going church fiasco with never ending inept blunders of an obvious extremely unskilled church administration continues from one disaster to another that is being watched "world wide". The reality is the church admin looks like a total laughing stock of idiots who do not know how to administer their own cannon laws let alone common sense in human relations. What is even worse is that they actually prove their own ineptness by their thoughtless, foolish, impulsive, reckless, injudicious, irresponsible, bullying actions as so the called leaders. Thankfully Guam is showing there is a counter balance. Courageously minded people are bringing light to this fiasco. Thankfully we have people who love their faith and the church. There are strong visionaries who are not afraid of the bullying and are willing to take a stand for social justice.

    1. Yes, we definitely have people on Guam who love their catholic faith. What is playing out before us comes as no surprise, as educated and faithful catholics on Guam refuse to remain silent and subservient. AAA underestimated the faithful on Guam and is now seeing a backlash because of his wrongful actions (NOT the church's). Telling us lies and continuing to lie (to cover up the other lies) is insulting to us and a major embarrassment to himself and those coaching him. AAA has done enough damage. Having him continue on as the archbishop will only cause a greater divide and more torment among the faithful instead of the healing that many are longing for.

  7. In case Diana doesn't get a chance to post. I'll share with you. Diana, can't wait to commend you to visitators. What a nice young woman in your twenties, who is not a priest, and has been walking for eight years. How confident you are to comment on just about anything without even knowing what you are talking about. About how you took Tim Rohr for your mentor and built your own popular blog. Hope you have your chance to speak. But then you would have to reveal yourself. Will your team all fit in the room? Good luck. "

  8. Deacon Steve, rats and I thought we could talk about ice cream at the neo seminary! Once again you show your class. Proud to call you friend and GIFT brother. Merry Christmas to you, Emma and the family. Maybe after the "investigation" i mean "visit" we can talk more openly.

  9. You are a class act, Deacon Steve. "The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet. ..."

    2. 7:19 PM , admitting that you listen to 2 Live Crew confirms your arrested emotional and spiritual development. It explains how you can listen to such trash. So juvenile!
Now go back to your Neo community and echo some more.

    3. to anon at 7.19, beside your horrendous grammar, your choice of song tells a lot about you.

Sad that this is how our NCW seminarians think.

  11. MR. ANON Dec. 23rd 7:19PM - Wow...quick to judge and slow to think about what you just posted. We are not here to persecute, WE ARE THE PERSECUTED. His name is Deacon Steven Martinez. He prefers to be called Steve. As many times as he humbles himself and signs off a text or email, it was always with the humility of not using his title, but is first name, Steve.

IF you insist on calling him out starting it with his last name, at least have the decency to be civil and us a "Mr." in front of his last name. He is well deserving of it. Deacon Steve has always promoted PEACE, not ANIMOSITY!

Merry Christmas to you and your Family. Seems you are in the festive swing of things. Have you forgotten it we will be celebrating the Birth of Christ this coming Wednesday, December 25th?

  12. Anon Dec 23 7:19PM on this season and week of the birth of The Child Jesus, The Prince of Peace, we pray for your hardened heart and the hearts and souls of the many like you who, even in this Season of Glad Tidings, Joy, Love and Peace would rather spread hatred and division and even enjoy doing so and standing along side those who resort to doing the same,
