    2. Thanks, Archbishop, for using your teaching office to effectively educate people on the subject of same sex marriage. The HUGE lack of pastoral care and education so well carried out by you and your collaborators. @8#36 You are quite correct This battle is LOST. Thread by pulled thread, the whole fabric of the Church will be raveled. God Help Us.

  2. I thought it was a great article. Am I missing something here? Is there a reason to clear the shelves besides it being a good article.

    1. Sorry, didn't have time to explain earlier. Since it was getting close to the end of the day, the remaining copies probably wouldn't be sold. So rather than have them be thrown away I wanted to grab as many as possible so we can give them to people who may not know what's going on. It's a good summary of all the issues, and especially being in a newspaper, there is credibility.

    2. If Guam allows same sex marriage it will reflect poorly on the Catholic majority and its leadership. Political correctness isn't always right. The very fabric of society, the family, is being ripped apart by a very vocal and aggressive minority, the LGBT community. Time to take a stand.

    3. Guam won't allow ssm. The Supreme Court will take care of that. The LGBT community on Guam is hardly aggressive. We have more to worry about from our own lying church leadership.

  3. I think of Humanae Vitae whenever issues about marriage come up. Paul VI restated the Catholic teaching on contraception clearly. He suffered criticism and ridicule, but stayed the course. The Catholic Church may lose the battle in the mainstream media, and with public opinion, but will always speak the truthb

    1. He suffered that ridicule mostly from Catholics and particularly bishops. HV is wholly ignored by Catholics.

    2. So sad that some Catholics are our Lord's and his Church's worst enemies. Praying for their conversion.

I asked my son to try to track a copy down but he was unsuccessful. So glad to have the link; he's printing the relevant pages out for me since it's hard for me to read it onscreen.

Let's hope international news outlets pick this story up …

It is a deeply troubled divided church created by Anthony Apuron a total and utter disaster .

Every day he remains expect more disaster in his leadership. It is a tragic leadership so tragic he can no longer be taken seriously as a bishop,

  6. The Church on Guam is like a ship w/o a rudder. Capt. AAA is too confused, inept and all the while the ship is in 20' waves and heading to the cliff. Rome, SOS, SOS, SOS. We are being embarrassed, divided and abandoned by Rome.

  7. If you missed the story, you can read it by clicking here. It's accurate, except in one significant respect: it makes no mention of the Neocatechumenal Way.

  8. We should never abandon God, despite the leadership of Our Church. We have to stand up and be strong about Our Faith. God, please continue to guide us and protect us.

    1. As laity we can always choose to go to another parish, but Father James, Father Paul, and Deacon Steve do not have the choice to switch dioceses. Although their work environment cannot be the most pleasant these days, they have chosen to stick with the Church. Some clergy in their position may have chosen to quit the Church and join one of those breakaway or splinter catholic churches popping up everywhere stateside. (Independent - not affiliated with Rome) They have chosen the position of Erasmus who valued continuity over division, and not Luther. They should serve as an inspiration to us all.
