  1. Nice story with fairy tale ending.

Another story with the same characters. Richard comes home drunk and beats his wife every night. Should she stay and serve him lovingly or should she leave him until he gets help for his sickness/addiction?

If she stays she will continue to get beaten until some day her husband may have a conversion and repent for his terrible sins against her and their family.

But if she goes to a safe place she protects herself and their family. And through her absence the husband may have a conversion of heart and repent sooner.

Clearly Kiki wants the woman to stay-it is her cross to bear.

But the Church itself teaches that the woman needs to protect herself and her family. She needs to leave the husband and pray for his help. She can encourage him to get help. And during that time of separation she is not free to divorce or to see other men. She is still married no matter what. But she does not have to avail herself of abuse and pounding by her husband.

Kilos view is a warped view and the news who follow can ably be viewed as mindless zombies. To any Kiki reading this, go talk to a real priest and not a presbyter. Ask them whT you would do in this situation and you will hear true Catholic teaching.

  2. This is clearly a cult that aims at adding the Muslims to thier fold. This is how the Muslims treat thier women....wake up Guam...stop the money that funds this evil parasite that has infested our church.

  4. This guy does not know what he is talking about. It is not worth spending any effort to refute the trash he is trying to convey in defense of Kiko's perveted and evil catechesis.

  5. Anyone who has lived on Guam for a very long time can attest to the fact that domestic violence is a longstanding problem. Here's a snippet from the 2014 State of the Island address by the governor: A combined total of 1,611 arrests were made for family violence alone in 2011, 2012, and 2013[1]. According to the Governor’s Community Outreach-Federal Programs Office (GCO-FPO), 3,170 victims of family or domestic violence were served during the same period. Considering that Guam’s culture is rooted in family, the crimes within families and against women and children is alarming."
I wonder how many incidents of domestic violence have gone unreported because the wife or children involved are Neo.

  8. Mr Chuck, thanks for posting my comments, God bless you. I laughed when I saw this, but "it is well". I am not a neo, I have never met a neo, but I was only able to discern what is wrong from your ascertions concerning a man of God. Do you know that Sarah called Abraham "My lord" and she became the mother of nations? 1st peter3:3-6 clearly made mention of this to tell you how significant God values total submission. Unfortunately, our judgment is being clouded by globalization, people feel the words and practices were written and practicalized centuries ago, neglecting the fact that our God never changes, he is the same yesterday, today and forever. Please this man kiko speaks the mind of God, but it takes only a man that has the discerning spirit to know this. Then about the story I used to back up my point on your site, I never said that the story is true, it is meant to educate you on what can happen, and situations that can take place when a woman submits.... If you have any other ascertions, kindly let me know, the holy spirit has all the answers sirs. God bless you all.

    1. Dear Mr. Ayorinde, I did not refer to you as a "Neo", but rather as an "avid follower of Kiko Arguello" and a "Neocatechumenal supporter", and you certainly are. You rush to comment on any criticism that is posted about Kiko Arguello and his Way, whether here, or on the Thoughtful Catholic blog.

You consistently use the word "total submission" when referring to a Christian wife's relation to her husband in marriage. I'm sorry, sir, but I cannot find the phrase "total submission" anywhere in the Bible, especially not in 1 Peter 3:3-6. Can you find that phrase in the bible for me?

What I do see there, is, "Likewise you husbands, live considerately with your wives." And in the fifth chapter of St. Paul's letter to the Ephesians, I read, " Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ." St. Paul tells me to love my wife as Christ loved the Church, "giving himself up for her." Those verses, it would seem, should rivet my attention as a husband. And I'm sorry sir, but I don't see either Peter or Paul exhorting my wife to facilitate my sin, whether it be drunkenness, cavorting with prostitutes, or physical violence.

    2. Mr Chucks, you can kindly read the 6th verse where it spoke about Sarah and 1st Peter 3:1 where it talks about submission to ones husband. 1st Timothy 2:11-15 also tells a woman to learn in total silence so that she can be victorious in all she does especially child birth. Then Ephesians 5:21-24 clearly reflects this. Nowadays, reverse is the case in most homes, that is why there is a lot of assault cases, women being battered by their husbands because they won't stop talking back at their husbands. Education and literacy has given them a feeling of equality with the husband thus making it difficult for peace of the Lord to reign in many homes. God Almighty understood this, that is why he emphasized on the need for the wives to be submissive to their husbands, alas, we don't understand this fact, we feel it is right that such happens, not knowing that when you give women absolute power, the unforeseen happens e.g the fall of man in the garden of Eden where Adam left the wife alone, he gave her freedom, he gave her total power and the devil exploited this weakness to deceive the woman who in return paid back the husband as a result of the husbands negligence. The reward of Adam's negligence was given to him by his wife. Samson lost his power and his life because he gave a woman absolute power over him, don't forget the fact that Six(6) men were already under the whims of the woman that Jesus met by well and she was ready to add Jesus to the collections of men that were already under her whims before Jesus put her in her place. When a woman is being given the notion that she can do anything and get away with it, then the home is in trouble and trust me, the children are going to pay for it.

Then about being a follower of Kiko, that is another funny assumption of yours, because i have never exchange mails with the man, i only read about him online, and the holy spirit has never convicted him in my heart, so why should i judge a man that God has not judged.

Furthermore, Christianity should be united, that is the only problem in Christendom, different factions everywhere as if we are not serving the same God. Kiko preaches in the name of Jesus, yet some of you call him the devil, he asks people to give their life to Jesus, yet some of you still feel he is devilish. In the kingdom of darkness there is unity and unification of purpose but in Christendom, we are so ever ready to cast down, throw stones, diminish our spiritual fathers - why? To gain cheap popularity, derive satisfaction, to rejoice in our little victory while the devil who happens to be the main adversary looks on and smile. If you feel Kiko is getting it wrong, don't instigate people against him, rather, rally them together and pray for him. God bless you sirs.

    3. Ayorinde says,

"that is why there is a lot of assault cases, women being battered by their husbands because they won't stop talking back at their husbands."

So abuse is really the woman's fault? Is that what Kiko thinks too?

"Education and literacy has given them a feeling of equality with the husband"

Are you listening, ladies? Somebody would rather you be uneducated and illiterate.

"...not knowing that when you give women absolute power..."

So, not insisting on "total submission" is giving women "absolute power"?

"we are so ever ready to cast down, throw stones, diminish our spiritual fathers"

Kiko is nobody's father and we don't owe him and his catechists our obedience.

"don't instigate people against him, rather, rally them together and pray for him."

Our first job is to pray for and help his victims. Then we are to stop him.

      Enough.
