COURAGE

Be Courageous!

In our daily lives we are rarely faced with situations that call for "heroic deeds". But we are forever faced with decisions that require "judgement". Do I go this way or that way? What shirt should I wear today? Do I lie or tell the truth? Will this be good for my career? Will I regret this in the morning? On average we make hundreds of decisions per day.

In this time in history, the Catholic faithful of Guam are faced with several faith based decisions. Do we speak out against the wrongs that Apurun has committed or do we keep our heads in the sand and remain anonymobystanders. I mean who are we to "judge", right? In the protest line yesterday a parishioner got in the line behind me to attend mass. She grumbled that (she) should not have to see these signs before going to pray at Mass. I agree!

AB Hon should have quickly addressed AAA's attack on the victim's and issued an APOLOGY. He should not have IGNORED Walter on the steps of the Cathedral! Hon should be keeping the faithful appraised of the "investigation" by Rome. Hon should be investigating the RMS property and the NCW's wayward ways! Hon should have entered into "dialogue" with the CCOG!

Knowledge is power and the TRUTH will prevail. The other faith based decision facing the faithful is "Do I want to know the truth and get more information or do I just want this all to go away! I hate the confrontation! And again, I agree! Confrontation takes COURAGE, a conviction of faith! A righteous thirst for justice.

The link below talks about courage!

  1. People ARE RESPONSIBLE for all the decisions that they make and the actions that they take. But, Now-A-Days, some People Blame Other People for the Choices They Themselves Make. Apuron should have stayed home, met his accusers face to face, and told the truth. Running away to Rome just magnified the people's thinking that "He is guilty"! Then, here comes Rome's representative who has not done anything to promote unity. He holds parish meetings but we are not told what was discussed, he is asking that the Appeal should be continued instead of trying to find out why the contributions are so low, he has not shown where the contributions are going to, and he is still protecting the NCW/NEOs who have invaded our Catholic Churches and made some awful, awful changes. Be Upfront about all of these and We Can Discuss Unity in Our Catholic Churches! BIBA KATOLIKUS!

    1. Archbishop Hon's parish meeting wasn't with parishioners, it was to see the running of parishes, their books etc. which was just office staff and priest. Now it's a waiting game because all the Neo priest are going to be replaced around the parishes...rotation time. Nothing is being done we are just going around in circles so that law suit and the Bill being passed should at least give a head start to things.

  2. I'm sure that that parishioner that complained on her way to mass is a NEO cult member. The majority of the parishioners are NEO.

  4. To the disgruntled parishioner: I agree with you. You should not have to see these signs before going to pray at Mass. We picketers should not have to march in the hot sun on a Sunday morning. I agree.

So WHY DO WE DO THIS??????????

The specific reasons have been enumerated many times in the past. There's no need to repeat the list now. But I will boil them down and summarize the situation.

We LOVE our church. We recognize the many atrocities committed by our church leaders. We want justice for all who have been hurt. We want to truly be One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Some have said that we had many problems before Apuron became bishop, before the NCW came to Guam, before the current victims/survivors were harmed. Let's stipulate to all of these points. Let's go a step further and say that we never fully lived our Catholic faith, that we have been Catholic in name only, that we have been going through the motions with empty hearts. Now is the perfect time to turn to God and beg for His mercy, to turn to our Savior who died for our sins, to turn to the Holy Spirit for guidance in our lives. Now is the time to reflect on our baptismal promises and live them. Now is the time. Why wait? Join the march. Pray with us.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, saves those whose spirit is crushed. Many are the troubles of the just, but the Lord delivers from them all." Psalm 34

    1. Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
