BILL 326-33. PUBLIC TESTIMONIES GIVEN ON AUGUST 1, 2016

*Zoltan Szekely's oral testimony was cut short by Senator Frank Aguon because Zoltan, as you can see from his written testimony, was not testifying on the content of the bill but on the content of the testimony of others, including myself, David Sablan, and Gerald Taitano.

  2. i watched mr tudela's testimony as well, and i cried with him.

hear those words again: closure, healing, truth, justice, due process. what is so difficult about these words that hon, et al, just can't seem to understand?!

note that with mr tudela's testimony, the friary and the capuchins must now face the legal truth as well.

a note to the guam faithful: stay strong in the faith. this will be a time of trial for everyone, a purification. we owe it to these men. it's the price of true reconciliation.

    1. I was listening to the rebroadcast of public hearing on bill 326-33 and I find it hard to understand Zoltant's testimony who is against the bill. Does he speak english?

    2. I too heard but a bit surprise he is a Professor at the UOG. It was rather hard to understand what he was saying or even wonder if he was speaking English. If this is how he speaks then I wonder how many Students at UOG every completed his class and you can not even understand him. I speak broken English with a Chamorro tongue but everyone can understand what I am saying. Sorry Zoltan, we can use your Testimony as tissue.

  4. Testimony on the bill today--except for Zoltan Szzekely's testimony, and the testimonies given before the committee last Thursday, were absolutely on point and make a lot of sense as to why Bill 326-33 should be enacted into law.

Today, Mr. Vince Pereda's testimony was very powerful, and I encourage everyone to read it. He is a professional social worker who has dealt with child sex abuse victims and offenders. He outlined the punishment that would have come down on Apuron had he been charged with criminal sexual conduct in the 1st degree as a felony--15 years to life in prison! If there were more than one count, he would have been imprisoned for life without parole. He would be a registered sex offender for life and would be listed on the national data base. This just tells us the gravity of such offenses that Apuron allegedly committed, and how we as a community view the offenders when caught and found guilty. Mr. Pereda went on to say that an investigation involves various tests on the offender to determine the truthfulness of his or her denial. Victims would be questioned, facts checked, etc. So far, we have not seen any investigators from Rome or elsewhere questioning the victims of Apuron and others to determine Apuron's fate. All I can say about Mr. Pereda's testimony is, "Wow!" The Chancery better get their act together because Mr. David Lujan is listening and watching. Mr. Lujan, the Chancery has shuffled Fr. Louis Brouillard off to Minnesota. He is still on the Archdiocese of Agana payroll. They must have had to know about these incidents with Mr. Tudela, the Boy Scouts troop in Mangilao, and some of the things he did at Fr. Duenas when he was an instructor there. Truly shows that the Archdiocese was complicit in hiding these heinous crimes, allegedly, of Fr. Louis. I hope Mr. Lujan will represent Mr. Tudela as well. Thank you.

  5. Zoltan said that he is gravely concerned that Bill 326-33 might be intended to become a stepping stone toward making untrue connections to vilify a certain faith group inside the Catholic Church. HELLO? What certain faith group are you referring to? Catholics? Finally the idiot named Zoltan admits that he belongs to a non-catholic group that protects serial pedophiles.

    1. Maybe he knows a lot of neos that may end up being sued too once this Bill if pass and want to protect them too. If you recall, all neos must stand up in front of everyone and confess all your wrong doing in the pass and got forgiven. Surprise surprise, this BILL and will be the LAW.

  6. How could this UOG professor continue and teach at UOG when we could not discern what he was talking about at the hearing? He may have ruined some students lives by getting his condescending attitude in the way of not passing students who questions him.

    1. After listening to Zoltan at the hearing, I honestly was puzzled as to how in the world his students learned anything at all in his classroom. It was EXTREMELY difficult to understand most of the words coming out of his mouth. At first I thought he was speaking a foreign language. Anyone know any of his former or recent students? I truly am curious as to what kind of education they received under him. I would be very frustrated if I was a student of his and not being able to comprehend him.
