WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE PRESBYTER PROBLEM

Posted by Tim

CNMI Lawyer makes a point:

Incardination has consequences.

The NCW presbyters have been ordained and incardinated in the Archdiocese of Agaña.

Thus, unless another bishop accepts their transfer, we are financially responsible for their support throughout the rest of their lives, just like for Fr. Brouillard.

They cannot be unilaterally sent back to their native lands.

This was in fact the plan from the beginning. This is why Kiko insisted that his "Way" NOT be classified as a Lay Movement, nor his presbyters a new religious order. If it was a "Movement," Kiko and his Way would have come into the orbit of the pontifical councils and dicasteries which govern the lay movements and to which he would have been held accountable. He wanted to avoid this. If his presbyters had been constituted as a new religious order, they would have had to raise their own funds and provide for themselves. He wanted to avoid this.

By insisting that the NCW was not a movement, but instead, a so-called "itinerary" of adult faith formation, Kiko was able to weasel his way into the Church structure by making it subject only to bishops. And individual bishops were much easier to buy and control than a pontifical council. Rather than be subject to a central Vatican office, Kiko and his Way are free to establish themselves wherever a bishop can be bamboozled. This was genius of Kiko. There are nearly 3000 Catholic dioceses in the world. Thus in setting up the NCW as a diocesan-based "itinerary of faith formation" rather than a lay movement, he multiplied his opportunities for success time 3000!

But his real genius was in his pretending that his seminaries were diocesan seminaries. In doing this, Kiko guaranteed that the lay faithful would be made to foot his bill. Unlike religious orders (such as the Capuchins) who must raise their own funds to care for and educate their members, Kiko's kids, once incardinated in a diocese, could depend on those regular Sunday collections.

So, yah, we're on the hook with the likes of The Waldo forever...UNLESS.

But before I get to the "UNLESS," I've been asked to ask your assistance in locating these "missing presbyters." If you have information as to their whereabouts you can leave a comment or send to junglewatch.info@gmail.com.

So now to the "UNLESS."

This would take some research but if it can be proved that we were defrauded into paying for a seminary and a formation that really did not exist, we could possibly bring a class action suit against Apuron, the Gennarini's, and everyone else who participated in the scam and force them to fund the support of these presbyters.

Another possibility is pressing for a canonical investigation into whether or not any of these presbyters were coerced or if Apuron was ordered to ordain them when he knew they were unfit. We know of at least one case with an eye witness to Apuron saying so. This could be grounds for laicizing the presbyter and freeing him up to go back to lay life.

Probably the easiest way would be to see if any of the other neo-friendly bishops (like Chaput and O'Malley) would take them. But then maybe the fact that no other bishop would take them is why they were sent to Guam in the first place.

While we may have been bilked for hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund Apuron's presbyter playpen, there is no reason we must resign ourselves to being stuck with Apuron's mess forever. There may be some redeemable presbyters who can be dusted off, psychologically vetted, etc., and sent back to school for awhile, but something tells me that the others would just as soon throw their collars in the trash.

  1. From Bishop Ballin to Chuck White:

Why do you spread over all the world what is strictly personal to Fr. Luis? I am now his Bishop; do you think that I don’t know his situation and why he is here in my Vicariate? Do you think that I am so imprudent as to accept a priest without knowing his personal background? So, why, do you send to me and to others all this information which is very partial? What is your aim in doing that? The good of Fr. Luis, or of the Church? It is not you who is in charge to save the Church in my Vicariate. Be ashamed! If you are without sin, be the first to throw a stone at him!

Thank you, Bishop Ballin, for so generously accepting Fr. Luis Camacho into your diocese. Please consider accepting several other presbyters. They are relatively fresh out of seminary and are ready to go out into the world to proclaim the gospel. I'm sure you will find them well-rested since they spent quite a bit of time in luxurious surroundings. The catholics of Guam are prepared to offer a great deal: 5 presbyters for the price of 1. No other diocese in the world would be able to match or beat this offer. If you act soon you might even be able to get a used catechist for no additional cost. He has years of experience and has recently become available.

Please make your check out to SHCOG (Swindled/Hoodwinked Catholics Of Guam).

As a bonus gift we will include 5000 rhino beetles. They make great pets!

    2. Sooo disgusted with the arrogance...
St. Catherine of Siena, pray for us! She spoke truth to power...
Here is what I sent by email to the good bishop:
      Guess what Bishop Ballin:
It is NOT strictly personal! It is a public scandal, acknowledged by the police on the island of Guam and known to others with ties there! We, the laity, are FED UP with our children being used by lustful priests and bishops, while these perverted ministers are hidden away instead of being made to face the law about their crimes!

Yes we are all sinners, but hurting children is a huge deal, you would NEVER understand as you are not a parent! Being called "Father" doesn't make you one!

It was JESUS HIMSELF who said, "Whoever scandalizes one of these little ones, better for him to have a millstone round his neck and be thrown into the sea." So Our Lord obviously recognized a hierarchy of evil. Yes, we, the faithful definitely have lost faith in our shepherds. Imprudence would be the least of our worries at this point. Yes we are interested in the good of the Church, much more so than the hypocrites wearing phylactaries and tassels, parading around to receive marks of respect in public!

YOU Be ashamed!! I am so disgusted with the mess that bishops and priests have made of my beloved Church!!

    3. When Abp Hon visited Mongmong a few weeks back, I specifically addressed the issue of Fr. Luis' apparent incardination to Quatar. Abp Hon admitted that he is aware of the email sent to Chuck White and did correspond with Bishop Ballin about being Fr. Luis' new Bishop as Abp Hon could not find any documentation or letters stating such.

Abp Hon then admitted that Bishop Ballin is not Fr Luis' new Bishop and that no such "transfer" occurred. He also stated that he does not know why Bishop Ballin stated so in the email.

In other words, Bishop Ballin lied. Imagine what other lies he is telling his "flock."

    5. Jose, if AB Savio states Luis is not Ballin's responsibility, why not "order" Luis back to Guam where he needs to face the charges of Custodial Interference? Ballin is Dakun anyhow.

  2. Very serious issue for Archbishop Hon or indeed any Bishop to have priests unaccounted for. Shoyld these priests abuse a child Archbishop Hon Archdiocese of Agana is responsible.

  3. CNMI lawyer do you think it wise to inform the United States Catholic Conferece of Bishops on these priests. If Archbishop Hon is not aware of the where abouts of his priests surely he should act? What is Fr. JEFF doing. Perhaps he can issue decrees to other bishops to flush them out?

  4. Great choices for us to consider Tim. I think all would agree that we don't want any of these MIA NEO Cult presbyters back on the island. Deacon Kim should stop any kind of stipend if they are getting it. Just like any retirement plan, you have to put in the time if you expect to get a dime.

The time these NEO Cult Presbyters put in were 100% for the NEO Cult Communities. Just like NEO Cult Presbyter Santiago in Japan; he is there to minister to the NEO Cult Communities. The Archdiocese of Japan never invited him there. Japan had enough real priests to sustain their parishes. Therefore Kiko should fund their continued service wherever that may be. If they remain on Guam, simply boycott any service they provide since their way of worship is sacrilegious to begin with.

  5. I dont see Archbishop Hon or Fr.Jeff making any effort to locate these priests. Infact sources report these priests do not acknowledge Archbishop Hon as Archbishop with Administrative authority of Guam. They will only answer to Archbishop Apuron. Sure sign now we have two churches. What a mess is created! There is no leadership each priest is their own authority. You cannor build Unity Archbishop Hon in the situation you have. Impossible.

  6. Archbishop Hon must First Locate these Priests. He must know where each priest of his Diocese resides. If not he has no power of the Archdiocese.
Archbishio Hon should Thank Tim Rohr for asking his five million readers where they are?

BTW Fr. Jeff, we have not heard a peep out of you with regards to DQ's cowardly act of disobedience! The LFM is due an apology! Hon is off-island, what are you waiting for? Apurun to return?

  11. The original diocese were RM's were ORDAINED will pay them forever, despite where they do actually work as a priest. For example, if a RM was ordained in Boston but he is sent to a NCW Mission in Barcelona, Spain, he will be paid by Boston diocese his "salary"(sorry, I don't know the proper word in English) and even he will earn a specific money in Barcelona by his work.
I do not know how catholic Church does justify it, but I know they perceive both.
And add the extra money given by the neocatechumenals, through paricular and communitarian donations per month under table and through NCW diocesan particular Foundation.
