With the national, if not world-wide, publicity the apuron sex abuse case is garnering, the Vatican might want to make sure that no appearance of "whitewash" can be said about the canonical trial. This is not anymore about just an archbishop on trial, but also about Pope Francis' statement of "zero tolerance" when it comes to clergy sex abuse.

    1. Thank you, CNMI Lawyer for Nicole Winfield's article. It's disgusting that Pope Francis would lessen the penalties for pedophile priests even though the damage they have caused their victims is life-long. Friends have given me books about Pope Francis for Christmas. I won't bother reading them.
