Posted by Chuck White

If they are still on schedule, tonight's Neocatechumenal catechesis at the Agana Cathedral Basilica will be entitled, "Who is God for you?" If you find yourself there, you'll finally be asked to share!  Read more.

  1. Diana commenter states we don't know 'how they walk' . We don't because it's a big secret. Who is on the Catechetical team? The new one. Who is new lead catechist? Who are the responsibles? ( so to speak) And just a little question: Will they be subject to police background checks? When will this background check be done for RMS international students? Answers? Anyone? Monsignor David, acting (inactive) Rector of RMS? Please. We want to know ' how you walk!' We really do. We're all ears! And waiting patiently.

    1. Will Archbishop Byrnes also submit to a police clearance? What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

    2. New lead catechist? What happened to Pius. Thought he was "here to stay?"

    3. It is my understanding that the position for " Head Catechist" is open.

    4. No catechist during Call to Joy? What?

    5. Yes, Tim. Diana said Fr Pius will stay for good on Guam.

  2. Police clearance isn't good enough. These priests come from and travel all over. A police cleearance is only good for Guam. What you need is police, court clearance and a fingerprint card for processing a clearance that covers the entire U.S. databases, state and federal.

  3. To anon at 8.26,
I do understand your eagerness, it is well founded.
Unfortunately in the case of foreign individuals, like the presbyters incardinated here, even a US database, will not cover some of the issues in their country of origin.
In fact in many cases, these individuals come from countries where no such thing exist.
This is why we have been steadfast in denouncing the lack of vetting at RMS in particular.

    2. Who recommends these seminarians/presbyters from their places of origin? Are they not supposed to be approved by the local bishop and not just their neo community? It is problematic from the start, then the receiving seminary or diocese are stuck with these wannabes for their financial upkeep, to include their travels, their shenaniganism, their long absences and disappearing acts which leave the unfortunate parishes they happened to be assigned to in horrid disarray!

    4. its a "catch 22" bonanza for the ncw, you see Anonymous February 21, 2017 at 10:53 PM, for the ncw to operate in your diocese, it is only at the invitation of the bishop.

thus in the ncw mindset all bishops are in approval, (even those that don't take sides) its what the ncw charges the local bishop, its really a small price to pay for your bishop to receive his red hat.

Art. 18 [Initiation to and formation in the priestly vocation]
§ 2. The Neocatechumenal Way is also an instrument that is offered at the service of the bishops for the Christian formation of candidates to the presbyterate.

ask, where is the office of a red hat bishop on guam?

    5. True. The US vocations shortfall is so severe that desperate bishops are importing unknown priests from every developing country on earth. This results in them being constantly blindsided by cooked personnel records.

Glaring cultural differences and poor English language skills make most of them unpopular here, especially with women. A significant number of these priests are pedophiles and their homeland bishops know it. They're glad to be rid of them.

Most of the perverts conveniently vanish soon after they're caught. Where I live, the majority of these bad imports come from India, Mexico and the Philippines. Once they slip back into their protective native countries, they're impossible to find. However, the offending US dioceses are still successfully sued.

  4. Agreed 8:26 AM. In addition to fingerprinting, FBI, CIA and Interpol clearance should be required for all bishops, clergy and religious working in the US and its Territories. DNA testing as well. Basically, the same tests military personnel had to pass before Clinton wrecked the armed forces.

  5. Spineless Byrnes is a NCW flunkie. Don't expect any support from him in your fight against Apuron and the RMS.

    3. Yes Jose, it must be a NCW cult member masquerading as a Catholic. The NCW cannot hide their traits.

Lie, cheat and deceive = NCW

  6. Byrnes: what a letdown. He wore out his welcome so soon and in such a tragic way because he brought with him the promise of Jesus and the collective hope of real Catholics around the world. I guess he couldn't handle the weight of Apuron's transgressions or undo the massive abuses in liturgy. Moral leadership is sorely lacking in our church leaders! Heaven help us!

    1. I believe what I suspected from the outset is the case. Byrnes was hand picked by Filoni and kept purposely in the dark about the extent of the problems here. Thus Byrnes was heard to say: "It's news to me." (During an interview with KUAM when asked about the problems in the diocese.) However, I believe Byrnes has now had an awakening and is fast figuring out who he can trust. He's made some mistakes. Some big ones. However, looking to the future. The real test will be whether or not he backs up Fr. Paul's directive. There is NO indult for the neocat communion rite. What they'll produce, if anything, is a note from Cardinal Rylko (Pontifical Council of the Laity) to Kiko, telling Kiko to ignore Arinze's letter. Sorry, but Rylko has no authority to address the liturgy. That is reserved to the Pope via the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments. So unless there is an indult from the CDW, nothing else applies. And BTW, if there was such an indult, the CDW would have published it. They didn't.

  9. Africa's traditional Cardinal Sarah was recently removed as head of the Congregation for Divine Worship. Now he has to report to a liberal.

Sadly, Trad-hating Francis' new man will probably support the Neocats. Cardinal Sarah never would have. He is even more conservative than Cardinal Arinze.
