WHERE IN THE WORLD IS FR. ALBERTO?

During Holy Week, Fr. Michael Jucutan's absence from the Cathedral was noticed by some. Holy Week of course is the busiest week of the year and every available priest is usually needed. So we decided to ask.

Here's what we received back: Fr. Jucutan was sent to Agat by the Archbishop to cover for Fr. Alberto. Where was Fr. Alberto? Here's what we received back: he returned to his home in the Canary Islands to celebrate Holy Week with his neo-community.

If this is not true, feel free to provide the correct information.

  1. The archbishop is appointed to move any priest around the world that he ordained and belongs to Guam. If fr.alberto was sent to his island by archbishop then it is ok. Priests walking are now needed all over the world. Hard to find a priest walking and who has the real priesthood in him.

    1. He can send him wherever he likes. But a priest cannot exercise his priestly faculties outside of the diocese in which he is incardinated unless he has been so authorized by the ordinary of the diocese to which he is sent. In other words, the Archbishop is not free to appoint priests to anywhere he pleases. In addition, the Archbishop has some responsibility to the people of Guam for whom these priests were supposedly ordained....or at least that is what we were told.

    2. So if Father Alberto was sent to the Canary Islands because priests are needed, then who is now pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel?

If he sought permission to celebrated Holy Week in the Canary Islands with HIS COMMUNITY, then his pastoral obligations to OLMC parish has no significance. This only shows that the community comes first, all others later!

    3. And who pays? Just asking.

    4. And then, as if by magic, appear at canonization! Who knows. You are correct,Tim, about faculties. What an ODD time for a NEW PASTOR to disappear; and for the Vice-Rector to disappear from Cathedral Basilica.

Anon 4/23 @ 9:53AM - actually a bishop has total authority to move a priest anywhere within his jurisdiction. However, the priest can refuse to be moved out of the diocese if he so chooses ... he is a diocesan priest and belongs to this diocese. Tony cannot force a priest, even a neo priest, to go anywhere outside of Guam boundaries, that's my understanding from a discussion held by a few bishops on EWTN a few years ago.
But that is not the point. I fully expect Fr Alberto will return to Guam shortly after a side trip to Rome for the JPII canonization like nothing ever happened.
"Hey, I had more important business to attend to than my flock in Agat...can't you see that?" is what he was probably thinking. Wasn't it about a year ago that he had to dash off to the Canary Islands to go through a step/scrutiny? I believe so.
So that everyone knows and understands, these neo priests owe no allegiance to the people of Guam. Just as Fr Alberto's actions prove, they started the neo in their home location. When they move to Guam they still consider themselves members of that original community, and owe all the allegence to them. They only come to Guam because Tony is stupid enough to pay for 100% of the enormous cost for them to become priests for Kiko.
They go when they want, and they return when they want. If we are lucky, maybe they all will go sooner than later, and even luckier if they take Adrian, David, and Tony with them. Then we can get some priests who will not abandon us common Catholics during the holiest week of the entire year.
Thanks Fr Alberto for showing us your true colors: Canary Yellow!

  3. Father Alberto's trip back home was planned way before he knew he was to be the new pastor in Agat. Why are you watching every move. Stalking them all the way into their personal lives = shameful!

    1. I'm not watching at all. As shown above, I was asked. I didn't know. So I asked and was told. I reported. That's it. But really? You really want to say that Fr. Alberto PLANNED to be away from the diocese where he is incardinated during HOLY WEEK? Really? Do you REALLY WANT TO SAY THAT?

    2. What the hell is wrong with a priest being away from his diocese for Holy week. Tim, you have a disordered way of understanding the structure operations of priests. May be you need to study canon law.

    3. More evidence. Thank you.

    4. 4:42 p.m. No one is watching everyone. People question absences and actions. When a priest is not around the question would be is he sick? Is he off island? Where did he go?

The seminarians actions of laughing, leaving the mass, and etc. make people think twice about what their goal really is and if they are sincere. I doubt that someone parks outside the rectory or the gate of RSM and takes notes, they are just noticeable. Stalking is the wrong word... We only see what is shown to us.

    5. Geez Tim according to 5:45 you don't seem to understand the structure and operations of the NCW according the the instructions of Kiko!

They are holding the iron rod the rules the world!

Anon 4/23 @ 4:42 - you say his trip was planned way before he knew about his transfer to Agat. So then, doesn't that mean he had fully planned to abandon his pastor responsibilities in Barrigada. I would be pretty mad if I were a parishioner there.

But then some other neo idiot points out it was for medical problems. Well, as far as I believe, Fr Alberto is covered by the Archdiocese health care plan, which does not include Canary Islands in its treatment area of coverage. Since Tony is responsible of the care of his priests, that means the parish or the archdiocese will end up paying for all his medical bills not covered by the Guam insurance. That is a waste of money. How do you people of Mt Carmel feel about paying for his trip to Spain and Rome, and for uncovered medical costs?

Then yet another neo idiot tries to justify it by adding that Fr Alberto has high blood and needed medication. So if that is true, he purposely put his life at risk by not getting medication here on Guam, waiting for months to go fly the Canary and then get the medicine he needed so badly? Laughable!

This is all a ridiculous load of bull cart! The neo will try any desperate tactic to try and cover for priests that don't care the least about Guam! They come and go as they please because they owe us nothing. To abandon their parish during holy week is unforgivable.

At least when Tony missed holy week a few years in a row it was because of a legitimate issue, but Fr Alberto left because he wanted to be with his homies, and not with us. It's that simple.

Are you all amazed that I actually defended Tony...I know that I am, but it does make a point.
By the way, before Fr Alberto went he had to get Tony's approval, so yes, Tony is just as guilty of this flagrant disregard for the people of Guam. Shame on you Tony, shame on your Fr Alberto, shame on you neo idiots (but not all in the neo are idiots, just these commenters) who try to defend this action. It is such a lame attempt at twisting a situation that these comments probably came from Adrian Cristobal.

  4. You don't seem to understand how priests and the NCW operate. The NCW are worldwide. Guam is now under the order of the NCW led by archbishop and the founders kiko and Carmen. The archbishop has ordained many priests, and plans to ordain more in the next five years. He will then send out missionaries all over the world from Guam. Many walking are already in Rome preparing for the weekend events. All we saying is to anon 1032am the archbishop and we his community, can send any priest we want around the world, we do not need the approval of anyone we just act. This is how we operate. If someone does not like us in their diocese, tough shit, we don't need the money of a local church to,stay, we are independent , archbishop Apuron is an independent catholic bishop walking, so we can in reality appoint any Proest to Amy place we believe he is needed. For sure in the coming months Guam will send others to Africa and the Philippines.

  6. So 4:47 pm. You are saying that the NCW now has control headed by the archbishop. If this is the case, then your mission is not sincere, but control is.

You have made my decision for me. I refuse to be under the control of the NCW headed by the archbishop....I have reflected and now I too need to find a church where there is unity...it sure isn't the Catholic Church anymore. Thank you anon.

For father Alberto leaving for medical treatment, why so far?

    1. Don't look for unity. Look for division. Christ promised he'd separate the sheep from the goats.

    2. It's one thing to leave a parish to avoid a priest, but to leave a church means to abandon Jesus. He is the one who created this Church and a Church made for sinners. I would meditate more on that fact before I separate myself from my creator and savior.

  7. Fr. Alberto's going off-island because of high blood pressure is somewhat similar to being denied support and approval to go to an off-island seminary. Sounds like another lie from the top. jes of chn' pago.

Teresita (Mangilao); St. Francis (Yoña); San Juan Bautista (Ordot); Our Lady of Purification (Maina); Immaculate Heart of Mary (Toto); and Sta. Barbara (Dededo).

  9. As far as I know, the archbishop took a vow to take care of the souls of this diocese, and this diocese only, not the Canary Islands. Read the vows he took when he was ordained bishop. By allowing Fr. Alberto to leave his parish during the holiest of days, he is sending a signal that the needs of a Neo Priest, supposedly ordained for Guam, has more priority than the souls of this parish, unless your Neo of course. Fr. Alberto, as the pastor, should know better as well, but he, like all other Neo priests(count the archbishop as a Neo priest) march to a different drummer---the drums of Kiko. Anon 9:53 AM insults all of us non Neos by implying that priests who do not walk in the Neo are not as holy and devoted and real as Neo priests. This way of thinking indicates that someone has been inculcated to believe that his way of walking to God, the Neo way, is the true and only way and everything else is false. He reminds me of the Pharisee who sat in the front pew and thanked God for making him do and say all the right things, unlike that sinner in back. Finally, what happened to all that hoopla that all these seminarians becoming priests from the Neo seminary in Guam belong to Guam and only Guam? I guess it was just hoopla and nothing else.

    1. You need to remember that they are incardinated on Guam, but at the same time are missionaries and can be sent where they are needed.

This is where your AAA money goes to..ordained on Guam through your generosity but able to be sent elsewhere.

    2. Anonymous (April 24, 2014 at 1:12 AM): in response to the request from "jes of Chn Pago"/AKA Anonymous (April 23, 2014 at 8:04 PM) who is "looking for a parish that has a non-walking priest …" Anonymous (April 23, 2014 at 9:29 PM) listed "Parishes with Neo,pastors …" [sic].

As written, the response from 9:29PM describes the parishes as HAVING Neo pastors and NOT as BEING Neo parishes since the parish of Yigo was not mentioned. I may be mistaken, but I believe that the pastors of both parishes — Malojloj's Fr. Romy and Mongmong's Fr. Jun — may have been among those who felt compelled by the Archbishop — either verbally or in writing — to serve the needs of the NCW in the "early days," prior to the ordinations of the RMS seminarians. I doubt that either priest actually "walked," as does the Archbishop, but rather were FORCED to participate in NeoCat activities. Now that there are enough RMS-produced NeoCat presbyters, I understand that Non-NeoCat Priests have been relieved of their NeoCat community "duties," as the presbyters are "imported" to serve the needs of communities in various parishes.

In response to "jes of Chn Pago"/AKA Anonymous (April 23, 2014 at 8:04 PM, I suggest the following parishes for your consideration: Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament (Agana Hts); St. Jude ( Sinajaña); Sta. 11. I have friends in Agat and they said Father M Jucutan didnt know how to say Mass during holy week and Easter. The servers had to tell him what to do next. Am not surprised cause these NCW priests are truly trained for their own masses. Parish masses is just like a side job. To recruit parishioners. Then the Santa Rita people told me Father Fabio said mass on Good Friday last year. With consecration. Lord help us if the parishoners knows more than the priest. Good Friday no mass allowed just the service with readings prayers communion then our custom of the procession.
