SPOTLIGHT ON APURON - TERI UNTALAN NAILS IT

On April 11, 2016, Teri Untalan, speaking for many Catholics, sent a letter to Archbishop Apuron asking him to resign over his gross mishandling of the Luis Camacho affair which not only has created a huge liability for our diocese but shows crass disregard for the young people in other parts of the world.

Given the recent movie "Spotlight," which shown the "spotlight" on the bishops as the enablers of more than forty years of what Pope Benedict called the "filth in the Church," Apuron's shipping off of Camacho to another part of the world without a warning label appears to be right out of the movie.

This is the kind of thing that has cost regular Catholics, NOT the bishops, regular Catholics, US, billions and billions of dollars. I say "regular Catholics" because it did not cost the bishop's a dime of their personal wealth. Instead they turned church assets (mostly property), assets accumulated through the good graces of generations of faithful Catholics, into cash to pay for their sick trade in psychologically unfit and emotionally unstable priests - most of whom should have never been ordained.

In fact, Apuron has gone further in creating a breeding ground for this psycho-sexual rot at RMS with Camacho being one of the first "fruits" to actually get caught. However, he wasn't the first sexually disturbed priest with a phallic fetish to be given a Roman collar courtesy of our dollars. Tune in to Edgy Edi's latest on-stage ejaculation in front of your sons and daughters here

Thank you Teri for having the courage to stand up to the stench that is now the Archdiocese of Agana and demand that the rotten core be removed:

  1. Wow, so the Catholic Church on guam just hides sexual predator priest who were caught as long as they are NCW followers and accuses another priest (fr. Gofigan) with no evidence publicly. How shameful the handling of this by brother tony and yet he remains silent. Then Adrian and quitugua are too stupid that they too act as if they don't know what is going on. Bunch of morons pretending to be priests because they ware a collar and a cross.

  2. God Bless you Teri, for your courage and your commitment to stand up to the Archbishop in defense of our One True Faith. The Archbishop and his minions have been put notice that the Faithful is committed to this fight to the end. Stay out of our Churches, and build your own.

  4. So who is at fault? Father Luis or the Girl he was caught with? There are two sides to each and every story. We are given one side which is what the people like to see with all the negative view but what about the other side of the story. Yes, we have the police arresting Fr. Luis but where is the female in all this? Nowadays, young females are dressing like strippers with short shorts and just a bra. But Fr. Luis may have taken the female out of school but did Fr. Luis force her? Did he threaten her to follow him? Was she willing to go? Females that are 16 years old have the right to consent. Did she consented to getting in the car with him and following him? Was she actually falling in love with a priest? Maybe. Look at all aspects such as what the people see, what he sees, and what she sees. In many cases, we only look to protect the female, but what if the young female is the one who wanted to do these acts and just have the priest as the victim but we see the priest as the suspect. Only God knows what truly happen. This is all nonsense because some people just want to go after bishop because the people do not like the way the situation is handled. It is funny because the bishop is not elected by the votes of the people. Only the governor. But yet do we ask him for his resignation because he gave thousands of dollars to his staff illegally? No, No one is holding banners and signs protesting against the governor. Just recently, the governor (govguam) has to pay for attorney fees for the tax refunds. Now ask yourself, where did the governor get the money to pay for the fees?
    To Untalan,
It is funny how you constantly ask for the bishops resignation. Maybe we should ask for Mr. Rohrs resignation with his business and junglewatch. I know many will comment on this post and even say that Mr. Rohr has nothing to do with this comment and how politics are used as examples in this post but what is your gain? Go ahead and go to the media, it shows that catholics are fighting with their own brothers and sisters.
Here is something that you can look into. Do your investigation. Monsignor Benavente was removed from the Cathedral after his celebration of 25 years as a priest. He had cardinal Tagle in attendance. He reception was held at the Leo Palace. Those that went were FREE! Now lets ask ourselves, How much was the bill, Who paid for it. Who paid for the Cardinal's visit and his secretary? I would think the bill would be more than lets day $10,000. So who paid for this event? Ask yourselves.
I know this comment might not be up but lets expose this situation of who paid for Monsignor's event?

    1. Anonymous 11:34 - Are you an idiot? Are you implying it was the girls fault because of how girls are dressing these days? Regardless of the age of consent, she is still a MINOR! Your asking if Luis (I refuse to call him father or a priest) forced her to leave school with him. Why in the hell would someone besides a child's parent take him/her out of school let alone a priest? Let's say she did ask him to take her out of school, why would he allow "the acts" to happen? A priest is someone you go to for advice, guidance, counsel, etc....not SEX!

    4. Pius has instructed the communities to place all blame on Luis' victim. The propaganda began last year and was reiterated at this weekend's retreats. You will soon see them attempt to do this in press releases and other public statements soon.

It is disgusting, but not surprising that the NCW leadership will choose to malign the under age victim in this situation while protecting the adult perpetrator.

    5. "Unknown".....let me answer your question for Anon 11:34......yes, he/she is an idiot. Blaming the victim, is it? There is no responsibility by Luis? He was in the position of AUTHORITY, Anon 11:34. He had the power and he abused it. The Archdiocese policy regarding this matter is that the incident should have been dealt with accordingly, however, it was dealt with the NEO Way....Hide and Seek.....well....He hid but he was found.

    6. Anon at 11.43!!!! what a perfect demonstration of the Deny and deflect!!!
      Almost textbook!

Deny there was a crime, and of course blame the victim.
      (how classy and compassionate)

Then deflect, by bringing a lame story, which is supposed to take away our attention from the subject at hand.
      Sexual abuse.

As far as Msg Benavente celebration, his family was the one that paid for the reception.
Cardinal Tagle, came on his own, as a friend. Nobody had to pay for his ticket, unlike Cardinal Cordes, who is coming here at our expense, and will stay here a whole week, also at our expense.
You want to compare apples and oranges?
      Lets go!
I don't think, you will like the results.

    7. Anon., Regardless of how the minor was dressed, you seem to be missing the mark.
First , she is a minor.
Second, he is a priest who made a covenant to remain celibate for the sake of building the kingdom.
Yes, he is just a man who is tempted like all the rest of us. however, if he went through a proper psycho;ogical evaluation like all priests are supposed to, maybe he would have found
that he isn't a good candidate for the priesthood. Or are you of the opinion that it is okay for priests to be fornicating. I can tell you this wasn't the first time it happened, and yes
perhaps the young woman tempted him, but then if we all indulged in our fleshly desires where would we be? Priests are held to a higher standard, and they enter into this state of life voluntarily. Bottom line is, like Teri said, he violated the Archdiocese of Agana's rules on sexual misconduct, and there are specific consequences for these violations.
Oh but wait... those don't apply to the NEO catholic church do they?

    8. While the points about Luis are valid, the REAL ISSUE here is not Luis' humanity or his vows, but Apuron's intentional obstruction of the matter: lying about the investigation, hustling him off island to a secret location, and still lying about it. The real criminal here is Arch A Apuron and the fools who speak for him. Let's go after that.

  6. 11.43am. You idiot. The cardinals expenes were gifted for travels to Guam. What are you talking about?

We are talking about Archbishop Apuron need for resignation. We are not talking about Cardinal Tagle.

    1. Every bishop who was eventually brought down and ultimately removed by the pope was first confronted by the laity. It begins.

    Dear Anonymous at 11:43,
So typical of a neo sympathizer to deter and deflect. Let's talk about the governor and Msgr. James. First, grow some balls and put your name, unless of course you're afraid of your catechists. Hahahaha. The Fact that he was arrested is enough to say what he was doing was against the law. You sound like a PEDOPHILE assuming it's okay for a fully conscious, adult, wearing a collar I might add to assert himself on a MINOR. Is that what is catechized in the way?! It's okay to prey on the young minds of girls as long as they consent. Take your bullshit opinion and shove it far up the rear end of all your catechists, Pius included.

    2. Well, anon at 7.40, Manuel Ayuyu, et al, you know the saying:
If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, and quack like a duck, it is very likely it is a DUCK!

When you use phrases and analogies, that are textbook Neos,
you have obviously been infected, by a spiritual disease, which more often than not is quite deadly.

When you take the defense of the Putrid Pius, and use his own verbiage to justify your inanity, before claiming in the same breath you are not a Neo, it frankly does not sound believable at all.
As to anon at 7.04, finish ESL, and go back to your pretended studies in Yona.

If you guys think you are going to defend against light, by spreading more mud around, you are sadly mistaken. You are just making us stronger and more determined.

Thank you Teri, for underlining the obvious, and for demanding the accountability that we have the right to expect.
You must have hit, too close for comfort, for Pius and his cohorts.
The venom and lies that they are throwing around is the demonstration of that fact.
There is an old French saying, which loosely translated says:
"when you are attacked for telling the truth, it means that the attackers are living a lie; so continue to tell the truth."
