  1. Wouldn't it be nice if all the altar servers on the island show up one Sunday at the Protest Rally as a show of solidarity with their fellow altar boys who publically accused apuron of raping/molesting them? Or, if not all the altar servers, then at least those from Agat? Wear your cassocks, guys!

    1. Great Idea Anonymous 7:02 AM! What a statement that would make!

    2. @7:02, I think that's an excellent idea but why not go a little further and let's bring out all the alter boys/servers (past and present) not just to make a statement but also show that we stand united and to hurt one is to hurt all.

    4. Anonymous at 7:02 AM, I agree that the suggestion of having altar boys/servers join the picketing as a show of solidarity is an EXCELLENT one. But I seriously doubt that those from Agat — which is under NCW administration — will be allowed to participate.

  2. Places where Apuron lived all need to be checked out to search for other victims.
Places he visited as a priest/bishop.

  3. Hello Mary Lou @9:27 a.m. from Anon @ 7:02 a.m. Actually I expect that some priests will tell their altar servers NOT to participate in any manner showing their solidarity with the publicly known victims of apuron's sexual abuse. When that happens, I hope the altar servers will then DEFY these unsympathetic priests and not only join our protest rallies, but also make it known who these priests are. As was so eloquently expressed: "Silent No More!"

  5. In tune with the theme, "It Takes a Village", maybe the good parishioners from Agat should wrap their arms around their brave and loyal sons and show support for their "band of brothers" by coming out to the picket lines or better yet, form their own down there in front of their own church, where these evil deeds happened. If I were a parishioner in Agat I would: light a hundred candles, hold prayer vigils, rosaries or novenas; start a picket line; get community/school/professional discussions going about sexual abuse of children; and maybe even get the current NEO priest to reach out to these victims and their families. DO something, anything to prevent this evil from happening in your village again! Stand up to your priest and put him on notice that you will not allow your church to be changed into a NEO church like the one in Barrigada.

    1. F. Leon Guerrero, My sentiments exactly! Parishioners, show real support for those brave men who have come forward. Join the Wave on Tuesday, August 2, in Hagatna, Route 4 and Route 1 intersection, by old Designer's Direct building from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM. Be SILENT NO MORE!
