THE "SPOTLIGHT" IS ON GUAM--A COVER UP?

Posted by Webster.

Archbishop Hon is wrong. He better check his facts again. He should check with Archbishop Apuron, or Monsignor David, the former Vicar General, or Fr. Adrian, the former Chancellor. They know why Fr. Brouillard is being paid monthly despite being absence from Guam for over 35 years.

Fr. Brouillard is not being paid monthly by the Chancery because he had retired. No priest retires at the age of 59. Maybe 75 but not 59. Something reeks of COVER-UP here.

In 1981, Fr. Brouillard was 59 when he was suddenly and secretly sent off island. Why? He then continued to practice his priestly vocation in Minnesota, which means he was not retired and continued to be gainfully employed, securing a monthly stipend from that diocese in Minnesota. He was one of the priests accused of sexually abusing boys in Minnesota, and, as we now know, in Guam.

Why on earth would the Chancery pay a Guam priest a retirement stipend elsewhere, who is not of retirement age, and allow that priest to continue to be gainfully employed? Unless of course, he was not being paid for retiring, but for agreeing to go away and to never come back to Guam.

And why on earth would they want Fr. Brouillard to go away and to never come back? Because that priest did something bad in Guam, and is being paid to keep his mouth shut.

Didn't Archbishop Apuron and the Chancery, with the help of Fr. Pius and the Neo Cathecumenate Way, do precisely that with Fr. Luis Camacho after he was caught by the police having sex with a minor during school hours at a isolated beach in Agat? He was whisked off this island within a day after the sex incident and last seen (as posted by this blog) in Qatar being sheltered by a Neo Community, and in charge of a retreat for a YOUTH group!!!

Apuron and the Chancery continues to pay Fr. Brouillard. They continue to pay Fr. Luis Camacho. They continue to pay Fr. John Wadeson. And the Chancery continues to pay the serial sex predator, Archbishop Apuron, who himself is off island at some unknown location. None of these priests are on island. Why?

  2. Webster is right. Brouillard's "stipend" is not a retirement check. It is hush money. But "hush" about what? His own history of molestation? Not likely. Brouillard is getting paid to keep his mouth shut not about his own record but more likely, Apuron's. Though older than Apuron, Brouillard was molesting boys at the same time Apuron was. Maybe they shared. This is a cover up.

  3. Or maybe, if not covering up for apuron, then for somebody else? a priest or more than one priest?
The can of worms has been opened. How will Hon solve this situation? The plot thickens. Truly, the laity (and the local media) has become "Silent No More!"

    1. Archbishop Hon failed to take the time to really study the root canal of our problems. It may well back fire against him. We lived with a serial child molester' He was also into seminarians.

    3. Any seminarian abused by Apuron should tell how he ruined their lives. A pure call from God defiled by Apuron the notorious sinner. Persecution, indeed. Even sorry to see Pope Francis appearing everywhere all smiles. The Church is suffering here! Do something Your Holuness.

  4. mutually assured destruction.

as we know, brouilliard's transfer out of guam happened during bishop flores's time. if not an outright cover-up, then it's at least a reflection of attitudes at the time that still persist today: that it's better to keep such things quiet "for the good of the Church."

however, the fact that the archdiocese of agaña kept sending him money speaks to something beyond that. because what kind of work on behalf of the archdiocese of agaña was broulliard doing all the way in minnesota all those years? why stay in agaña's payroll, and not officially transfer to the local diocese? what kind of deal did bishop flores make with the diocese in minnesota for them to take him?

    1. If you read "HON HAS NO EXCUSE NOT TO KNOW ABOUT BROUILLARD" posted by Tim, it said that "Fr. Louis Brouillard was stripped of his faculties by Archbishop Flores after credible allegation arouse against Fr. Brouillard. He went back to his home town of Minnesota." Apparently the diocese in his home town was never notified of his status in Guam". We should find out who was responsible to inform Minnesota that Fr. Brouillard was stripped of his faculties? Was payment being made by our archdiocese to Fr. Brouillard immediately after his faculties were stripped.? Seems like somewhat should start checking into this. Sounds more like AAA has financial mismanagement not Monsignor Benevente.

  5. Would love to see a list of all the "retirees" getting a monthly stipend from the archdiocese. Is this money part of our limosnas?

    1. The late Archbishop Flores left separate endowments for both Diocesan and Religious Communities from his personal money. This is the fund sourcing for the Pension Plan of those who have reached retirement age in The Archdiocese of Agana. This was enacted after the late Arch Flores' death.

The beneficiaries who received but now deceased were Msgr Zoilo Camacho, Fr. Juan Camacho, and Fr. James Ch'e. The deceased priests who did not receive pension were Fr. Tony Cruz, Fr. Ray Techaira and Fr. Tony Perez because they died before retirement age. The current recipients are Msgr. Brigido Arroyo, active pastor of St. Anthony; Msgr. David IA Quitugua, active pastor of San Juan Bautista; and Fr. Rodolfo Arejola, parochial vicar of St. Anthony.

The so-called "funding source" for Louis Brouillard, Luis Camacho and Wadeson is not known. Perhaps the Finance Office under Deacon Dominic Kim can clarify. With the amount of presbyters that Apuron brought on board, the Flores Endowment will run out sooner than expected and thus a different sort of dilemma. At any rate, the whole NCW emterprise has been bleeding money out of the Annual Appeal with no satisfactory and palpable results that benefit the Archdiocese. It is right that the people stop the funds to squelch the parasitic needs of arrogant neos. Any return of investment for RMS training is zilch and will further bring ruin to the Archdiocese if we do not stop it..

    2. If Deacon Dominic Kim, the opportunist, is one of the 50 "John Does," in the lawsuit of apuron's four victims, you might just get your wish (list of "retirees").

    3. Well stated 12.52pm. Pehaps it is time the two monsignors retire. It would be a great service to this archdiocese to remove this men who contributed to silencing crime. Frankly they are a disgrace.

    4. The funding trust from Archbishop Flores for our retired priests must be accounted for. Strongly suspect Apuron abused these funds. At the same time Arcdiocese hold rentals in Tumon. These rentals must be accounted for. Exactly how did Apuron spend these funds.

  6. It now seems that Guam has submitted its entry into the global scandal of sex abuse. Not just that we have a problem, but that we have also exported our problem to the unsuspecting markets overseas.

Brouillard had a problem on Guam and rather than help the victims, he was shipped off to the US, where he very quickly ran into problems there. Not a surprise, but definitely disappointing. And Apurun contined to support the sick freak while the victims were left to fend for themselves. That is criminal!
And we see more exportation of sickos with Fr Luis Camacho. Send him to Saipan, then the Holy Land, then Qatar, then who knows where?
And more exportation this year. Apurun exported first to Rome, then Hon says no one knows where he is at.
All of this spells big financial trouble for little old Guam. Unfortunately, Hon says he has the power, but we see that his power is useless with all these sick freaks exported to distant lands!

  7. You must stop the money or you participate in the moral evil by supporting it. Apuron only achieved his disaster becasuse good people of Guam gave him thick envelopes. Lets be honest here. All who gave him envelopes supported his sickness. You enabled him to fly all over travel shop buy property on the money of the generous people of Guam. It's obvious. He is not a rich family. Does he have lunch dinner in a room with picasso or Michelangelo hanging on the wall. No he has kiko art. Im sorry people of Guam need to wake up.

  9. Why should this Archdiocese continue to give stipend to a priest who abused children, especially since he was suspended by another diocese for the same reason? Why are we paying for John Wadeson, he did not serve any parishes in the archdiocese except perhaps the NCW communities, perhaps the NCW should pay his stipend. If the Bishop of Quatar claims Luis Camacho to be under his diocese, he can have him, We should not be paying Luis Camacho, while he is out serving in Quatar. The NCW prebysters who have left Guam should not receive salaries from this Archdiocese, Kiko should be paying their wages. Since Apuron is accused of sexually molesting altar servers, his pay should be frozen, If he is found guilty, he should be fired and not receive any pay from this archdiocese. We are not running a retirement fund for these jokers who molest children, and are in hiding to flee prosecution. The Problem Apuron has inflicted in this Archdiocese is not just the introduction of a heretical sect into the Church, the mis-treatment of priests, Sex abuse of children, and now the payoff and sending away of sex abusers. This is so typical of Apuron's legacy, lies, deceit, injustice and destruction of the Church in Guam. He and His NCW sect must be removed from Guam, No Compromises...

  10. Apuron been asking Friends for money. But im sure he is still being paid by chancery. If he was a priest he would not be paid. Apuron only pay a priest to hush up.

  11. I hope faithful Catholics in Guam have found another charity to send their Sunday offering/tithes to... it's the age of the internet and you can instantly find a deserving charity to help, locally or abroad. I spent two years in Guam about 22 years ago and I know many of the names now in disgrace. If I were there now the Archdiocese wouldn't get another penny from me and I hope people understand that this is the only way to get this corrupt system's attention. The Guam Hierarchy is a scandal before the entire Church, so many years after this abuse issue has been uncovered elsewhere. The collection baskets should be going back EMPTY with the ushers until things get straightened out. I guarantee you they will notice!

  12. I send checks to Guam's Catholic Social Service for the Alee Shelter for Women and Children instead of contributing to my NCW-invaded parish.
