Interesting move at the Cathedral. Mage James is now pastor, which is usually the role of the Bishop. Yet we still have a rector with Fr Concovar. Very confusing.
Correct, it is quite unusual, to have both a Pastor and a Rector. It seems that they also have a new parochial vicar. So at this time, there are no neo priest at the Cathedral.
Alberto is going to stay in Agat. One person exclaimed that Alberto, being an Apuron boy, it was slap in the face to the people of Agat to keep him there since Agat was where Apuron was pastor when those things happened.
Can I simply just say what a relief to discover somebody that actually understands what they are talking about on the internet.
You definitely know how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More and more people should look at this and understand this side of the story. It's surprising you're not more popular since you most certainly possess the gift.
A friend of mine on Guam says the fact that Msgr. Benavente has been appointed pastor of the cathedral means Archbishop Byrnes is packing his bags. Oh God, I hope not!
Good Morning Anon at 7:25. Archbishop Byrnes does not strike me as someone who would quit in the middle of a job. It is true that the Neo communities are awash in some of the most interesting plots these days. Guam being the small island that it is, some of these fantasies end-up in the mainstream.
If you read my post on the NCW hiding sexual abusers, you would see that not only their Guru Pius was expelled twice (once by Hon, a second time by Byrnes),they also has "their" bishop found guilty in Rome. Of course the cherry on the cake is that Adrian (the evil one in the shadows) is also now on the run. With all that, they need as much distraction as they can. If the neos do one thing well, it is spinning, so they float all these theories out there, from the cute to the totally gross. Yours, would probably fall in the cute one. But, beware! They are the champions at bearing false witness.
I am not aware of any changes with the Capuchins. They have their own region here, which includes Hawaii. Father Forbes was elected this year to another post, by his brothers. I would doubt that this move is real, specially in regards to his father being quite ill at this time. You and Fr Forbes have a long history, perhaps you should go to the source yourself.
Ah! I was wondering when this issue would come up. Yes Anon at 12.16 Archbishop Krebs has been nominated to a new post. Nuncios usually have rotation cycles of around 6 years. (just like priests are supposed to) Yes, time flies by very fast. After several dangerous post in Africa, and his assignment in the Pacific region, it is time for Archbishop Krebs to move on to a new assignment, this time in south America. We wish him the best, and hope he does a good job for the people of Uruguay (or was it Paraguay?) I know he shall be sorely missed in the Pacific region, as he was when he left his African assignments. Archbishop Krebs is a cleric of many talents and an excellent diplomat.
Appreciate if anyone can comment on Father Antonio Caminiti who is to move to San Juan Bautista Church. Isn’t he a neo priest? Does anyone think he will try to bring in any neo ways? If yes what would be some signs of that? And lastly is the halt in the practice of neo still in effect by the Archbishop?
Appreciate if anyone can comment on Father Antonio Caminiti that is moving to Ordot Church. Is he a neo priest? If yes, is there still a halt to any neo activities as per the Archbishop?
Hello anon at9.28, regarding your question: yes Caminiti is a Neo. The Moratorium on the Neos has been lifted, so in theory, they can continue their activities, as long as they follow the Catechism. They have a Vicar dedicated to their issues: Dcn Steve Martinez, who reports directly to the Archbishop. It will be up to the parishioners in Ordot, to monitor and alert the Chancery of any deviation of regular functions in the Church. Overall, we know that the Neos may have change strategy, but they are still very present in our Archdiocese. They have somewhat become less frontal and more cautious, but do not underestimate anything they do. Personally I maintain, that they are a dangerous cancer like growth in our midst. The rumor is that are attempting to open a neo facility in Asan, that they can use as a base for their efforts. Since they have lost the seminary, they do not have a place to do large meeting and such. I am sure we shall know more later. In the meantime, you better steel yourself for a rough ride.
It's very simple to find out any topic on net as compared

The Cathedral is both a Cathedral and a parish.
DeleteIndeed it is. But until now, the Archbishop had been the Pastor of the parish.
DeleteFr kristof at Agafa Gumas? Are trying to create an absces?
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a very strange move. Things had quieted down at the Chapel. This is definitely one to follow closely
DeleteNo news in Agat! Is the heretical Alberto still there?
ReplyDeleteAt this time, no news. The neos circulated a petition last weekend to keep Alberto as the Pastor in Agat.
DeleteWe should know fairly soon.
Alberto is going to stay in Agat. One person exclaimed that Alberto, being an Apuron boy, it was slap in the face to the people of Agat to keep him there since Agat was where Apuron was pastor when those things happened.
DeleteI think we all agree, that it would be a grave mistake.

So where oh where is Mgsr. David Quitugua (the tall one)? Wasn't he assigned to San Dimas parish to assist Fr. Julius?
ReplyDeleteLurch ASSIST? Coffee came out my nose.
ReplyDeleteI know! pretty funny...
DeleteHe is being very discreet lately. But he always has been a man of the shadows.
I heard that Father Eric Forbes will be moving to the main Capuchin Province in New York. Is this true?
