BAD TIMING...AND WRONG THEOLOGY

So inside the church the prophet Joel tells us:
"Even now, says the LORD, return to me with your whole heart, with fasting, and weeping, and mourning...."
And outside the church the anti-prophet Kiko tells us:

This is quite "protestant" by the way. Most "evangelical" churches eschew the idea of Lent, Holy Week, and even any special recognition of Good Friday. To them, since Jesus is what this sign says, there is never a need to re-visit Calvary or to subject oneself to a penitential season.

This is also why. while they may wear a cross, their cross will never have the body of Christ on it (which is why it is called a "crucifix" not just a "cross"). This is also why they eschew the idea of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. To the evangelicals and most protestants, Christ's death on the cross happened 2000 years ago and there is no need (for them) to memorialize it or re-present it. It's just a banquet, maybe even a happy meal.

Same teaching as Kiko's...and sadly, some non-kiko's too.

  1. So, it wasn't simply they are using an old banner or something. It was deliberate. Thank you for this clarification, Tim. When I saw the banner, I thought it was simply a case of typo "May 18, 2015 is Ash Wednesday." Now, I know better. So, St. Anthony Church is living a dual life. One that celebrates Lent and one that doesn't.

This is pure stupid to say the least.

  3. That's messed up. If Easter is just a few days away, maybe we can forgive them for this booboo but it is still 40 to 46 days away (depending on the year). You know, you're right, this is not a simple error. This speaks a lot of what the Neo teaches and believes in.

  4. Tha Neos do not need or want a penitential season. No reason for penance because they believe that ALL will be saved no matter how sinful a person may be. Forget about the Lenten season and party on! Another "Call to Joy" Neo benefit. Oh, let's not forget John Travolta leading the line dance every saturday night.

  5. Yep!, sure sounds like pure Protestantism to me..All you need to believe is Faith Alone and that you were Saved!...Go figure!

  6. What the banner fails to mention are the required admission fees when the shindig is over.

  8. Neo Ash Wednesday shindig probably still going on as I type this. Was wondering why Fr. Tom was surrounded by Neo presbyters at this evening's mass, but when I saw a lot of cars still parked outside the CB an hour later after mass I knew then that it had to be the Neos.

  9. No Alleluia during Lent (except on Palm Sunday and Holy Thursday)!

  10. Sho yo Right! More and more we are seeing the heretical teaching of what the neo formators truly believe and teach, which is very protestant.
    Have a good lent!

  11. I honestly don't really know but maybe they just celebrate ALL year because Christ did rise. I know on a higher spiritual level it is NO comparison to the thought I was reminded of "Lest we forget" and how we remember our veterans for their sacrifice Red poppies became a symbol of soldiers great sacrifice. In European countries they were all that survived the centuries of destruction in barren war torn fields. They grew around the bodies of fallen soldiers with their blazing red color and today remain reminders of that blood shed. I am curious to know do the Neo's not recognize the sacrifice made by Christ, Lent or the stations of the cross? Do they just go to the Christ has risen part? Something like the war was won on a human level and forget the ultimate sacrifice of the soldiers and citizens who suffered and died. Please don't tell
me the answer yes. I would rather hope the banner was an error and someone put it up who couldn't read English or was new in the catholic faith.

  12. Page 27 of the Catechetical Directory - 2nd Day - Pastoral of Evangelization The Signs of faith (see also the discussion on cruxsancta):

Kiko: "Many people no longer come to church. And it's necessary to think of them because the Church cannot stop: she must see how to call back these brothers and sisters who have left. So ***these catecheses are not Lenten lectures, but something very serious***: we want to form in the parish a community that may be a sign. In time this community will ***change the pastoral and structure of the parish***"

Not Lenten lectures - but something serious (because lenten lectures are a jole obviously). To "change the structure of the parish"

  13. OH MY 11:02 Thank you for this revealing documentation. THAT IS WAY TO SCARY. THE BANNER IS NO ACCIDENT. I know that "One person can make a difference and everyone should try", as said by President JFK. Or "Ask not what your country (church) can do for you, ask what can you do for your country (church). But taking on of creating core changes 2000 years old, that was not asked, wanted or needed by the leaders world wide or the majority of members. Seems more than just extreme. Do we have another Hitler or like minded one in our midst?

    1. You are welcome Anon at 1.44pm. You know, there are some good file sharing sites out there. One of my personal favorites is www.filedropper.com because most of the links to the documents look like www.filedropper.com/NAME OF DOCUMENT, where the NAME OF DOCUMENT might be, for argument's sake "ncwcatecheticaldirectoryvol1part1" or ...part2 or ...part3.

      Just saying.

Time to defend our Holy Mother the Church. All men and women of good will, concerned for the future of the Roman Catholic Church in Guam and the Mariana Islands need to join hands with CCOG in working for justice in the Islands. Time to attend village meetings, island wide meetings as the laity take charge in restoring peace, order, and Justice to an archdiocese which is in disorder. unite and stand for Justice. The power is in the hands of the people reclaim your church and make your voice heard. Support CCOG . Cc to Archbishop Krebs.

  15. Here's another thing I can't quite understand in terms of the theology of the NCW. Apparently they sing a medieval Jewish "hymn" called the Dayenu, at the Vigil? Or at least around then. This is not an ancient prayer/hymn as I understand, but a product of the Jewish faith since the incarnation, passion death and resurrection of our dear Lord.

So, the text of the Dayenu is in the form: "If He had brought us out of Egypt" : "It would have been enough" etc.

The problem I have is that this is does not have a Christian sense at all. Of course, it wouldn't have "been enough" if God had only "brought us out of Egypt" and so on.

How is it that modern Jewish hymn, that appears to diminish the meaning of the sacrifice and death of Our Lord becomes a centrepiece of the Christian catechesis on the Resurrection? Am I mistaken about this? Its so tiring and disappointing to find these apparent errors, contradictions and compromises in the heart of our Church - and seemingly with no resistance from cardinals, bishops and priests, and sometimes with their apparent assistance.

  16. Senseless disconnect on what is appropriate for the season of Lent because NCW is clueless on traditional rubrics. Tragic that the chief liturgist of the Archdiocese has allowed and encouraged this travesty to prevail. What a shame that Rome chooses a blind eye on the glaring errors in Guam. Are they being selective on issues to tackle or are they part of the money-making scheme of the NCW. With the global attention on this David and Goliath scenario, the Church chooses to side with the fallacy of errors. Where is Truth waving the banner with pride? Has the Church succumbed to the mute witness of lip service?

  17. Drove by the CB tonight and noticed the neo banner posted out in the front lawn. Has Tony really lost his mind or lack thereof. We are in spiritual warfare with the neo movement. Let us all put on the whole Armor of God, and carry the Sword of the Spirit and the Shield of Faith. Let us all be Prayer Warriors this Lenten season. Biba Katoliku!

  18. The Neos are really rubbing it in. The banner in front of the CB signals their complete takeover of the Hagatna parish. Heaven help us!

  19. The picture here is from St. Anthony's. Is there one in front of the CB?

  20. The banner says come and listen? To what? I don't even understand what the presbyters at church are saying.

  21. The neos were out in full force this morning at our parish this morning. All of them were sitting on one side of the church and the non-neos we're sitting on the other side. There is truly a division in our church whenever they attend a Sunday service. I knew something was bound to happen whenever you see them at a Sunday service. I was right because during the Gospel, the presbyter called out to one of them to come up to the pulpit and confess his past sinful ways and how the NCW changed him and that he is no longer the same person. They should've entitled today's Gospel "Pope Benedict" because all the presbyter kept saying was that Pope Benedict approved it. I think I counted him saying that nine times today. Talk about trying to plant words into people's heads in making them believe that it's okay.

    1. He did not approve "it". He approved the statute after it was amended over 5 years to purge it of its abuses. These neos continue their abuses and violate the trust of the Church. I am really amazed that people simply do not walk out. It's time to start doing that or simply submit to their takeover of the church and stop complaining.

    2. Last night at the CB Fr. Tom presided at the mass and there were many familiar faces there compared to the previous weekends. A seminarian was allowed to address the congregation prior to dismissal and some people walked out at that point. I think Fr. Tom had no choice to allow this seeing how the Neos now control the CB.

    3. I am totally in agreement with you Tim. I did walk out but came back for communion and the final blessing. Biba Katoliku!

  22. Today at 7:30 am mass at the Cathedral, a seminarian from RMS did his testimony. I guess he was there to booster the Appeal. We already had the neo visit. This was a way to get people to give to the Appeal. Many many people got up and walked out. They returned for the final blessing.

  23. Good afternoon, Tim, my name is Ramona and I attend the 7:30AM mass at the CB. I was the lady that walked out with my son on the last visit to the CB by "these" Neo people who sat on the very front row pew. Well, today was no different and this person, by the way, he said his name is ASHTON WONG (I know he graduated from FD) decides that he wants us to "COME AND LISTEN" but I got up and walked out of the church. I believe our Catholic faithful are beginning to take a stand because there were several more of our parishioners who got up and walked out. We waited outside until Ashton Wong finished his spill and then the parishioners and I went back into the CB to receive our final blessings from Father Tom. I really do feel for Father Tom because I feel that the Archbishop is putting the pressure on him to have these so-called Neos preysters announce "THEIR ODE TO JOY AND TO COME AND LISTEN". which to me is a bunch or marlarky. I believe the Archbishop is getting disperate because his NEO community is dwindling and he wants to bolster/build up his "COMMUNITY". Sorry, but I believe that the Catholic faithful are seeing through the smokescreen and are saying "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH".

  24. Did that Seminarian Wong say he went to RMS and FD at the same time? 17 is too young to go to the seminary. PERIOD
