YOU ONLY HAVE TO GO TO THE CATHEDRAL

I believe the reason why some did not immediately pick up on the satire of the previous post is evidence that there are those on our side who really do want to believe the best about their bishop. They want to believe that he really is a merciful father. They want to believe everything they have been cultured to expect of the ordained, especially a bishop.

I know this to be true because I have seen the disbelief in the eyes of many at the village meetings and in personal conversations when I put the facts on paper into their hands. For some, it's like being told that one of your parents is having an affair. There is shock, hurt, disbelief, anger. And even after it is accepted as true there remains a terrible desire for your parents to reconcile, for apologies, for warm embraces once again.

What makes this all the more evil is that this cultured good will of Guam's Catholic faithful, this centuries-old childlike trust of church leaders, this deep longing for reconciliation and peace are precisely what this bishop depends on to further disabuse the people who have been entrusted to him.

This good will, trust, and desire for peace makes it all the more easy for this bishop to lie to them, to fool them, to mislead them, to rob them, to prey upon them, and to pound them into a submissive dust while he and his neocat children wine and dine and fly about the globe congratulating themselves.

So far, it seems that his "can't touch me" approach is working. Most on our side seem willing to do nothing more than blame Rome or blame the non-neo priests for not doing more. Apuron is counting on exactly this. This is why he can say that he doesn't know what the protestors are protesting as he did at his birthday bash.

He believes the numbers will remain few and to him they are nothing more than a few flies on the wall. He believes that no matter what, people will still support their parishes and he will be able to continue to extract his tax. And if some no longer put money in the basket, no matter, their presence at neo-controlled parishes will continue to give the illusion that all is well, giving cover to the neocats while they undermine the parish and break it into their wormed communities.

He believes that even the few who are vocal will tire of the task, will grow weary and discouraged, will eventually stay home and go back to muttering only to themselves. He believes that lectures of the sort given by Fr. Fran Hezel at the Dec. 8 gathering - lectures against quarreling and division - will eventually produce enough intended guilt and force those who speak up to shut up and sit down.

I don't know Fr. Hezel's real target. It may very well have been Apuron himself, especially since he is the ONLY one who can end the "quarreling." However, Fr. Hezel's call for unity reminded me of a talk I had a few years ago with one of his Jesuit brothers who justified disunity, division, and disobedience in the name of progress in the church. (The very thing Kiko himself is doing of course.)

I had confronted this particular Jesuit priest on the issue of blatant liturgical abuses. He calmly advised me that there would be no progress in the church without such disobedience. He gave the examples of communion in the hand and altar girls - both of which began as liturgical aberrations but were finally given a green light by the pope himself.

As an aside this was the same priest who counseled me that the use of artificial birth control was a personal decision and that the church would one day change its teaching on the matter as it did with communion in the hand. He gave me a book by a noted Catholic author which not only supported contraception but direct abortion in some cases.

I have to thank this priest because upon reading this book, and subsequently throwing it in the trash, I began my own quest for Catholic truth and I'm glad I did. Seven more beautiful children followed. But more importantly I learned not to trust a man just because he wore a collar - or even a miter. And until you learn the same lesson you will continue to be lied to, misled, robbed, preyed upon, and pounded into dust by an increasing number of wolves in "shepherd's" clothing.

Christ warned us that we would see the "abomination of desolation in the temple (Mt 24:15)." And in Guam, you only have to go to the Cathedral.

  1. The Bible teaches those who wish to learn of the Great Apostacy to come at the end of the age. We are here. Apuron is certain proof of it...along with those who close their eyes and pretend not to see.

  2. Now that I can see beyond Brother Tony's priestly vestments, I believe that the Catholic Church on Guam will never again be as vibrant as it was when I was growing up. Brother Tony will never restore Fr. Paul as pastor, he will never restore Msgr. James as Rector (or even pastor), and he will never sever is allegiance from Pius and the Neocatechuminal Way.

    1. I sadly agree with you Gerald. Guam's Catholic Church will never be what it use to be.

  3. with a mix of both neocat-supporting and non-neocat-supporting priests, st anthony/st victor parish poses a challenge for us who still consider it home. i wonder if that was part of the reason that msgr james and fr paul ended up there.

whenever i'm on island, i don't go to Mass at st anthony as much as i used to. during my recent visits back to guam, i ended up going to two Masses each sunday, both at st anthony (for family) and at santa teresita (because i trust fr joe english's Mass). i still go to st anthony on sundays primarily to be with older family members. they're more used to it, the handicapped parking is more easily accessible, and there are open restrooms close by. (here we are in 2015 and guam's church restrooms are still a problem?!).

  5. Good point Tim: Which came first JungleWatch or CCOG?

Jungle Watch definately came first. But the rise of CCOG is very significant. And that doesn't lessen the work that Tim has done. In fact, it bolsters the jungle. One year ago CCOG formed to be yet another voice in the Guam public that formally declared that there are huge problems, and people like Greg Perez, Dave Sablan, Vangie Lujan, and Deacon Steve Martinez were willing to step up and try to aid an ailing Archdiocese. Rather than accepting their offer to help, the Archbishop did all he could to kill CCOG. While he had no direct control over the laity, he took the most severe action he could against Deacon Martinez to have him removed from his deacon status.

And now one year later, CCOG is another voice in the wilderness, crying for justice and straight paths. And still our Tony continues to walk an inebriated course of self destruction. Sadly, he is trying to take down the Catholic Church of Guam with him. But rather than just one voice in 2014, it is now the voice of so many who hurt at seeing the damage to our faith caused by our own shepherd. It is truly warranted to call such a traitor Benedict Apuron.

Jungle Watch has spawned CCOG by bringing awareness to the good people of CCOG. And CCOG has grown tremendously. In turn, the dual efforts of Jungle Watch and CCOG have spawned other groups to also echo the clear voice crying out. More and more people are seeing that, indeed, the emperor has no clothes. Only the emperor tony and the kikos seem to be blind to his nakedness.

NCW - time to go, you are no longer welcome here, and you will no longer find the fetile grounds you had previously raped and plundered.

    Be GONE!

  6. Keep it edgy, Tim. Diana who doesn't know who she actually is, actually reads Junglewatch which she always says she actually doesn't.

    Dear Anonymous at 8:20 pm,

Yes, I saw that and laughed. Tim Rohr had to clarify himself because some of his followers were so gullible that they just swallowed up everything he said and cannot determine for themselves that he published a fake news report.

    1. How sad for her, and what a testament to KAKA think. My point was that there are still so many who so badly want to think the best of their bishop that they even believed my satire was true. And she MOCKS that. Says a lot.

    2. I won't be surprised if his followers really thought Apuron apologized. You see, they will now think that we are unreasonable as we continue to protest even after the archbishop has apologized. Twisted and wicked.

    3. I think if the NCW believed Apuron apologized to us real Catholics, they would regard Apuron as a traitor to the cause and would do everything they could to make his life hell. And maybe Tim is correct, maybe even his life would be in danger. Other reasons for him to refuse to repent.

  7. A few seminarians singing for a sparse 'crowd' for RMS Christmas Concert. Putrid in attendance as Rector. Exciting. Not very. Suspicious. Where are the jolly seminarians? Oh, are Harold and new Presbyter Pedro back and hard at work in the vineyard? HMMMMM. We would like and account of where all these guys are. What's the big secret, Your Excellency?

  8. Facing the truth of what is happening in our Church is not easy. Real charity, taught by Jesus, is painful, requires introspection, study and action including severing oneself from the emotional attachment to a parish no longer recognizable. At the end, will He 'know' us?

  9. Charity should always be the pursuit of a Christian, this is the object of the Free Will that God Gave us, However it should never be at the expense of the Truth, which we are obligated to defend, teach, and live. This the Church has been undertaking since Christ founded it and will last until he comes again.
