I WILL FIND WHO YOU ARE

There is something else going on here.

This is the same person who has been threatening me since about 2013 when this whole thing started. The IP address shows he (or she) is from Barrigada.

For a long time, I believed his/her attacks on me and my family were about discrediting me so Apuron could be exonerated and restored.

The Pope has made it clear that Apuron IS DONE. However, Apuron has made it clear that HE isn't DONE. In his response to the Pope's final decision, Apuron maintained his innocence - even at the risk of losing his soul.

Now, several months after the Pope has closed the final door on Apuron, this Barrigada person, continues his lone attack on myself and my family.

I happen to have absolutely positive information that what has happened to my family is DIRECTLY connected to my activities relative to the eradication of Apuron. I can't say more at this point.

But whoever this Barrigada person is, there is the key. And sooner or later. I WILL FIND WHO YOU ARE.

DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN

(Posted by Frenchie)

The standoff between our dearly departed John Toves and corrupt Adrian Cristobal
the Chancellor for Apuron, is now part of our local history.

What followed was now the infamous : "the Archbishop is innocent, for sure for sure" from Deacon Claros, who had replaced Deacon Martinez who dared call Apuron to task, in regards to the Fr.  Luis Camacho affair.

This was the perfect visualization of the corruption of the Apuron administration.

What John did not do was using foul language, or go knock on Apuron's door in the middle of the night. John remained a perfect gentleman about it. Yet the point was made in no uncertain terms.

By the same token, Junglewatch did not try to destroy the Church, as claimed by the Kikos, but instead thanks to a continuous flow of revelation and testimonies, as well as interventions with the legal Church authorities, we continued to try to protect our Church from the wolves in sheep clothing

What we got for our effort, was a flow of insults, threats and bird calls.
We were threatened with lawsuits, by reputable entities in our Church.

In return we turn the other cheek , volunteers picketed the Cathedral/Basilica, the courageous ladies of the LFM "welcome" the American leader of the NCW, Mr Genarrini and his escort at the airport.

To this day, the kikos accuse Tim of having fabricated and invented the complaints against Apuron and the cadre of corrupted people around him.
The Vatican after two and half years begged to differ.
Yet the concert of fake news continued.
Tim got personally attacked .

That being said, here comes gadfly extraordinaire Mr Torres, who based on the fact that the people at Mt Carmel met with Archbishop Byrnes, and not knowing the content of that meeting, concluded that the "Catholic Church" was guilty of coverup.

Worse, Mr Torres who otherwise can do decent investigation, is so dead set on condemning the Church and the Archbishop, rather than trying to go after the real people guilty of coverup.
Actually he is a lot more interested in doing this, that he was in pursuing his own case

This more and more looks like some interested parties are pulling the strings of Mr Torres, for their own benefit.

The question remains :

Where is Adrian Cristobal?

We at junglewatch have helped expose the evil doers within the Church.
The last thing we need, is some Johnny come lately, try to capitalize on over 6 years of hard work.
Of course that is going to make a few people go mad and accuse the Jungle for shining light on all the corners of the picture, and they don't like it.

FOLLOWING UP ON THE MT CARMEL SCHOOL STORY

(Posted by frenchie)

This is Tony Diaz, the Director of communications for the Archdiocese of Agatna.
One would assume that a director of communications, would communicate.
Apparently on Guam, it is only an afterthought.

The communication done at the Archdiocese of Agatna is about a sort of "kumbaya" world, where everything is rosy , and everybody is happy.
I guess the world according to Tony Diaz is a sort of musical comedy named
"Its a wonderful world"

Perhaps Tony is too busy preparing his yearly vacation on the mainland.

LAST WEEK WE DID THREE STORIES ABOUT AN AFFAIR BETWEEN A FORMER CUSTODIAN OF MT CARMEL SCHOOL AND A 12 YEARS OLD GIRL.

The main issue with this story is the serial contradictions of the office of communication and the School.

We officially asked Tony Diaz to answer some of our questions, as I mentioned on Saturday.
Our  intention is not to attack the Archdiocese but rather to clear the air, and prevent any manipulation by third parties.
So far, only a deafening silence coming from Tony.

Both Mr Sarmiento and Mr Diaz did a terrible job at following the instructions laid out by the Archbishop.
Both the Chancellor Fr Ronald, and the Vicar General Fr Jeff gave us subpar performances.
This in turn has led to a very fluid and dangerous situation for all parties concerned.
The child, the parents of the child, the School and the Archdiocese.

As always, when a story like this one appears on our radars, my first reaction is  who is manipulating who. Why is something being talked about, or why is something kept under silence?

THEN OUT OF THE BLUE THIS THING CAME UP, THAT STARTED TO MAKE SENSE.

A TALE OF TWO SYSTEMS

(Posted by frenchie)

On November 2018 two different, but in many ways similar incidents occurred
at two different schools on our island of Guam.

One happened at the George Washington High School.
The other took place at the Mt Carmel Catholic Middle School.

In both cases, the incidents involved minors having inappropriate relations with adults who should have been trusted with their care and well being.

Without going into the disturbing details, the incidents at George Washington High School resulted in the suicide of two teenagers, while at the Mt Carmel Catholic Middle School, the extent of the damage has not reached that level yet, Lets hope it never does.

In both cases the trust that was put in the adults who we suppose have the best interests of our children was betrayed.

Yet as of now the ways both the Guam Department of Education, and the Department of Catholic Education have handled both cases, are standing in Polar opposition.

I have gone along two different articles this week over the very dismal reaction of the Catholic administration, in regards to the allegations at Mt Carmel.

For those who are interested in more details, you can consult the interviews, and interview attempts of several of the actors involved below and judge for yourselves.
watch and listen here (starts at 34.55)
watch here (starts at 39.00)

In contrast to this culture of silence that smacks in total opposition to the very public positions of the Archbishop on the subject of child abuse; the director of the Guam Department of Education, has granted interviews, where he is as forthcoming as possible, and has taken immediate administrative  measures to allay the concerns of parents, as related to his administration.
Watch here (starts at 7.22)

The contrast could not be more evident between one administration, which clearly is very embarrassed by what led to the suicide of these teenagers, but is willing to investigate; and the other administration return to the darkest days of the Apuron reign.

Why do we have this eerie feeling of "Deja vu, all over again"?

As I said on many occasions, when Archbishop Byrnes first arrived on our shores, he benefited of a huge thirst by the faithful for a new era of honesty and leadership.
Basically Catholics of this island had a need for the antithesis of everything Apuron ever stood for.

So when Archbishop Byrnes started meeting many of the catholic groups from Guam, there was great hope that, as he seemed to listen intently to everyone, that positive change would prevail.

One of the suggestion that the Archbishop failed to follow and/or act upon was that he enact a clear and definite break with everything related to the old administration.

In its stead he chose to keep many of, for lack of a better explanation, what could be called the deep state of the Apuron machine of corruption.
This is how we ended up with the likes of Tony Diaz, Fr Jeff, Msgr James, in key positions in his administration.
This is why he kept the same assistant than Apuron, believing honestly that all these actors had seen the light, and turned a page for the better.
So far, this analysis seems to have erred.

Again I will underline that the task facing him was herculean, at best.
The pass chosen to deal with these issues, was certainly not the wisest.

One of the most obvious issue is the lack of any actions in regards to the NCW.
Beside naming a Deacon, as Vicar to the NCW, and a few reassignments of some of their presbyters, nothing positive has happened on that front. One could even argue that the situation on the ground might be even worse that it was upon Apuron's departure.
But a whole article about this would be necessary.

Surprise of all surprises it would seem that the NCW is very involved in the alleged coverup of the Mt Carmel Child illegal custody/ possible kidnapping/ongoing relationship between an adult and a 12 years old. I am choosing not to cover this further until more verified information can be made available.

One thing seems to be clear: it is that wishing to have a better and different result with the same people that participated in, and abetted the Apuron administration, turned out to be a foolish endeavour.

Lets hope that our leadership will come to terms with this truth.

Notes: I have sent official questions to Tony Diaz for clarifications about the many grey areas in this very disturbing case at Mt Carmel. So far I have only received a receipt from Tony Diaz that he received my questions. I shall keep you posted if and when the communication office of the Archdiocese find it agreeable to let us know their side of the story. It should be very revealing of what is and what is not happening at the Chancery.
May the Holy Spirit guide Archbishop Byrnes in the right passage.

St Michael the Archangel protect us in battle.

THE CCU, BIG RAISES, LACK OF TRANSPARENCY, CONSPIRACY AND TAP DANCING

The CCU's playing fast and loose with the Open Government Law and tap dancing instead of complying with the Sunshine Law prompted me to send this letter to the CCU. CONTINUED

A BIGGER MESS THAN IT FIRST LOOKS LIKE.

(Posted by frenchie)

Right when we all thought things were getting better at the Archdiocese,
we are painfully reminded, that just because we swept some unpleasant things under the carpet, it does not mean that things are all well under the sun.
Far from it, as you shall see.

The alleged rape of a 12 year old girl by an employee of Mt Carmel School just threw a huge ripple in the calm waters that appeared to have settled around us.

What seems to be the issue?

As we presented yesterday, Kandit News, the online news network has been investigating an alleged rape by a custodian of the Mt Carmel School of a 12 years old female student.

What do we know so far?

We know that the rape did not take place on the premises of the School, but rather on a parking lot at GPO in Tamuning on a Friday, back in November.
We know that it was reported by fellow students of the girl to the parents.

From here, it is still confused  on what happened between the moment of the alleged incident and the time it was reported the following Monday, which is in contravention of the Child protection law. (there are time limits for the reporting of such incident)

The press secretary for the Chancery Tony Diaz has made several declarations to Kandit News regarding this case, but the least we can say, it is that his statements were confused and confusing.
There is a strong possibility of course, that he has not been given all the information necessary by people in the know. I shall come back to that.

Meanwhile Kandit News has interviewed Mr Sarmiento from the School, the GPD  the Child protection agency and the governor's office, as well as the Attorney General.

So far it appears that according to the GPD and the Governor's office no report was filed with the GPD.Or if one was filed, it cannot be found at this time.
As you can see , it appears that there are several areas of confusion.

What has the chancery done so far?

That is a very good question, there are many zones of mystery.

As of now the Chancery does not recognize, and/or had not be made aware by the reporting parties that there was an issue.
According to Mr Diaz, as far as he knows this is just a case of inappropriate relationship between an adult and a minor.
The adult in question is no longer employed by the school.
It sounds as if for the administration at the Chancery, the case is closed and they did all the appropriate reporting, even though Mr Diaz admits that the Archdiocese did not reach out to the parents of the girl.

So, what is the problem?

Lets go back and review what we know, that both Guamblog, and Kandit News did not report on.

The alleged incident took place back in November of 2018

We are aware on Junglewatch that during that period of time, Archbishop Byrnes was traveling on the mainland, both for personal reasons, and to attend a meeting of the USCCB, which ironically enough was attempting to streamline their policies regarding child abuse, and how to create channels to better report these issues and avoid future coverup.

While Archbishop Byrnes is absent the two persons in charge of the Diocese are the Chancellor and the Vicar General.
During that period, this would have been Paul Fisher and Fr Jeff San Nicolas.

The proper channel of reporting for the school principal, after he enacted an initial inquiry would be to notify the superintendent of Catholic Schools.
So far, the Chancery has not clarified if that was the case, or if Mr Sarmiento the Principal of Mt Carmel did indeed report to the superintendent of Catholic Schools, or if he first notified the owner of the School (attorney Phillips).

This last issue is very important because if the chain of command was properly followed we should not have in principle the mess we have now, and the obvious lack of knowledge from the press secretary.

What did Mr Sarmiento actually do?

From the different testimonies that have surfaced, we know that the child was interviewed by the Principal either before the Monday after the incident or after, that is not yet clear.
We do not know if the parents of the child were present at the time of her interview by the principal.

Here lies the first issue:
  • During the interview the child actually told the principal that she had been dating the Custodian for more that two months.
  • Why on earth then did Mr Sarmiento concluded that this was only a custodial interference?
A relationship of a child of less than 14 years of age with an adult (she is 12) is considered as rape, because the law considers that a child that age, does NOT have the intellectual capacities to choose on her/His own.

2 We still do not know who filed the report with both the GPD and the CPS
Was it the principal Mr Sarmiento?
or
Was it the office of the Superintendent of Catholic schools?

3 In any case, was the filing done with the knowledge of the Chancellor and the Vicar General?

or
Were both the Chancellor and the Vicar General told  afterwards.

This is important because if either the Principal or the Superintendent filed the report the way they did, after they consulted with the Chancellor and the Vicar General, then we have a huge problem.

Why would the Chancellor (a trained Lawyer) and the Vicar General would choose to file a custodial interference after they were made aware that the adult was dating this child for several months already?

If they did so, this would be grossly negligent.
  1. On a purely moral point of view
  2. because it would go against the Archdiocese own instructions
  3. because it would amount to a false report
Finally when the Archbishop came back from his trip, was he made aware of this case?
What was he told?
The little we know about Archbishop Byrnes is that he is a person of principles.
If he was given the true picture, it seems he would have taken corrective action.
INSTEAD, WE ARE LEARNING ABOUT THIS 6 MONTHS LATER THANKS TO THE INVESTIGATIVE WORK OF TWO LOCAL ONLINE INVESTIGATORS.
THIS IS DEEPLY TROUBLING .
THE ARCHBISHOP HIMSELF NEEDS TO TELL US WHAT HAPPENED AFTER HE HAS FOUND ANSWERS TO THESE TROUBLING QUESTIONS.

THE MORE IT CHANGES, THE MORE IT STAYS THE SAME

(Posted by frenchie)

With over 200 sexual abuses lawsuits going through the court system and the subsequent chapter 11 reorganization of the finances of Archdiocese, one could conclude that officials at the
Chancery would be doing their out most to follow up on any allegations of sexual abuse.

After the dismal administration of Apuron and his minions, and the replacement of Deacon Martinez by Deacon Charos, aka Deacon for sure for sure, following his catastrophic cover up against
Apuron by the late John Toves; the faithful were elated by the new
approach of our then newly appointed Archbishop: Michal Jude Byrnes.

Archbishop Byrnes while facing a mountain of issues, left by his inept and corrupted predecessor,
seemed to take the bull by the horns.
He did put in place a set of procedures for the Church to identify and recognize victims.
He initiated a third way for victims that did not want to sue.
He put in place a reporting system for any abuse that may arise in the future.
He also made it mandatory for all personnel inside the Church and in the Schools affiliated with the Church to go through a sensitivity training, as well as a background check.

Actually one can easily follow this comprehensive program on the Archdiocese website.

So far Archbishop Byrnes has talked the talk, and started addressing a long litany of soar issues.

MY NAME IS "JOHN CHARLES ADA TOVES"

Now that the local media has come out with a sort of "in memoriam" piece about John Toves and his role in the exposition of a clergy abuse scandal that is, per capita, now 400% bigger than the Boston scandal which led to the Academy Award winning movie, "Spotlight," you may want to read (or re-read) the REST OF THE  STORY.

PDN: WERE IT NOT FOR ONE MAN

Guam priests' child sexual abuses would have remained a dark secret were it not for 1 man

Back when no one dared to publicly accuse any Guam priest, much less the archbishop, of sexually abusing a child, former Agat resident John Toves did so in 2014.

It was about 12 years after the Archdiocese of Boston's sex abuse scandal exposed widespread wrongdoing in the American Roman Catholic Church. CONTINUED

DID WE JUST SEE A DIVINE SHOT ACROSS OUR BOW LAST WEEK?

(Posted by Frenchie)

Was last week well publicized fiery cataclysm of Notre Dame of Paris
a divine sign for both the French and the Universal Church?

With the help of 24 hours media coverage, many people were able to witness the destruction by fire of one of the iconic building of western Catholicism: the Cathedral of  our Lady of Paris.
Believers, lovers of the art and tourists alike were shocked that such a well recognized building.
Notre Dame is in fact the most visited building of the Paris landscape with 12 millions visitors yearly.

A sense of awe and despair was felt by tens of thousands of people around the world as people witnessed the expression of adoration, which came to symbolize the faith of the builders of such an exquisite piece of architecture, literally go up in smoke in front of our eyes.

To most practicing Catholics, the fact that this plague would happen at the beginning of the Holy week, was not lost.
Yet few commented on the fact that the end of Holy week, the beginning of our Year, the celebration of the rising of our Lord Jesus Christ was also marked by another awful event: the Martyrdom of hundreds of innocent worshipers in Sri Lanka.

Could this be a divine sign, a warning, of things to come, if we continue to not follow the advises of our Lord and Savior?

MEMORIAL MASS FOR JOHN TOVES THIS COMING SATURDAY

(Posted by Frenchie)

As many of you have already noted through different notifications in the PDN and on social media, our dear friend John Toves, has left us last Wednesday, just before the Easter Tridium.
After a long and difficult fight against cancer, he has now moved on to a better and more just world.

As Tim, and other commentators have noted, we owe John Toves a debt of gratitude, for being the first courageous person to publicly denounced Apuron for the sick person he is.
He became the Catalyst which allowed for many survivors to come forward.

The funeral will take place in the Bay Area in California, on Saturday the 27th of April.

Here on Guam, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday April the 27th, at 1PM at our Lady of Lourdes Church in Yigo.

You are all invited to participate

A pot luck meal will take place after Mass at the Hall of our Lady of Lourdes.

Fr Paul Gofigan will be the celebrant.

If you have any question, feel free to contact us.

People of faith reflect on the Catholic Church at a crossroads

Johnny S. Villagomez said he's lost trust in the Catholic priests who have been named in clergy sex abuse lawsuits against the Archdiocese of Agana. But he hasn'tt lost faith in God and the Catholic Church.

“Who else is going to take care of the church if not us, the believers?” Villagomez said, after he and his wife, Linda, attended Palm Sunday Mass.

WE COUDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU

As I have no interest in what The Diana says or has ever said, I don't waste my time there, but that is not to say that I don't appreciate it when others send me postings which help to advance JungleWatch.

In fact, I almost wish that I did not have this automatic reflex to vomit whenever I do see The Diana's postings because - since I don't watch TV - I could probably use the comic relief that sometimes the regular TV news can afford you.

Apparently, thanks to Zoltan's letter in the PDN, The Diana once again has her panties in a twist over her blog being characterized as "Neocat blog," or as a "semi-official" Neocat blog as Zoltan characterized it.

The fact is of course - and this is a point that we have always made - so long as The Diana chooses to be The Diana - instead of a real person with a name (like me), then ALL OF US are free, to not only characterize her blog however we want, but also to name her whatever and whoever we want.

I choose to name The Diana "May Llanes" because, well this:

And this:

And then when we posted about this a couple years ago, within a few days, we got this:

Actually, Zoltan and The Diana used to be friends:

But while we all may laugh at the laughingstock that is The Diana, I would admonish you to also offer prayers of thanks.

As I've shared before, The Diana, almost singlehandedly brought down Apuron, and has wrought (though it still may take awhile) the death of Kiko's Heresy.

Thanks to The Diana, she kept the conversation going after The Father Paul Thing, when there really wasn't anything to talk about, and two years before Apuron's first victim took to the streets.

In fact, I learned later, that it was the ongoing tit for tat between The Jungle and The Diana that awoke the sleeping monster that Apuron had long since thought he had killed and buried.

Personally, I want to thank The Diana for pushing The Jungle to nearly NINE MILLION VIEWS.

Seriously, Diana, we couldn't have done it without you. Oh, and about "the other thing," your time is coming.

COURAGE...May.

P.S. Just for fun (if you're looking for some) JungleWatch has over 140 posts exposing The Diana, or more precisely, the Agenda of Pius, the Fake Monk.

WILL AGANA BURN?

“If the Shepherds of the Church refuse to do penance for the spiritual conflagration of the past fifty years, and for the betrayal of Christ’s universal command to evangelize, should we then not fear that God might send another and more shocking sign, like a devastating conflagration or earthquake that would destroy St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome? God will not indefinitely and shamelessly be mocked by so many Shepherds of the Church of our own day, through their betrayal of the Faith, their sycophantic serving of the world and their neo-pagan worship of temporal and earthly realities. To them as well are addressed these words of Christ, ‘I tell you, unless you repent you will all likewise perish.’” (Lk 13:5) - Bishop Schneider: Notre Dame fire is sign of ‘spiritual conflagration’ in the Church

REPORTED IN USA TODAY:
Apuron said this climate, "shown by the local media, which hampered the work of the court of first instance, testifies to the presence of a pressure group that plotted to destroy me, and which has made itself clearly known even to authorities in Rome."

ZOLTAN

Letter: Neocatechumenal Way needs openness, transparency

"An oppression of dissent, including merciless censorship of content and comments at the Way’s semi-official Guam blog, is evidence of fear of openness and transparency. Reality should regain its true meaning as the things we see around us in the light of Catholic teaching."

Because of the significant events that have shaken our Catholic Church on Guam, it is indispensable to face the new realities of religious life to appreciate necessary changes that will ensue. Of particular interest is the future of the worldwide Catholic semi-charismatic movement, the Neocatechumenal Way, on Guam, which has played a significant role in Catholic life during the past 15 to 20 years.  CONTINUED

SAVING APURON...THE REST OF THE STORY...FOR NOW

During an in-flight interview on August 26, 2018 from Dublin to Rome, Pope Francis, speaking of his decision to personally entertain Apuron's appeal, said: “It is a complicated case, on one hand, but not difficult because the evidence is clear.”

Given all the trouble we had had in getting Rome to even take notice, all the bait and switch, the deflection, the denial, the threats of suits against those of us who spoke up, the pulling back the curtain on Cardinal Filoni's role in confounding our efforts, the very vague Sentence that left doubt about what Apuron was actually found guilty of, and Apuron's own threat to exonerate himself in the appeal by "discrediting the witnesses" (starting with me - or didn't you think I knew that), we had every reason to ask WHAT NEXT? when the Pope, in personally taking on Apuron's appeal, decided to bypass the tribunal and then characterized the case as both "not difficult" but "complicated."

And then there was the matter that Apuron had taken advantage of the vague Sentence (which stated only that he had been found guilty of "certain accusations") by inferring that the main accusations - sexual abuse of minors - was not among the "certain accusations," by saying upon submitting his appeal: "I am relieved that the tribunal dismissed the majority of the accusations against me."

For those of us who had been in this battle from the beginning, we knew exactly what was going on.

Everything must be seen through the lens of the hierarchy of the Neocatechumenal Way. I am not speaking here of most people's personal experience of the NCW, I am speaking of the parasitical power bosses that run the NCW and use it as a Trojan horse in the Church to suck off power, money, and control.

To understand just how parasitic and powerful these bad guys are, one has only to read the sordid history of how the NCW hierarchy finagled away the Yona Property, our local church's largest material asset, under the guise of establishing a seminary, and then hid the transaction for years. (For just a taste, read Certificate of Title Fiasco - wherein these operators were able to worm their way even into GovGuam - and The Ultimate Treachery - wherein they tried to pervert a Carmelite Superior.)

So when Pope Francis first said the he was going to bypass the Vatican tribunal process and personally hear Apuron's appeal, and then said that the case was both "not difficult" (because the "evidence is clear") but "complicated," we knew exactly what was going on: the same parasites were at work in Rome to save Apuron - NOT because they cared about Apuron, and not even because they cared about the NCW, but because they cared about their power.

To even begin to understand this mess, one must first understand that Apuron was the NCW's mascot bishop. Apuron was the only bishop in the world known to be one of the "brothers," i.e. just one other member of a Neocat "community." And we on Guam, beginning with Apuron's infamous public slamming of a Vatican directive in 2006 (and in particular his on-air challenge to the legitimate authority of a Cardinal-Prefect), were well aware that Apuron was OWNED by the Neocat power bosses, and that they, not the Pope, were his superiors.

It is very clear that those bosses never thought things would go as far as they did. In the beginning it was just this noisome blog that wouldn't shut up. But in their attempt to shut down this blog, they made a big mistake. In fact, if anything or anyone can be directly credited with bringing Apuron down, it was the deluge of hateful, threatening, and mostly anonymous comments (nearly 70,000). These comments kept people around the world coming back to watch the war, and every log-on added another number to the page view counter. And every number on that counter was another thump of the "tell tale heart" buried beneath Apuron's chancery floor.

As the page views climbed into the millions and the country counter began registering nearly every nation in the world, the press began to take notice, but more importantly, on the other side of the Pacific, a certain John Toves began to take notice. And John knew what we didn't: "THE AGAT BOYS." And I assume you know the story from there. All hell broke loose.

In fact, Apuron foresaw what was going to happen. For decades, he had been quite sure that his secrets were secure. But this blog thing presented a problem he hadn't anticipated: people talking, or, more specifically, people talking anonymously (i.e. without consequences), and in a venue that the whole world could see. At some point, Apuron knew that it would only be a matter of time before the boys he had long since buried deep 'neath the dirt of his power, would wake from their sleep of shame and grief and begin to speak. And speak they did.

This is why Apuron went to Rome in October of 2013 to try to shut me down. I still remember my amusement when I got that letter from Cardinal Edwin O'Brien, Grand Master of the Equestrian Knights of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, threatening me to "desist" from going after Apuron.

I found his letter amusing because first it was obvious that O'Brien hadn't written the letter himself. Second, it was laughably obvious that English was a second language for the writer of the letter (and O'Brien is an American). Third, it was just as obvious that O'Brien hadn't even read the letter or he would have corrected the grammatical errors. And fourth, it was very clear that Apuron or his people had approached O'Brien to shut me up because it is highly doubtful that a powerful Vatican Cardinal would spend his evenings drinking wine and reading JungleWatch - which at that time, had less than 50,000 views.

It wasn't until John Toves showed up that I began to put the pieces together. Apuron knew that the growing attention to this blog, and its venue for anonymous comments, would soon attract the attention of something he had long since suffocated in the dark cellar of his personal history, even if he (and he alone) could never completely shut out the dull thumping of those tell tale hearts. Thus, his run to Rome and his (and O'Brien's) attempt to bully me into silence.

(BTW, the story gets even wilder when in the aftermath of the McCarrick thing, Archbishop Vigano names O'Brien in his August 2018 letter as one of the prelates caught up in the homosexual cabal that is running the Vatican. But I'm saving that story.)

Given just the few items mentioned in the foregoing, one can already get a feel for what the Pope meant when he said Apuron's case was "complicated." What was complicated for the Pope was not whether or not Apuron was guilty. The Pope had already said the "evidence is clear" on that matter. What was complicated was how he was going to navigate through the same sort of treachery that we have had to navigate here at Ground Zero Guam these many years.

Pope Francis' marching orders appear to have been clear: he was to exonerate Apuron. We know this because the power brokers who ordered the Pope to do this were the same masterminds who wrote Apuron's appeal letter for him wherein he aggressively declares that he will be exonerated through his appeal. Apuron's handlers would not have written and stated this so publicly had they not had assurances that Apuron's exoneration and restoration to power was forthcoming. They had their guarantees (most likely from "the Red Pope").

At this point though, it was no longer about the NCW power bosses saving Apuron, it was about Apuron saving the NCW bosses' power. Because Apuron had been so celebrated throughout the NCW, Apuron's flaming fall from his exalted place, especially as the first bishop to be tried and found guilty by a Vatican tribunal in modern times, would so wound the NCW (i.e. undermine its wealth base - the "black trash bags") that it too would follow Apuron down in flames.

Remember now that we are not talking about the NCW "on the ground" - the evangelism and the communities and what happens there, we are talking about the drivers of the Trojan horse, the power bosses who drive the horse under the guise of "the new evangelization" and have cancerously wormed their way into the veins of wealth and power in almost every corner of the Universal Church.

This is a topic for another day, but even the sinister NCW bosses are puppets of a higher power, because at root, Kiko's theology is (in the words of Bishop Schneider) a "Jewish-Protestant heresy." And heresy has only one Author: the same who said "you will not die."

Apuron was well on his way to being exonerated, and if not exonerated, at least he would be given cover to hide under the crafty term "certain accusations," so that the world, and specifically the NCW world, might think that the whole deal was about some mere mismanagement, and that Apuron (per his own story) was the victim of a nefarious real estate salesman (me) who allegedly was in league with a Chinese gambling interest. (SMH)

But then came the McCarrick thing.

McCarrick, as archbishop of Washinton D.C., had bestrode the the U.S. Catholic world for many years, and in retirement, as we now know, had slithered and slimed his way in to the highest halls of power in Rome, and, specifically, with Pope Francis, had become a king maker, directing Francis (or so we are now learning) as to which of his buddies (think Cupich) would make archbishops and cardinals of powerful, rich American dioceses.

McCarrick's history proved to be too sordid for Francis to ignore, and as the World glared in on him over the McCarrick thing, Francis' options to help the Neocats (via Filoni) save Apuron, quickly dissipated.

With the Apuron thing hanging over his head, Francis could not very well exonerate the first bishop to be convicted by a Vatican tribunal led by one of the world's most well known and trusted Cardinals (Burke), even if Apuron was a no name himself from a place most of the world knows little about. So Apuron was doomed.

But not yet.

Remember, this is not about the NCW saving Apuron, this is about Apuron saving the NCW...by saving Apuron, even if the lies have to get bigger. Thus, Apuron's response to even the Pope finding him guilty on appeal. As we know, Apuron (actually, his handlers) continues to maintain his innocence, but (and I know exactly who this is aimed at) he continues to cast himself as the target of a calculated conspiracy.

Yes, "the evidence is clear," but the case is "complicated." And now you know why. And soon, the day is coming when you will know "the rest of the story."
