Anon 9/9/14 at 10:12p, what flavors of Kool-Aid will be served at the event? :)

  4. I think they still some help with their grammar. It should read "The parish . . . celebrateS . . ." And, there is no need for the commas in the second sentence. Let's see if they correct it before the fiesta.

  5. Wow, they finally got the date in the body of the message right on the second edit...they didn't catch it the first time? Houston seems like we still have a problem....

  6. Actually the date still reads 2013. One more time for clarity.

    1. The third time reads 2014. The date reads Sept 13. But yes, "parish" is singular, so the verb should be "celebrates" not celebrate. Oh well.

  8. Here is the silly issues that timmy brings to light. timmy should just go to his latin mass community and play the piano

    1. Ummm, the piano is not permitted at the Latin Mass. And "silly issues" is plural so the correct verb would be "are". Get back to class.

    2. LOL regarding 12:09PM comment about piano playing during Latin Mass. EDUCATE YOURSELF ABOUT OUR FAITH (and the English language for that matter), YOUR IGNORANCE IS OVERWHELMING.

    3. Anon @ 12:09. Why are you here and not patronizing your daughter's blog instead? She needs help with her English, but perhaps not from you.

The parish of Hagatña celebrate the Feast of Dulce Nombre de Maria on Sept. 13, 2044. All parishioners, and devotees of Dulce Nombre de Maria, are invited. Please call the Hagatña parish for more details.

  10. When there's nothing to write about the only thing left to do is correct grammar. Running out of material?

    3. Tim actually corrected the dates which were important. He just threw in the English correction. If you will look at the other postings, Tim doesn't correct the English just for the sake of correcting it. He does so in addition to a more important issue. He wouldn't comment just on the English error. So, you got nothing to do than point this out since you can't correct or prove him wrong on the other important items?

  11. WOW............ THOSE WHO ARE FOLLOWERS OF KIKO KADUKO NEED TO GROW UP. YOU ARE ALL ADULTS AND SURELY ACT LIKE MY SIX YEAR OLD.

If indeed you are "The Way" then why so secretive and post anonymous on this blog. Come out and prove at least to me that I can gain that power that you all seem to have...oopsy, except it's done in a way where you do nothing but hide, hide, hide, hide.

“Where there is charity and wisdom, there is neither fear nor ignorance. Where there is patience and humility, there is neither anger nor disturbance. Where there is poverty and joy, there is neither greed nor avarice. Where there is rest and meditation, there is neither anxiety nor restlessness. Where there is fear of the Lord to guard an entrance, there the enemy cannot have a place to enter. Where there is a heart full of mercy and discernment, there is neither excess nor hardness of heart.”

  13. In an effort to ensure that an accurate and grammatically correct version is published on the Archdiocese website in time for the Festal Mass, let me help whoever is in charge of this announcement.

This is what the text for Version #5 should read:

The parish of Hagatña celebrates the Feast of Dulce Nombre de Maria on Sept. 13, 2014. All parishioners and devotees of Dulce Nombre de Maria are invited. Please call the Hagatña parish for more details.

Please note: (1) the word celebrates has replaced "celebrate" (subject-verb agreement) in all the versions; (2) the date 2014 has replaced "2044" from Version #4; and (3) the deletion of the unnecessary commas in the second sentence in all the versions.

    Go for it!!

  14. This is not silly. This post is very important. It shows something very wrong is going on at the Chancery. Why would you refers questions to the Barrigada parish for a Cathedral matter that is so important, unless Fr. Adrian is running the show, or is he? There is no rhyme and reason to how things are being governed and operated by the Chancery. Bad grammar is a sign of sloppy thinking. It is undisciplined. Things seem discombobulated at the Chancery. Thus, this is just one more piece of evidence that this archbishop cannot govern and is grossly incompetent. Employees take their cue from their leader and the Chancery employees are doing just that! Terrible.

  15. Who says the new Rector-JCD doesn't know how to plan? He is so far ahead of the rest of us mere Catholics that he's already planning for 2044. Must be the power of that kiko-bread they have that make them so far superior (only in their own minds) to just Catholics.
Poor David. Just can't seem to catch a break. Maybe he really should pass everything over to Adrian the Terrible.
Sad lot running the Mother Church these days. Closed the Museum, closed the media ministries, closed the broadcast of the 0930 Sunday mass, and closed the gift shop. When will Jackie and Joe Terlaje decide the cemetery should also be closed?
They claim mismanagement by the old administration who ran things without complaining for 20 years. Yet, just 6 weeks after the neo crew took command the place is falling apart. So, Tony, who's guilty of mismanagement? If you want to keep your Church open you had better bring back the Rector who made things happen, rather than keeping the Rector who made things close down!
    Pizza be with you!

  16. During the Buzz interview with Jess Lujan, Msgr James' siblings talked about how he had the knack for getting people together for the church. This was so evident when he was the rector of the cathedral. People know that he's genuine and he displays more qualities of being Christ-like, unlike Archbishop Apuron. Being Christ-like is not just the title. He has to show it.
